The biggest regret ever in buying this game. Not worth it, doesn't even start for me anymore. Definatelly do not recommend wasting your money on this.

Game very good except car mechanic and pyhsics. Good story,characters,CARS etc. I rate it 5/7

Need to manuall start game from file folder. Gg low memory problem. 10/10. Would go discount crazy again. But hey. You can always go bowling. Or getting rekted from the space time contuniumm by driving to a swingset.

I will now do my best to compare GTA 4 with GTA 5.
Keep in mind, GTA 4 is a 2008 game, meanwhile GTA 5 is a 2013 AAA title.

Hand-To-Hand combat/Melee fighting - GTA 4
Shooting - GTA 4
Weapon Variety - GTA 5
Physics - GTA 4
Multiplayer - GTA 4 is PURE freeroam, GTA 5, not so.
Exploration - GTA 4
Vehicle Handling - GTA 4
Helicopters/Planes - GTA 4
Explosions - GTA 4
Water splashing, looks - GTA 4
Buildings - GTA 4
Story - GTA 4 (GTA 5's story was good aswell, but I found GTA 4's more interesting)
Companions/Friends - GTA 4 ( you can even hang out with them. GTA 5 - N/A)
Dating - GTA 4 (gimmicky, but still a feature GTA 5 doesn't have)
Reactions - GTA 4 (If you point a weapon at someone driving a car, they will put their hands up and get out of it, meanwhile in GTA 5 they will just run away)
Interaction - GTA 4 (standing near someone in GTA 5 will start a fight, not even to mention, cops will start shooting at you if you even stay still for a few seconds near them.)
Parkour - GTA 4 (you can even climb on ledges and get on top of buildings that way, something GTA 5 lacked.)
Graphics - GTA 5

And more. Even though I've spent over a hundred hours on GTA 5, those 65 hrs on GTA 4 were much more enjoyable. Give this game a try. If you're a fan of GTA 5, or the other titles, I think you will enjoy this game.

{{Short version: There are hoops to jump through at first, but GTA IV is worth the money and the 10-15 minutes it takes to set the game up to play.}}

I write this review understanding that this isn't a brand new game, and as such, this review is for people who, like me, are buying this game waaaay after it's prime. Why am I writing this review? Because I nearly found myself dissuaded out of a perfectly good game by reviews that targeted easily bypassed issues.

Now, I'd like to begin this by saying that no matter what platform you play it on, GTA IV is still a good game, and a fun entry to the GTA series. A lot of the other reviews for this game note that there's difficulty getting this game to work on PC, and, I won't lie, it's true; there are some hoops to jump through to get this game working. These reviews, however, vastly overstate the difficulty of playing this game, and as such, advise against it's purchase, but don't heed these reviews, the process of getting this game to work takes 10 minutes, 15 tops. Combined with the time it takes to download in the first place, this is totally negligible.

Down to it:
There are two main barriers to pass before enjoying going bowling with your virtual cousin, Games for WIndows Live, and Social Club, both of which can be gotten around very easily. In the effort to not make this review a tutorial, I will simply say that there exist plenty of dedicated tutorials on the web, especially on support forums and the like.

At the end of the day, what you get is a great GTA game, with all of GTA's signature crazy storytelling. I've heard tell that there's a way to still access multiplayer too, and there are plenty of people who have done this. It's the same story here, you have to put a little work in, but then you have a perfectly good game.

great game, but couldent play it. the rockstar social club wont let you login even though i know the password and login are inputted correctly and i can go online through the website. be carefull when purchasing this game. Rockstar doesnt care about its customers and it if the game doesnt work your stuck with a broken game.
