New Expansion - E.Y.E Blood Games

E.Y.E: Blood Games takes you into player competitions with new and varied maps.

Battle Royal:

In this round by round competition, the last man standing wins. All other participants are enemies!
You start each round with a random weapon and armor. Your aim is to finish the game with the most possible points.
You get points when you kill an enemy and also, when you are the survivor of the round.
You are free to use one of your existing Avatar, including one from the solo.
Some of your PSI and cyber powers are deactivated in this game mode.

Team Artifact:

Team competition: In this mode, Jians confront Culters for the artifact control. To do that you need to:
  • Take the artifact and carry it to the enemy area.
If the artifact is in the enemy area, the round ends. A new one will start and players will return to their initial positions.
Each team starts with an amount of resurectors. You win the round when the other team runs out of resurectors. There are several ways to do it:
  • Carrying the artifact to the enemy area.
  • Killing an enemy.
  • Hacking special interfaces.
At the beginning of the game, choose your team and character class.

About This Game

As a member of the strange secret society E.Y.E, you wake up after a fight in which your fellow teammates were killed. E.Y.E, an armed branch of the Secreta Secretorum is attempting a coup against the all-powerful Federation, a coalition of several worlds and planets that rule with an iron fist.
To complicate matters, E.Y.E itself is plagued with its own internal conflicts between the Jian faction and the Culter faction, to which you belong. Your loyalties are torn between Commander Rimanah, your superior and the chief of the Secreta who is a separatist with an unstoppable ambition, and the "Mentor" your friend and instructor. The "Mentor" tries at all costs to unite the two rival factions. In doing so, you are thrust into the middle of a fratricidal war frought with political conspiracies and quests for power in which different groups and megacorporations are implicated.
These troubles set the stage for an attack by an unknown force bent on destroying humankind.

Key features:

  • Multiplayer co-op modes directly influence solo play, and vice-versa. The limits of solo and multiplayer games are finally left behind.
  • Psychological and mental trauma management.
  • 25 weapons, different shooting modes, dynamic precision, drilling shots, iron sighting, extended zoom.
  • Complete hacking system with game play impact
  • 9 devastatingly subtle PSI powers.
  • More than 20 NPC with non-scripted, fully reactive and efficient AI, endowed with a sense of initiative. Bloody close combat with technical detail. Incredible physical movement realism thanks to Source Engine physics.
  • Excellent replayability - primary and secondary missions, dynamic environments, non-linear level progression, and random NPC spawn, type and appearance. Death doesn't penalize players: no need to restart the current mission.
  • Open-level gameplay for hours of fun without reloading.

This is really strange... I love the game, but it is one of the most misterious games i've ever played, it gave me a feeling like nothing else, i'll never forget the adventures i had with this game, this game, some how just turned out to be way better them i thought, you are able to spend hours on a server with like 3 people, and just have so much fun, and interact in a way i can't describe, is really odd the feeling i get when i play it, this was actually the second game i've ever bought on my account, i really recommend you to get it, you'll have a experience that you're not quite expecting, thanks developers, for this game, the experience, and all the fun i got from this, it is so nostalgic remmembering this right now. (Dont judge me on my hours of gameplay, i've actually played a lot more of this) :)

This game embodies fully what games should be. It's a simple source based fps rpg that takes everything to the next level. With an amazing soundtrack and inticate level design to the gunplay and leveling system, I found very little to complain about with this game.

Would not recommend to people who dislike words
Would recommend to people who enjoy fun and have a little patience

Are your legs OK?

E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy is a low budget FPS/RPG on acid.

Take Blade Runner, Warhammer 40K, Deus Ex, Neuromancer and Ridley Scott's Aliens and chuck it all in a blender, add a hearty dose of your favourite recreational psychedelic, and I think you might have the smoothie Streumon were drinking when they made this game.

It's beatifully complex. Your character has a web of stats, research, cybernetics, psionic powers and weapons to navigate. You can cloak to go invisible, turn enemies insane, spawn copies of yourself, and even teleport yourself INTO enemies and explode them from within.

It's beatifully obtuse. A relevant quote from your own character in the game is: 'There's nothing to understand! Nothing makes any sense.' The story is on a meta-level to end all meta-levels. By the time you've reached the true ending (there's three 'not-true' endings you have to complete before the 'true' ending), you won't know who you are anymore, or what's real, or isn't, or whether you ever really escaped your cycles of guilt.

It's beatifully insane. The map design varies from 'Holy ♥♥♥♥ is this even source engine?' to 'Eugh, this is definitely source engine.' The characters all seem to be batshit crazy, including yourself, if going by the dialogue is any indication. Speaking of dialogue, it's badly translated, but that just fits right in with the bizarre world anyway. If it's your first time playing you're likely to get lost a lot in the maps. Persevere. Gain Brouzouf. It's worth it.

And you can upgrade your cyber-legs to go FAST.

