The Tier 6 Intrepid Ship and Bundles Release Thursday 11/20

When planning first began for Operation Delta Rising, the Starfleet Corps of Engineers quickly realized that an updated version of the famed Intrepid class would be essential for the mission's success. Most of the advanced technology used in the Pathfinder was first tested on the U.S.S. Voyager, which was completely updated before it departed for the Delta Quadrant. When Admiral Tuvok was satisfied with the ship's performance, work could begin to produce Pathfinders for the fleet.

The Pathfinder Long Range Science Vessel is a Tier 6 version of the Intrepid class science vessel. It features a hybrid Intelligence Bridge Officer seat and comes equipped with an Aero Shuttle Bay universal console. Additionally, it can equip the Long Range Science Vessel Retrofit’s Ablative Generator universal console.

Get more details on the ship, Season 7 Voyager interior, and bundles here!

Having thousands of hours played into this game, STO has been a bitter sweet experience. STO was a great game back when it was a subscription model, though it was still generic on all aspect of gameplay. The ship models are very nicely designed, ground game however; Very shallow, while the highlight of the game are the space battles, you cannot help but think it is a mere space bar spammer or clicker. Through the years the storyline has improved and the addition of voice acting has helped enhance the experience, however; that cannot save it from the harsh Development team strategy, which are time gates, lock boxes, extreme cost for upgrades, and lack of customer support. This is truly one for the most diehard Star Trek fans like me, but for serious gamers, avoid this one unless you love all PWE games & their business model.

This game was good at first but now they do not care about the customer or their products they just want money. There are problems they don't seem to fix they just prefer to ignore them and add more stuff to the game. There are bugs that make the game hard to play like the power tray and the loadout don't work. I really can't tell you how much I hate this game and Cryptic Studio or Perfect World Entertainment.

40 hours in.

I would recomend it. It feels like I am playing in the Star Trek universe. I LOVE playing with the starships.

It feels like a mess of systems with a weak focus, but that may be because I like single player games as opposed to MMOs. (I feel similar about The Old Republic) Although this one is less focused due to the dual systems of space and ground combat. Which means that both are less developed that might be expected if the game only used one of those.

That said, both space and ground are not bad, but really don't feel like a part of a triple A title.

It's free! so give it a shot.

If you love star trek, you will probably enjoy it. Otherwise it may be best to give it a pass.

Whether your a fan of Star Trek or just enjoy Sci-Fi fun, this vast universe is open and ready to be explored. While the free to play concept is alive and well, playing is the key to winning. Granted there are a numerous amount of ingame content to purchase, it wont put you ahead of the die hard grinders. With the new release of Delta Rising the content and end game playability continues to increase. Developers strive to satisfy the fan base and are always trying to bring more to the table. With weekly patches and monthly events along with the hundreds of hours of standard content and end game missions, youll never have the dreaded thought "What to do". With many hours played, and many thousands more ahead of me, my interest continues to peak. Set your engines to warp, and beam into a story you wont soon forget!

Here is the pro to the game:

- Leonard Nimoy narrates and is the voice in the datalog

That is all.

If you know nothing about Star Trek and are looking for a space RPG combat game, this still is a poor choice but not the worst. However, for a game based on a franchise that were resolved around conflict resolution, problem solving and ingenuity, this game took out all three and decided to make a space combat game. The characters are unimaginative and the missions consist of Space Ship combat - ground combat - Space Ship Combat, lather-rinse-repeat. It's not about exploration, it's about being the Federation's enforcement. Not worth it.

This game was a good game at first, the story was fun and the game play addictive, however as time passed I found that this game just becomes very boring with horrible enemy AI and lack of intresting events, not to mention that the cutscenes are complete crap! I wouldn't think you should get this unless you find it fun to sit around and vegitate for hours in the main lobby!

Well the game is great to play with others. The game is fun and iis exciting. I have only one bad thing to say about this game.

i currently have a computer with all high end computer parts. including the R9 280 series Graphics card. no matter what i did to patch this game and while playing it, the game ends up crashing out my computer and gives me nothing but a big blue screen when it happens. it seems to only happen only when i have star trek on. this is a matter partaining to the programing of star trek and i brought it up with the staf and creators of the game. only to get the responce of "it is not our programing it is your computer that is the problem." SERIOUSLY! with a computer packed with high end componets? they got to be smoking crak or something. The R9 280 graphics card can more then handle this game. smoke another one guys. and leave the game making to professionals guys.

