This is an app to read and watch PC Gamer Digital magazines, which are sold as DLC for about 1€ each. It looks and feels great, but it has sadly been abandoned for over two years. If you really want to read and watch old content you might give it a go, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend this. If you want to you could check out the first magazine though, that one is free.

No longer receiving updates or editions, but there are some half-decent videos there. It isn't really a game though..

Teased on their podcast as the next great thing in PC gaming journalism, PC Gamer killed off this app after just 7 "issues". This application was a buggy mess when it released, and it was full of advertisements, even though it's pay to "play".

In 2014, this review probably doesn't mean much to anyone, but stay away from this half-baked concept of an app.

PC gamer for steam has been discontinued since episode 7. For the moment the issues can still be purchased individually in the steam store for a low price but they are all episodes that contains material from games that were released roughly a few years ago. The app can be used to get a handful of achievements if you are into that sort of thing but that's about it.

The idea behind the application looked promising though. But sometimes it just doesn't work out.

All the best!

I was expecting news for popular PC games, but PC Gamer Digital really disappointed me : you only get reviews/small movies about games like Minecraft, and you even have to pay for them.

2/10

Nothing interesting. And pay for each episode? Few videos? No. Every real game magazine have more content and more interesting articles. Here you got something too obviously - you don't need to pay for that to know it (you don't need even read about it).

Paying for each episode is ridiculous. Also it no longer recieves updates since 2011, thus many people play it and buy episode 1 just to get a TF2 hat.

Kind of neat. Personally I wouldn't pay money for this, there is OBLIVION WITH GUNS, WITHOUT GUNS ads everywhere. Also achievements for a this... seriously... have we come to a point in our lives where we need a banana sticker for EVERYTHING we do?

Lolwut? This was a good idea for its time, but to be honest, I'd rather just read their magazine (which I'm subscribed to and absolutely love, anyway). There really isn't much brought to the table with this, so don't even bother.

PC Gamer Digital is an awesome magazine made inside a wonderful app. Each issue is really cheap - roughly 1 buck - so if you like reading and gaming you should consider reading it. Too bad they are not making any more issues, but I sincerely hope they do in the future.

I highly recommend you don't waste 2 GB of bandwidth downloading this mess! We already have multimedia magazines, they're called web sites, and they don't take 20 minutes to download. (And the content in here is outdated and dull. Bonus!)
