Those of you who own Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, or are considering getting it, may also be excited to hear that we released a new update for the game with a free new level: a mini-adventure called Quest for Cake.
The new level is a mini adventure featuring the three heroes and their (or mainly Pontius's) desire for some food - a cake, no less! As a response to fan feedback, the adventure is set in the style of the Book theme!
With the update, Trine 3 now also officially supports SteamOS and Linux. More about the update on our blog.
Check out the trailer for the Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power update below. :)
Like the previous Trine games, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power supports both online and local co-op for up to three people - so don't forget to share the news with your friends so that you can play together!
Today's release is for Windows only, but we hope to release both Mac and Linux versions later this year.
The game is priced $21.99 / 21.99 € / £15.99. A 10% launch discount is applied for the first week. :)
The Trinelogy and Frozenbyte Collection 2015 Game Packages are also on -40% sale for a while, so if you don't have the previous Trine games yet, you might want to take a look. You can find both Packages from the Steam Store Page for Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power.
Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power entered Early Access April 21st this year and we'd like to thank everyone who took part in it - it's been a wonderful journey for us, and we hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have! You are awesome!
We also took some new screenshots to celebrate the release. :) You can find them from our blog.
The Trine series will soon continue with Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, which will be first released as an Early Access game on Steam. It will be available for purchase next week on Tuesday April 21st. Check the new Steam Store page here.
The Early Access version will be priced at 19.99€/$19.99. You can read more details from our blog. Also don't forget to watch the new trailer below. ;)
Have you already tried out the editors for Trine Enchanted Edition and Trine 2? All Steam owners of the games received the editors for free a while ago, so if you own the games on Steam, then give them a try! Check out our Wiki to learn how to get started. :)
You can also check the existing custom maps from the Trine 2 Workshop! There’s no user-made content for Trine Enchanted Edition yet, but there are a few model levels you can play with. Who will be the first to make a map for Trine Enchanted Edition? ;)
Also note that our Wiki is an open wiki, so feel free to check out what others have learned there and to also contribute with your own findings – any new information could help others to make awesome maps!
Last month we released our Editor on Steam, which made possible for users to create and share levels to Trine. There are editors available to both Trine Enchanted Edition and Trine 2: Complete Story.
And now, there are a lot of great community made maps on the Steam Workshop, which is awesome! So, go check them out if you haven't already. We also made a video to highlight some of our moments playing the custom maps, check out the short trailer below. Special thanks to the players who made the levels!
