About This Game

The Napoleonic era was a time of political unrest and epic battles played out on an unprecedented scale. It revolutionized the organization and size of European armies through the use of levée en masse (mass conscription.) But the strength of an army finds its roots within every soldier's individual skills.

Napoleon: Total War Imperial Edition on Steam includes the exclusive "Heroes of the Napoleonic Wars" pack. This pack gathers the most superb infantry and cavalrymen who fought during the great Napoleonic battles: 10 exclusive units, which will all make a difference during key engagements, whether using formidable weapons or exceptional tactical skills.

These exclusive elite units become available on the campaign map once you have made a specific technological advancement or own the relevant territory.

The following elite units are included as part of the Napoleon: Total War Imperial Edition on Steam. These elite units will appear in both single and multiplayer game modes.

7th Lancers (France) — These cavalrymen are armed with lances that make them particularly deadly when charging. The lance allows the user to put all his weight, and that of his charging horse, behind one very sharp point.

Brandenburg Uhlans (Prussia) — They are some of the most experienced cavalrymen in Europe and can persuade their steeds into breathtaking acts of speed.

1st Hussars (Austria) — The 1st Hussars are, without exception, superb horsemen, and all have a certain independence of spirit that makes them ideal for chasing down widely scattered men.

15th Hussars (Great Britain) — The 15th Hussars are made up of veteran cavalrymen, deadly in close combat and at the charge. Their speed makes them ideal for chasing down skirmishers and for dealing with artillery units.

1st East Prussian Grenadier Battalion (Prussia) — Only the largest, bravest men can become grenadiers; this size and strength makes them an impressive sight in a charge, and gives them an edge in melee.

6th Regiment d'Infanterie Légère (France) — Historically, the 6th Regiment saw action in over forty battles during the Napoleonic Wars and were awarded seven battle honours for their achievements.

17th Jäger Regiment (Russia) — Able to fight in loose skirmish formation or fire a massed volley when organised in line, the Jägers are an adaptable response to enemy tactics.

1st Regiment Emperor's Own (Austria) — The 1st Regiment “Emperor’s Own” is made up of battle-hardened Czech troops, as deadly with their bayonets as they are excellent marksmen.

18th Regiment d'Infanterie de Ligne "The Brave" (France) — The 18th Regiment are revered by their fellow countrymen, who know them as "The Brave." They are experienced soldiers and that makes them valuable on the battlefield.

Moscow Musketeers (Russia) — Formed into a disciplined line, they can unleash a massed volley into an enemy then, while the enemy is reeling, follow it with a decisive bayonet charge.

i must say this game have potential but its not completed cause too many freaky bugs and clitches, your soldier will just stand on ground for like 100 ft and doing nth when the french cav is charging coming to you, i gave this game too many chances and im going to delete it right after i posted this review, and bury this into the deep cave of steam library, im not gonna play this, actually i think empire tw is better than this, but until ETW 2, dont waste your money

My biggest regert to buy this game and spend my time playing it I did not enjoyed it that much compare to Empire total war,

I did not liked the fact allies stab your back when you at war with common enemy or just declare war on you the way that doesn't make a sense at all but I did enjoy the system that you can subject a factions you destroy or even creating new once,

The last biggest thing I hate was a silly main genrals system if they die they can come back to life which is so silly as hell I killed a French emperor 12 times he just kept on coming back to life

Also I do not like the fact that map only based on Eyroup come on at that time when I bought that game it did not derserve that much money when it only included Eyroup with less contents from empire total war

Do not buy this game if you like empire total war episode

One of the best Total War game, but the campaigns are really short. You will not really find a "Grand Campaign" that lasts forever.

I got this game, I have not played it very much, but I do have one story for you. Gather round children.

I though, "Yeah, I've studied the Napoleonic wars, I'll be good at this game!" so I hopped on multiplayer.

At first I thought I would be good.

I lost all of my Cavalry and most of my Infantry within fifteen minutes. The only reason I was still alive was because of my artillery.

Then I realized something: I was going to be Wellington. I was going to recover and route all of his infantry.

With the rest of my Line infantry, I ran, leading them into my artillery on a hill. With a combination of cannister shot and Volleys, they were breaking. Then, his cav charged and killed most of my infantry.

But I have forgotten about three units.
Three units that I had moved into the trees at the start of the round and forgotten about.
My rifles.

I quickly moved my rifles into position. They quickly killed many of his militia, causing a route. His cav tried killing them, buy my riflemen were not fazed. They killed almost all of the cav as they charged. When they met my brave riflemen, we lost one man. His cav was dead by my brave riflemen.

Then, in a last ditch effort, he sent in his Grenadiers. His elite infantry against my rifles. They outnumbered them, and they were stronger.

But my Brave riflemen did not run. They fired on them from afar, then, without giving the grenadiers a chance to recover, the brave riflemen, who were full with energy, charged against the tire, wavering grenadiers.

My brave riflemen killed all of the Grenadiers.

The brave riflemen, the last men on the battlefield, the only men to have not routed or died, had won the battle.

Heroic Victory.

10/10, would forget about riflemen then say ♥♥♥♥ it and charge again.

Amazing game if you like the Total War Franchise and strategic games, I always play as England, France or Spain and destroy everything in my path, I always do this when I'm playing the campaign and always get the militia units, I never get the hardcore amazing OP units, Maybe 2 grenediers and one Guard unit to protect my general, I always do the realistic stuff with this game! It's quite fun doing the hardcore stuff though.

This is probably the best Napoleonic Strategic game out there in the whole world, I absalutely love it!

- Very Good Optimisation
- A lot of options / setting to configure
- Realistic Napoleonic Wars Formations
- Real time battles, Such as water loo battle and lots of realistic campaigns that Napoleon, France, Austria & Spain did!

I see no downside to buying this game, It's awesome! Probably the best Total War Game (my opinion)

Vive la france as the french would say it Napoleon is the 6th Total War game and is fun if you want to change history around aka break time completely theres barely any mp lobbys open but if you are like me get a few buddys that have this game and there you go 10/10

P.S if you really find this easy get DarthMod and if you don't like napoleon's era then get The Great War as that mod is fun

Some say this is the Total War series at it's finest; I can see why. I personally miss the the scope, the variety and the general feeling of awe and wonder that its almost identical predecessor (Empire) offered, although I like the fact that this version makes up for it all with better mechanics and more focused gameplay.

A great stratagy game and historical setting. Was very pleased with the World Domination Campain, though the time limit for "Victory" or "Defeat" seemed a little pointless because you can keep playin after the set year it "ends".

Mechanics are beutiful, easy to pick up and figure out - and leaves a lot to the stratagy side. Balancing range of weapons, moral, weather, hills or obstructions.

A very detailed and well loved game.
