"The alternative to the blockbuster Company of Heroes, the 'East' Variant of the two. More emphasis on realism and personal micro-management. Amazing."

-----------This is my review account, because the low playtime.
Graphics:
+ varied environments
+ handsome effects
- lousy face textures
- ugly scenes
- low visibility

Atmosphere:
+ authentic, flashy battles
+ destructible environments
+ physics effects
- cutscenes hardly produce mood

Sound:
+ realistic exchange of fire
+ terrible English speakers
- soundtrack virtually non-existent

Balance:
+ game play can be slow down
+ adjustable difficulty levels
- but already very difficult to "easily"
- not a tutorial

Mission Design:
+ mass slaughter and commando operations
+ many script sequences
+ many tactics possible
- big battles often confusing

AI:
+ enemies credible ...
+ and go on the higher difficulty levels remain very clever
- own soldiers sometimes too independent

Units:
+ many kinds of infantry
+ every soldier with its own fixture
+ vehicles with multiple target areas

Campaign:
+ three campaigns
+ successful co-op for four players
- generally weak presentation

Game Size:
+ solo playtime around 20 hours
+ 19 long missions for all three warring parties
+ good multiplayer modes
- low replay value

Multiplayer: good
+ multiplayer playtime around 40 hours
+ sophisticated multiplayer battles for connoisseurs and experts. Beginners practice in the solo campaign.

Although the Second World War as a scenario more annoying than motivated, I have to make an exception for Men of War. The real-time strategy game in the wake of Faces of War and Soldiers: Heroes of World War II boasts long missions with lots of variety, intense battles and a realism factor that is unique compared to other games in vain. The price is a crisp difficulty, hardly forgive tactical error and the index is in the hectic battles such a thing - fortunately are your soldiers to survive independently in the situation. But the "Hurrah" experience after successfully completing a mission here is more intense, sometimes you will be happy even to have cracked a thick armor without losses.
Who it has little tactical experience, should first take a look at the demo.

Score: 77 / 100

this game is amzaing, but the voice acting is....... IS THE BEST THING EVAR. I MEAN IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY HIRED REAL RUSSIANS AND GERMANS TO VOICE ACT THE TROOPS, AND IT TOTALLY DOSEN'T SOUND LIKE A CHEAP AMERICAN ACTOR TRYING TO SOUND RUSSIAN.

A little glitchy, but I enjoyed this MORE than Company of Heroes 2. More varied missions, more varied tactics. more depth. I hope the sequels hold up.

I find Men of War to be the best in the series, I find it a big step up from faces of war, and I actually feel it's better than the newer Assault Squad games.
it has a story albeit its read by someone who sounds like a history teacher, and some of the voice acting is pretty laughable, but this game has realistic physics, and a great ballistic system making tank, and gun duels to be very exciting, and stressful! Watching your tank rounds pinging off of a Panzer's armor is pretty scary, and Angles and armor thickness play a part in it too. I love that ♥♥♥♥.
The difficulty, well...this series is known for it's difficulty and long missions, and I can easily say this is one of the hardest strategy games of the Real Time non base building type, the AI is exciting to play agaisnt.
The graphics are not the best, but with some of the newer features on graphics cards, this game can be forced to look very nice,
very advanced controls (you can even control your units like a shooter) and a fast (but scalable) pace

An incredibly underrated game, from an awesome series.
Many compare it to COH but Men of War deserves some credit in the fact that they cover a wide range of weapons, units, and vehicles, with a much more advanced ballistic system, and a much more advanced control scheme,
they also cover missions and scenarios not seen in other game along with it's varied objectives that bounce you back and forth across the map it makes for a pretty exciting game.
Much more than your average skirmish the computer war game

8/10 mostly because of the voice acting other than that it is good,

I have invested over forty hours into this game and I haven't even finished the German or Us campaign yet. It has amazing replayability and the multiplayer was awesome before it was shut down. It is an amazing realism based game that has almost endlees replayability. I can't recomend this enough to any RTS loving gamer.

Fantastic! Being a fan of Hidden & Dangerious 2, Operation Flashpoint 1 - this title deserves a go. A RTS WW2 game that allows you to control individual units with 3rd person shooting.

- Captured enemy war base using only a knife

- Saw Sasha Kovlevski speaking in perfect english

- Destroyed a King Tiger with a molotov

- Threw a knife through Halftrack's armor and killed it's driver

- Spawned myself a tank in editor and enjoyed rolling through hordes of little enemy cars.

- Killed a Nazi and wore his hat

11/10 would kill Nazis for hats again

I'm a big "offline" gamer, meaning I don't typically play games for the multiplayer, so this review is based on the offline features. The campaign 8/10, story is cool, missions are awesome, the option to play 3 campaigns, incredible, the diversity from one mission to the next? Outstanding. Unlike COH2 where all you do is defend objectives, or wipe out enemy strongholds, which gets old, you have a different scenario on your hands every mission. Level editor? 10/10 Love it! I spend most of my time in the editor! It allows you to create any kind of battle you'd like! Want to defend an airfield? Boom! There you go! (With a little help from youtube this should be quite simple to figure out) Want to assault a German fortress? Build it, then blow it! Want to create a chaotic battle between every faction in the game? Spawn the units, start the editor, and there you have it! And last but not least the skirmish capabilities! 0/10 There aren't any. If you want to battle an A.I. you'll have to play Level Editor. Final Grade: 6.5/10 (Just so you know if it says I have no play time on this game, it's because it doesn't record the time you play while disconnected from the internet.)

Excellent WWII simulator, with unparalled strategic combat. You can command a single soldier, and loot the battlefield, or platoons and parade them into the storm. Create the ultimate defenses by creating walls of sandbags and camoflauging artillery along roads. If you enjoy historic, strategy, WWII or just destroying your friends in game, then pick up a copy of this game, I got it on sale, but it's indefinately worth 10.00$. Because servers are down, directly connecting to friends is the only way to play multiplayer, but even if your friends don't own a copy I'm always up to play.
Come; fight with or against me.

OH YES, CoH eat your heart out! If you love WWII strategy, this series of games is AWESOME. The learning curve is very high, and it can be a bit much to micro-manage at times, but if you get the hang of it OH MAN it is good. Worth the effort to get into this game. Graphically medicore, but destruction is incredible and the depth of play is phenomenal as well. Very satisfying game! Highly recommended for any strategy player!
