Acerca do Jogo

Fate of the World is a dramatic global strategy game that puts all our futures in your hands. The game features a dramatic set of scenarios based on the latest science covering the next two centuries. Will you help the whole planet or will you be an agent of destruction?

Fate of the World is brought to you by the award-winning Red Redemption games team and Battlestations: Midway Producer Klaude Thomas with climate science by Dr. Myles Allen (University of Oxford), writing by David Bishop (Dr. Who, 2000AD) and music composed by Richard Jacques (Mass Effect, Alice in Wonderland) with game design by veteran game designer Matthew Miles Griffiths (Conflict: Desert Storm, Battlestations: Midway).

This is one of the most depressing games I've ever played, but it's definitely worth the buy! It's very fair and realistic, with more data than you will know what to do with. Use it correctly, save the world- but take something for granted and you've led on a nuclear war! Once you get past the tutorial, it only gets more interesting. Good luck!

I just saved Africa from a total collapse and now I feel great.

What more could I ask from a videogame?

Original, complex insight into the problems of global climate change. The gameplay is rather difficult, but it still manages to generate the addictive "just-one-more-turn" syndrome. Worth trying if you're interested in games tackling real-life issues.

Fate of the World is a pretty interesting simultator, pitting the player as dictator of the world, with a clear agenda to save it. It has a lot of interesting strategic choices and trade offs. Pretty cool. It must be noted though that its pretty much an environmentalists wet dream. Which sadly explains why its has completely skipped implementing the nuclear options which are means through which we can power humanitys future.

Thorium, a technology from the 1970's which lost out to uranium based nuclear designs, since it cannot produce weapons, is amazing beyond belief, which is why many countries, most notably China and India, are putting a lot of effort into it. Clean, cheap, no noticable waste and infinite amounts of fuel... Why oh why was that no included in the game? Well... It would make it trivially easy, and it doesnt fit the hippie agenda.
