Spacecom, our new strategy game is available on Steam

We have some good news for all the strategy games fans out there! Yesterday we've released Spacecom – a minimalistic space strategy created by Flow Combine and published by 11 bit studios.

It’s a strategic-to-the-bone, starfleet command game with both, entertaining single player and challenging multiplayer. Spacecom is a battle of strategists in which deception, smart movement, and choices to battle decide victory or defeat. No coincidence, no luck – it’s all about preparing a plan and bringing it to life.

You can learn more about the game (and buy it of course!) here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/263860/

In Anomaly: Warzone Earth Baghdad and Tokyo are taken from wreckage of an alien spaceship. To the fragments are anomalies in which sprout from the ground turrets.
Instead of setting up defense lines for incoming crawler, you are the forces that must survive the gauntlet. The aliens have many different weapons with countless strengths and weaknesses, so that survival depends on your ability to get around (and out-think) these alien cutthroat.

Your convoy is does the damage, but you're down there frantically trying to keep it alive. You run around on foot to scout ahead, distract enemy turrets, and deploy weapons power-ups to keep them safe.
Additionally, you can bring up a tactical map screen at any point to adjust the travel route of your convoy on the fly or scope out the action ahead to concoct an battle plan.
Whatever route you end up with, it is inevitably littered with various types of enemy towers, each with different types of attacks, Planning or changing routes (enemy actions will often disrupt your carefully plotted strategy) is as simple as toggling directional arrows at each intersection through the available options by clicking on them.

There are a lot of strategic flexibility as you choose in most missions, deck out your convoy. A mixture of tanks, armored personnel carriers, missile launching robots, drones shield generator and other special vehicles can be purchased and upgraded. Another subtle balancing act that you, in your capacity as commander, you have to deal with is the decision between choosing the safest route or the most lucrative.
Anomaly can be very challenging on the "normal" difficult, even for experienced strategy players. They are found again from a checkpoint rather often in the later missions.

Anomaly: Warzone Earth even more exciting. It's surprising how much of a difference a few simple tweaks can make toward revitalizing a genre that has long grown stale for some players. For the price, Anomaly: Warzone Earth offers a fresh and exhilaratingly fun strategy experience that only few titles can match.

Score: 77 / 100

For the price, Anomaly: Warzone Earth offers a fresh and exhilaratingly fun strategy experience that only few titles can match. The graphics are smooth and exciting, the action is hectic and well-balanced, and the gameplay is truly like nothing else I've ever seen before.Despite the hazardous save system, Anomaly: Warzone Earth presents a fresh take on the Tower Defense genre. It's satisfying, but leaves a lingering hunger for a sequel - hopefully with a tighter save system and more units.Complemented with a solid plot and gameplay that finds a steady medium between strategy and action, Anomaly is a clever game that is sure to draw in tower defense fans.Anomaly is, above all, a very fresh and interesting game, with fun mechanics. It is a modest game which hasn't attracted much attention, but I am sure it will surprise many.If you're interested in strategy games, I highly recommend you pick this one up and keep your eyes on 11 bit studios in the future!

Anomaly: Warzone Earth is a RTS tower offense game? That takes place in a near future.

You are the Commander of the 14th Platoon and it’s your mission to investigate the anomalies that have appeared in some of the major cities in the world, after something crashed on them. As expected of any weird stuff that falls from the sky and breaks all communications within its impact radius, they weren't simple meteorites; Now Earth is in danger, but what lies in the anomaly doesn't seem interested in an invasion. What are they here for? How are you going to fight them? Why the hell do you feel like you’re the one invading a base?

This is what you get when you reverse the roles in a tower defense game. Unfortunately, this turns it into a baby sitting simulator as you follow around a caravan healing it or covering it with aoe heal packets or smoke bombs respectively. The game is slow, offers no engaging gameplay, and the plot appears to be ripped out of a Command and Conquer game, then watered down to avoid copyright infringement.

To be honest, I have never expected a game like that ((Reverse) Tower Defence) to be near as interesting as this one. Graphics, story, performance, level design and the general idea is really great :D At some point, you really want to win the game, you feel like it's your duty! The concept of powerups and the commander running around his units is brilliant, thanks to that the game is never boring (it's sort of a game in a game, you have to play in sort of two seperate dimensions at once).
My advice: If you see this game with ~50% discount, take it :D

This game is a combination of tower-defense action strategy with a somewhat unique tower-offense technique used most of the time. It will not give you many ways to accomplish missions, most of the times the scripted events are so obvious that you will know for sure when an ''anomaly'' hits the short route you decided to take, giving you only the choice to switch to the longer, more risky route.
Despite of these scripted events and a bit of failed voice acting from every character, this is a very good game. It's refreshing an old, almost lost genre.

Pros:
+ Tower defense at its best, plus somethig more
+ Suspanse at every corner, especially on higher difficulties
+ The AI is surprisingly good for an almost indie game
+ Nice and simple leaderboards display, depending on the difficulty you play

Cons:
- Short campaign; tiny fast-paced levels
- Scripted events will become obvious before they even happen, after 1h of gameplay
- The buy/sell/upgrade function is simple. Could've been added something more.

Another view to "tower defence" games - you should destroy towers instead of building them.
And it really cool for me as tower defence fan :)

Great reverse tower defense. Bash all those bullcrap towers 'till your hearts content. Not fun enough, upgrade the ♥♥♥♥ out of your units, use the motherfreakin' shield and change your squad's position on the fly. What the heck is not fun here?

Played only 2 missions and from my experience, it was just amazing. The story is quite interesting and makes me want to know more about how and why. The graphics on this game is outstanding. I really don't know what to say, but if you're looking to try this game, don't wait. You gotta get it. ;o

Anomaly: Warzzone Earth is a TowerOffense game. In this game you are the one destryong the towers. It has great visuals, fantastic fire and explosion effects. There are six types of units and ten towers. It gets tougher as you progress. It requires a lot of thinking, using te wrong ability at the wrong time can spoil the whole level. The abilities provide different ways to encounter enemies. The units have their own weaknesses. You can choose which route to take providing different ways to do the same level. The background is pretty. Overall it is a great game but with low replay value. It has a different and interesting genre. It also has two unlockable level types (i dont know how to unlock it) and some bonus missions.
