Terms of Use
When you buy The Dead Linger in its Alpha stage, you are paying for the game as it is right now, during development. It is not finished, it is in progress, and you will be able to experience the game as we add new content, publish new updates, and all that good stuff.
Right to Discontinue Development
We are always planning to continue updating and developing our projects with passion. That said, we may discontinue or halt development on a project at any time, for any reason, however unlikely this occurrence would be.
Refunds
Our official policy is that we do not offer any form of refund. If you are having trouble running the game, please contact us or post on the forums and we will do our very best to help get it working for you.
Distribution of our Content
In no uncertain terms; you may never distribute anything we’ve made. This also includes modified versions of anything we’ve made. You can not distribute or otherwise sell modified copies of our game, or anything else we’ve made. This includes, but is not limited to, game assets (graphics, audio, art, code), and server/client software for The Dead Linger.
All game downloads will come directly from us. We are not using any third party distributors. While 3rd-party plugins and add-ons may be present, they are NOT official, and we would not like to mislead any one to believe they are. Please do not title your mods or tools with the word “Official”.
You bought it, you own it.
Once you have purchased The Dead Linger, it is yours to do as you please. You may modify it all you’d like, but we will be careful that it doesn’t evolve into griefing or other forms of debauchery. If things get out of control on that end, we will be forced to put a stop to it. We’d much rather spend time developing the game than cracking down on jerks.
You make it, you own it.
If you want to create a 3rd party plugin or tool, that plugin/tool belongs to you. Anything 3rd party that you create belongs to you. You can even sell a third party plugin for money. We have the final say on what is a plugin/tool and what is not. If you have questions about this, come ask us before developing the tool or plugin, to be on the safe side.
If and when a modding API is added to the game, you MAY NOT sell mods of The Dead Linger under any circumstances.
Screenshots and Videos are fine.
You may do whatever you please with screenshots and video of the game, but do NOT rip art resources from the game and give them out and/or sell them. You may not use logos or art assets from the game and sell them under any circumstances. If you are concerned about what may or may not be permitted, ask us first, to be on the safe side. Please check out our Youtube monetization page as well.
We reserve the right to change this agreement at any time, for any reason, and without having to announce it. All changes are retroactive.
