Good game, kind of buggy, still, with patches (and the DLC) the game offers an easy to understand hard to master turn based system, well balenced and fun.

Pros;
Replayability
Easy to pick up, hard to drop.
Good music and graphics.
Comes with modding software

Cons;
Buggy
Some nations are amazingly better than others, (For example, England on a land map VS Russia.)
Only difficulty increase is how much gold/tech/units the AI gets at the start of the game compared to you, so is quite easy.

A fantastic game, with a massive amount of replay value. Be warned, this game is highly addictive.
One great feature of the tile-set maps is that each game is unique, while most modern RTS games have a limited number of maps that are always the same each time you play them. Lots of variation in gameplay, lots of different ways to win, lots of ways to crush your enemies and dominate the world under your benevolently iron-fisted rule.
10/10 Would Keshik/Khan rush everybody again.

this is like the most addicting game ever in the first day i bought i played it for like 11 hours straight. The one more turn mentality aspect of the game wil make you play it for hours on end. Some of the only gripes i have about this game is the few dipolmacy options and the ai is kinda dumb. But that dosent make the game a bad game at all my score for this game is probally a 8.5/10 nearly flawless game and its a must buy for anyone who is a fan of stragey games or if you want to get into the strategy gaming genre this is your deffentliy your game :)

Things I learned very quickly in my first game:
1) Luxury Resources are very important
2) Rush the Great Library
3) Beware of Gandhi
4) When you sit down to play for "just an hour," that actually means 12 hours and several Mountain Dews

i like the part when Americans built the great wall around new york and washington.
I like the part when Impis(Zulu warriors) 1v1 destroyed a Giant death robot.
I like the part when you can research internet before researching computers.
I like the part when you found out how to build a tank after exploring an ANCIENT ruin.
I like the part when my stealth bomber died from attacking an enemy worker.
I like the part when I cannot build a plantation unless I research the technology named CALANDAR.
I like the part when my workers build the pyramid under water when there's no room on land.
I like the part when Russia started the religion named confucianism.
I like the part when helicoptors become ships when they cross water.
I like the part when Ghandi the Terrible nukes everyone in order to give peace to the world.

Sleep-destroyer...

If I don't have at least 10 hours in front of me I don't start Civ V.

Technically I Can save and reload whenever I want.

But in reality, I can't stop. Game is that good.

My favorite Civilization to date. Hex tiles and no stacking makes combat fun and more tactical. The new systems work incredibly well without altering what makes the game Civilization. Civ V is an excellent game.

every time i try to describe this game it comes off like one of those goofy joke games that kids in cartoons talk about

"oh yeah and you can play as george washington and get the manifest destiny bonus to expand your territory rapidly while you fight with genghis khan over resources"

i think that's how i know this is a good game

I've been an avid Civ IV and Civ V player for years. I thoroughly enjoy the complexity and difficulty of the game. I can't seem to get past the King level but I continue to learn and grow.

Some believe that the world started from an explosion. If an explosion were able to transform something amazing, i'd throw a bomb at my house to transform it into a mansion

Do you know what this means???

We were wrong about ghandi all along!!

When he nukes us, he actually wants us to become even greater! This changes everything.

10/10 would let a city throw rocks at my stealth bomber and die again.
