New in Hyperion - "Donate Game Time" explained

What is Donate Time?

"Donate Game Time" is an easy way to use PLEX to instantly gift 30 days of game time to another character (more information about PLEX can be found in the Knowledgebase article about PLEX

How to use "Donate Game Time"

To use the "Donate Game Time" feature you need to have at least one PLEX available in your inventory.

Check out the animation below for a visual guide and read on for more details.

Simply right-click on the PLEX icon and then choose the "Activate PLEX" option from the popup menu. This will open a new window which shows several services available.

At the bottom of this window you will see the "Donate 30 days of game time" option. In the text field, type the name of the character you would like to donate the game time to.

As you type the character name, you will see a list populate with character names that match the text you have entered. Once their name appears, click on the character you would like to donate the game time to.

Once you have selected a character, the Donate button to the right will become clickable. Click the Donate button to start donating the game time.

The Donate button switches to a teal colored Confirm button.

You have 5 seconds to confirm your decision by clicking the button. Afterwards the Confirm button turns back to the Donate button and you will have to re-confirm your choice.

If you have selected the wrong character, you simply can remove the character by clicking the little white X in the text field.

Why use Donate Game Time?

With Donate Game Time you can give game time directly to your friends or to your own alt accounts without going through the process of transferring PLEX to another character, who would then have to actively use that PLEX themselves. It is also a very simple way to activate inactive accounts.

Donate Game Time saves you and the receiving character some time as you transfer the benefits from using PLEX instantly.

Donate Game Time to inactive and trial accounts

If the receiving character resides on an inactive account, the Donate Game Time feature will activate that account and 30 days of game time will be added.

If the receiving character is a trial account, the Donate Game Time feature will convert that account to a full subscribing account and adds 30 days of game time to that account. All trial account restrictions will be lifted.

Donate Game Time and the Buddy Program

If trial accounts invited via the Buddy Program are converted to fully subscribed accounts via the Donate Game Time feature, then the Buddy inviter will receive a reward just as if the trial account owner would have used a PLEX to upgrade the account.

More information about the Buddy Program can be found on the EVE Online Account Management

EVE Online is one of those MMO's that will go down amongst gaming history as one of the greats. EVE just might be the deepest, most sophisticated game I'v ever played. Starting out it's a lot to take in and can be slow to get your bearings, but once you get going it becomes one of the greatest experiences in gaming. EVE is not for the lite hearted MMO players and should be avoided if you've never played one. This is a game that requires more commitment than even several other MMO's combined.

In your usual run of the mill MMO's, give it like a month or two and you've pretty much peaked. You'll find yourself doing redundant daily instances or tasks, maybe some dull PvP and that's it. EVE Online is a multi year commitment. Don't fret though, EVE can and will be casual at most times. You will spend a lot of time basking in the incredibly gorgeous, massive universe that is EVE Online. You will mine, trade, bounty hunt, explore, hack, lead, invest, manage, manufacture, salvage, pirate, scout, and much more. EVE Online also has one of the greatest, if not THE greatest player run economies. It's one the easiest games to become self sustaining, essentially becoming free.

The truth is, I'v only ever scratched the surface of this behemoth. Yet despite that, If I were to continue this review I'd be here all day typing away and I believe short, to the point reviews are best. If you fancy a gorgeous, truly massive, relaxing worlds in space that is full of possibilites, there is non other deserving of your attention than EVE Online. 91/100

In EVE you can be anyone and anything. I chose to be a not player of EVE and I have succeeded, but not without a struggle to not want to get around the learning curve. Thank you for that opportunity to not play you for ever and ever.

The ultimate space MMO. Not for the faint hearted as this game has a steep learning curve, do not play this game if you don't like to lose. It's Sins Of A Solar Empire on crack. So many ways to pay in a huge universe. The game becomes ten times better once you find yourself a solid team. Teamspeak is essential.

Internet spaceships, check. Galactic sandbox MMO, check. Pirates and exotic dancers, check. Wanton, relentless explosions, check.

This game is amazing. :guristas:
It has one helluva learning curve, but there is a pretty decent tutorial and an endless supply of resources to figure out what you're doing and who you shouldn't be doing it with. Everything from good guy missions, pirates, asteroid mining, running the player-based economy, to fueling it with industry or salvage. You can also pay for the subscription with in-game currency. Win/win!

3 days and within that 3days I have 24 hours played. I feel EvE is the kind of game that you go to when you want to sink your time away down a deep dark path and before you know it you've slipped into a gaming coma and you're 60 and spent the past 39 years of your life playing it.

The game is fun. The issue is understand just how to play it. You can roam about of your own accord doing missions however it's when you get into a Corp and begin listening to them tell you to equip this and do this that you begin to understand you'd need to sit for 10 hours learning the insides and outsides of these things to even get a glimpse into what EvE has to offer.

Overall this game is fun. I personally do not have to time to learn a new MMO. HOWEVER I think if you're looking for a new MMO to play and you're a experienced seasoned MMO player that is willing to put the time and effort into EvE you can conquer entire regions and make billions upon billions of ISK.

TLDR; got 39 years to spare? Then what are you waiting for!

Welcome to spreadsheet simulator, the game.

EVE Online is a rather daunting MMO, because unlike games like World of Warcraft and Star Wars: The Old Republic, EVE is an unscripted world, making players the only source of drive for the game. Personally, I think it's brilliant, because it leaves a feeling of randomness and uncertainty to the game, and outside of a few hours of training missions, it can be truly exciting to play.

In EVE, you have the option of filling a diverse number of roles, whether you want to trade, fight, act as private security for other groups, or any number of other roles, keeping character creation feeling fresh and interesting.

If playing games like WoW has bored you out from the same old grind to 80 (or whatever the cap is now), fetch quests, and just plain old scripting, get ready for hundreds of hours of MORE fetch quests, tutorials, and more!

Wait, no... It's an exciting world, even if it's a slow start, but highly suggested to those with the patience to experience what is one of the best MMOs on the market

Agree with everyone else. DON'T BUY ON STEAM, buy the real deal from the real website. It may look like you're paying more, but you're not. It works out in the end, you'll just have to trust me. Really, you do not want a Steam-EVE account.

Otherwise, it's a good game, and in my opinion the only MMO that's not a user-hostile skinner box with WoW-cloned combat and quests. Very refreshing. The "evil scammer sociopath" community is over dramatized. Yes there are some people like that and you should be on your guard, but the overall community of the game is rich and rewarding.

EvE online, is a game about....it's well....Everything.

You get to decide what to be in this game, a pirate, a miner, trader, scammer, You and every player in this game controlls the economy and everything that happens in this game from HUGE battles to Items getting expensive is controlled by players, it's a really big galaxy to explore, the only couple of things that i don't like in this game, is the grinding and the monthly fee, now i kind of know why there should be alot of grinding in this game, there's over 45k players playing this game daily, and if every one is going to have titans then we have a problem, but i really think they should reduce the 15$ monthly fee, i don't feel like paying 15$ to only play 1 game online is fair, but the game is super addicting.

I give this game a....90% free bulls*** because of the monthly fee.

EVE is life.

Just get past the learning curve, and this game will be your bff. It does take awhile to get into some of the T2 and T3 ships but its totally worth it.

Absolutely love this MMO.

Honestly not subscribed to it at the moment, beause its so vast and interactive you really need a friend, or group, or guild to play it with. Im down though if you want to play it! Please? Who ever you are.