I haven't got the remotest ****ing clue what is going on in this game. And not in a clever, mysterious, well-crafted-world-where-not-all-is-as-it-seems way, which it's clear the devs were trying for. Even overlooking the english-as-a-second-language mistakes, the writing is utter garbage. Too many factions and characters introduced too quickly and making no apparent difference to what's going on.

I have amnesia and don't know anything about my situation, yet I have opinions and memories about various characters?

More importantly, I don't understand the gameplay mechanics and there's very little explanation. You need to remember the briefing dialogue, because despite there being a high tech character UI it doesn't record dialogue and the objectives it does record don't give you any idea why you're doing them if you don't remember the details.

This game is a mess. It wants very badly to be a blend of Syndicate, Deus Ex, and possibly Fallout's Brotherhood of Steel. It doesn't succeed. There's probably a good game somewhere in there, but there's so much mess that should have been stripped out or implemented better.

Not explaining anything in game is not a substitute for cleverness. It's just an inscrutable, badly put together mess.

I feel like the learning curve for this game is about as steep as I've ever seen. Maybe I missed something, but I had no idea what I was doing, why I was doing it, or what was going on around me. All the menus, dear god the menus, were so utterly confusing I gave up even clicking on them. I don't know if you can change the audio, but I wanted to put the game on mute almost immediately because of the conversations. It was like a drill into my brain. The gunplay was....okay I suppose, but it felt unnatural. I liked all the different kits and how you pick your loadout, but when you pull the trigger, it felt like you're throwing pillow bullets. Games like Hard Reset do a significantly better job making you feel like you are holding an actual weapon.
I really wanted to give it a chance, but every time my mouse hovers over the icon, I shudder and move to a different game before I have to think about it too much.

E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy is a shooter with one of the most interesting setting I have ever seen in a video games, and it has an amazing atmosphere too! While the writing is really bad, it doesn't get in a way too much and the story can be ignored. While the game is just decent in singleplayer, E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy is probably the best co-op multiplayer shooter I have ever played. It's not just about shooting too, as players can use various PSI abilities and other kinds of skills too. I recommend getting it with friends to play together. However, if you have no friends, then it's pretty good too, albeit you will miss the strongest point of the game.

A lot of people say E.Y.E. is "flawed" and that is has "unrealized" potential. However, this implies that E.Y.E., bugs and unintended glitches aside, did not turn out the way the developers intended it to be. That's not really the case.

I think a lot of misunderstandings about E.Y.E. stem from the fact that a lot of people misunderstood what E.Y.E.is supposed to be.

If for some reason you really want to understand the mentality that spawned E.Y.E. and why it is the way it is, here's my suggestion. Install Half-life 1 and play it if you haven't already, then play a bit of Sven Co-op. Then once this is done, go install the HL1 mod "Syndicate Black Ops". This mod was actually created by the devs of E.Y.E. and is it's predecessor for most intents and purposes. After that, go play E.Y.E. again. There is a good chance that E.Y.E. will suddenly make sense, and its intentions will probably turn out to be not quite as lofty as you might have thought.

E.Y.E. is not Deus Ex, STALKER, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, and it was never meant to be. It sort of reaches in that direction but it stems from a different place. The notion that E.Y.E. was supposed to be like one of those games was shot down by the devs early on, but people wanted a game like that so badly they were willing to believe that it was one of those games anyway and so eventually they just rolled with it.

E.Y.E. comes from an alternate world where games like Deus Ex, System Shock 2, and STALKER became huge successes and sold as much as CoD does in our world.

It has RPG mechanics, various tools, a hacking system, inventory management, leaning, and all the sorts of mechanics we associate with a more "sophisticated" game, but these are just a means and in this case they are not matched with "sophisticated" ends. In this case, they are all here to further the objective of "killing tons of enemies" and "being a badass".

E.Y.E. has respawning enemies because if they didn't respawn you'd run out of enemies to kill. Stealth is not fleshed out because stealth is not intended as a gameplay approach by itself, it's just another tool to help you kill more enemies, and in this case it works quite well. Hacking lets you do all sorts of interesting things, but it's also meant to be just another tool you use to be a badass killing machine and is not its own separate play-style. The cybernetic and magic themes are not there to provoke deep thought, they're there just for flavor and to cram in more abilities to make you a badass killing machine.

If that's not enough gameplay for you by itself then you're probably going to hate the game because that's what the gameplay is and for better or worse that's what it intended to be. The game was mad by and for people who find this sort of play to be satisfying.

The confusing plot that people like to speculate about is just the icing on the cake and excuse to have the sorts of weird locations and maps the game has. It has a story of course but again it's mostly there to justify sending the player to odd places. The game has magical werewolves and space stoner hippies, that should have clued people in that this isn't a super-serious plot or setting. There's a random guy in one of the levels who's depressed and you can talk him into incinerating himself. He doesn't exist to change anything, he's there for the ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles. That's a pretty good summary of how "serious" or "deep" the plot is meant to be.

Anyway, there's my review of E.Y.E., interpret that how you will.
