Ok, lets get started. (WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD)

Pros: Almost no hackers in multiplayer.
Single player has a good enough story.
It's at least better than infinite warfare.
It has close-to-realistic physics.

Cons: The sniper rifles do not kill within one hit in multiplayer. I have hit people in the head and they dont die.
In singleplayer, you are almost always spotted in the stealth missions. Especially in "All Ghillied Up".
Annoying teams where the enemy sets all their C4 in a corner.
Almost all maps are made like they are for the sniper. I swear, every corner you go to, there is a camping sniper with the M21 ready to hip fire and spray your a$$.
That one guy on your team that flashes you untill you die. (Im talking about that perk that lets you have multiple grenades)

Ok, there may be more cons than pros, but somehow, the game is still good and addicting.

Mw 1 and Mw2 are classics, but Mw 1 is better because of the Dedicated servers and it has a big player base still! As old as the game is, I still recommend it to everyone. Its the one and only cod that is playable still :) <3

In my opinion, it has the best multiplayer out of all the call of duty games, and the campaign is the 2nd best, behind black ops (again, my opinion).

For me CoD4 is an icon of what realistic FPS should be. Furthermore, this part is one of the best in the whole Call of Duty series. And it’s the only game which brought me so many memories.

Singleplayer
  • Good story
  • Many various locations
  • Nice graphics
  • Multiform missions
  • Well thought-out difficulty system

Multiplayer
  • Tons of exciting modifications and maps
  • Ability to create something new
  • Much fun on dedicated servers

But the main proof of its success – after 9 years game is still enjoyable for many. I highly recommend it for all.

Countless custom maps, mods, game modes, and tons of active servers. The only real "Call of Duty" title, in my opinion. Definitely worth a buy when it's on sale. The PC version has corner-leaning, enhanced visuals (still look decent enough today), dedicated servers, mod support, console-commands (some awesome cheats), and all the other little things we like to see in a proper PC version. This game needs a resugence.

♥♥♥♥ the remake. Not worth the purchase of IW, even if it were free.

This is the best place for people new to Call of Duty.

Call of Duty 4 is a near flawless game that executes most of it's idea's well. It's shooting mechanics are still a stable of the series.

The campaign mode has a great story and characters (with a message relevent to the Afgan war that was happening at the same time).

Multiplayer is fun, simple, and only has a few annoying quirks (like grenade spam and overpowered weapons).

This game still is alive on PC (and you only need to download a quick hotfix for multiplayer).

I give Call of Duty 4 an 8/10
