We are pleased to announce that Steam Cloud support is now enabled for all games in the X series, to bring the older games in line with X Rebirth.
Your savegames will now be synchronised across different PCs using the same Steam account by default.
If you do not wish to use Steam Cloud to synchronise your games, then right-click on the game in question in the Steam library, choose Properties, go to the Updates tab and uncheck the "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization" checkbox setting.
You can, of course, re-enable it at any time if you change your mind.
The Bonus Package for X3: Terran Conflict has just been released on Steam. It's a free collection of script plugins that have been created by members of the Egosoft forum community. Egosoft has selected them as extensions that fit well into, and do not destroy, the balance of the game. To access the bonus content, simply install it from the store page. The Bonus Package will also show up in the DLC tab of the game properties, where you have the option to uninstall it.
If you have previously installed the non-Steam version of the Bonus Package, it is recommended that you uninstall it first.
Dammit, Humble guys. We leave you alone for a few days, and you barf up more games all over your website. There are two Humble happenings right now. Firstly, their Weekly Sale ticked over - kicking out the retro shooters and replacing them with the cold, dark void of Egosoft's space obsession. The entirety of the X-Series is being made available, minus the upcoming, spectacle promising, X-Rebirth. Secondly, over in the Humble mansion's main wing, the Indie Bundle 9 has added four more games, including Bastion and Limbo.
Here's what's in the Weekly Sale:
X: Beyond the Frontier X-Tension X2: The Threat X3: Reunion plus its DLC X3: Reunion - Bonus Package X3: Terran Conflict (for purchases above $6) X3: Albion Prelude plus its soundtrack (for purchases above $6) X-Superbox Bonus Material (for purchases above $6) X-Rebirth soundtrack
Alternatively, replace that entire list with a man shouting "SPAAAAAAAAAAACE!" forever. It amounts to pretty much the same thing.
And now, in the more than $2.89 million raising Humble Indie Bundle 9, you can get the following for an above-the-average purchase:
Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken A Virus Named Tom Bastion Limbo
That's all for this weeks edition of "Humble: The 'Oh Dear God How Am I Going To Play All Of These Games' Story".
The X games hurl you into the most detailed universe ever created, right into the middle of an epic, intergalactic story filled with twists and turns at every jump gate. Become the hero once more as you TRADE, FIGHT, BUILD, and THINK your way to victory.
Immerse yourself in a living, breathing universe where all your actions have consequences.