Its fun when you are playing and doing instances and quests with others. Its not that bad when you are buy yourself either. The last time I was able to play though the leveling was too easy and too quick. I would recommend it to others if they were going to play with me. I enjoyed the fact that it was an MMO based in the Star Trek universe.

Engagins and entertaining to play for those who are a fan of Star Trek (and possibly those who are not, although STO's charm will be lost on those who don't enjoy Star Trek).

The gameplay is enjoyable but can become repetitive the more you play, but such is the norm with MMOs, and can become a grind when confronted with the higher level end-game content, because missions have to be replayed to build experience points to advance to the highest ranks.

The game follows Star Trek lore faithfully and recreates the vessels of Star Trek very well with a high degree of accuracy, which can be a limiting factor as the developers will have to start creating their own designs if they wish to add more vessels when they add the existing ones thus degrading the fan appeal of the game itself.

STO has been focussing more on Fleet missions and PvE events lately where large groups of players are necessary to complete a mission, which sadly takes away from the single-player enjoyability of the game that is present in the campaign missions.

All in all I would recommend STO to anyone who enjoys Star Trek.

This game is such a mixed experience for me. On the one hand I want to hate the terrible land combat and the quests inability to engage me (though that is probably a bit more of my fault than the game's) but on the other hand the space combat is one of my favorites I've encountered in a game and I love the thrilling feeling I get when the game allows me to upgrade my ship to the next really cool looking stage. Gameplay wise the game has two parts, as I mentioned above, land and space combat. These two balance out in one being boringly bland and generic, and the other being really fun and feeling appropriate to the universe. The space combat is the better part, feeling like a sort of naval combat except in space. You have to line your ship up in the appropriate positions to fire ceratain weapons and it feels more like the sub-esque combat of the orginal Star Trek series, and is nice change of pace. The leveling is kept fairly well paced throughout the game as I remember only having to grind for levels a couple of times during my playthrough. Also another good point is that most of the real money currency is used for cosmetics (like costumes based on the original shows' designs). However, as stated before is incredibly generic, it's very similar to the hotkey buttons that I complained about in Lord of the Rings Online, this combat system can be fun if done right, such as Aura Kingdom's mix of being able to use two class weapons and rediculously flashy animations, otherwise though it's very boring. Unfortunately, Star Trek Online falls into the boring category of hotkey combat. Ultimately the enjoyable space combat and the charm of the Star Trek universe keeps me enjoying the game however. If you're a fan of Star Trek, space combat, or naval style ship combat, you will definately enjoy this game. If not, I'd still recommend giving it a try, there are worse games to spend a few minutes on.

Star Trek Online the perfect MMORPG. It is Free to Play, but not Pay to Win. You may progress through the game faster, and get some exclusive items (mainly customization items) and features with a paid subscription, but the free version is still perfectly enjoyable.

The high-end ships and items are very expensive, but you do not have to pay with real-world currency just to purchase them. All you need to do is grind... a lot. I have almost one million energy credits, and that's all from playing casually, no gridning involved. You pick up items from fallen enemies, and if you pick up all of the loot critters and sell the stuff you don't need, you'll be rich in no time.

The more valuable currencies are a bit harder to come by, but again, they are obtainable by simply playing the game!

The game has a lot bugs, but almost all of them can be fixed with a console command, and I have only come accross one game-breaking bug. I feel like I should mention that I have put in alot of hours into this game. Like, hundreds (the 7.8 hours on record is only on Steam, I usually play with it's standalone launcher.)

And don't even get me started on the fan service! It's simply wonderful! Actors from the television series reprise their roles to voice their characters' in-game counterparts.

Whether you're a Trekkie, or just enjoy MMO's, definitely give this game a go.

The Game itself is ok, but I found it buggy. This wouldn't be so much of a problem if it had acceptable customer service, which it doesn't. Perfect World's Customer service does nothing for you, except have you jump through hoops, and give you cookie cutter responses. I played the game a year or so ago, and left because the customer service was lacking.

I came back to the game a few weeks ago (to discover my old toons, were wiped away, but thats not my complaint)
Due to a bug, I lost access to the captain level ships. The GM I contacted was unable or unwilling to do anything to address the issue other than telling me that it would take development time to fix the issue, and then told me to submit a bug report, but that QA wouldn't repond to me. After leveling for several weeks, I found my character unable to proceed with the game, and I couldn't bring myself to continue playing and supporting a company that treats its customers in such a way.

There are plenty of other games out there, from companies who know what customer service is supposed to be. I will never play another game with perfect world's name attached to it.

Game is a sham now. Devs have openly admitted that they have no interest in PVP balance and are only interested in devising ways to extract more money out of players.
