I play this game to unwind and destress after a long day. Love the variety of modes in Bejeweled 3 as well as the great soundtrack which sets the mood perfectly. Recommended if you enjoy match 3 type games or if you play Zen mode like I do, it's a great way to cool off after getting fragged by noobs or russians in counter strike.

It's a game. At the most basic, fundamental level, it provides entertainment and tasks the player with a relatively simple goal. If I were to rate it on its own merits, it'd be a 9/10. Really though, unless match 3 is your jam, this game doesn't offer much apart from simple entertainment.

Really enjoy playing Bejeweled, so I purchased Bejeweled 3, and really like the music. Great to come home after a long day and go into Zen, and play to settle mind, and relax. I would totally say to pick it up!

Great fun, easy to get into with enough range to take skill to be really good at. Lots of modes for variety and engaging execution make this a casual game worth going back to every now and then.

I just wish there was a setting to go fullscreen to fill the entire widescreen monitor and have black bars in order to not have the aspect ratio distorted, which I find aesthetically ugly and a major injustice to a great game. I shouldn't have to pick my poison between playing in a window not covering my entire monitor or playing the game in a distorted aspect ratio. The game was made to be natively 4:3, and most (if not all) modern monitors are 16:9. The aesthetic imbalance from a distorted aspect ratio is unpleasant.

Classic, yet enjoyable. A matching game that you expect from a Bejeweled series (considering thata you ever played them). While it might be a bit flasy, its graphics are far less hurtful to the eyes than those with similar genre. Can't say much about the BGM (blame VLC Player), but the sound effect is an OK.

Whether you wanted a simple challenge or maybe just a :casual game: to ease your mind - this game does its job nicely too.

Did I mention it's DRM-FREE? (Can be executed/played directly without Steam running)
The downside is that if you do run this game without Steam running, your playtime will NOT be recorded.

Bejeweled 3 is what they call a 'match 3' game, meaning you need to combine three or more of the same items on the game board, which then disappear, to score points. In this case those items are jewels that come in 7 different colors.

You decide how complex you want this basic principle to become by selecting one of the 8 game modes. Some modes are very casual, like 'classic', 'poker' and 'zen'. Others are more intense because they add a timer of some sort to the game board. There is also a 'quest mode' in which you will play all of the game modes in some form, easy versions at first and more difficult with each level. You don't need to finish all of the games of one level in order to play games from the next level, so if there are one or two game modes you don't like, it's no problem to just skip those each time and progress to the next level anyway.

In each mode, the game will explain clearly what the objective is and what the specific 'twists' for that game mode are.

The background music is quite nice but you can switch it off through the Options menu if you want.

There are a lot of Steam Achievements to be had, which adds even more challenges. Some achievements are built up to by simply playing the game, others are specific goals to be reached in one or more of the game modes.

I recommend giving Bejeweled 3 a try if you're at least a bit into puzzle games, and even more so if you can get it on sale.

Bejeweled 3 is an addictive, match 3 game from PopCap. At its core, Bejeweled is about matching 3 or more gems of the same type. It's this simplicity that helps make it so appealing to casual players while its different play modes, steam leaderboard and acheivements entices more seasoned players. The game has attractive graphics and effective, dynamic music that increases in intensity as your chain matches. Combining randomly generated gem layouts, 8 different play modes, and a leaderboard to compare scores with your steam friends; Bejeweled 3 will have you coming back again and again.

I have 800 games in my Steam library and yet I'm still taking time to play Bejeweled? What's wrong with me?

Kidding aside, this sequel includes some new modes that keep the game fresh and provide surprising depth. The modes aren't just new skins or cosmetic differences; the strategies needed to succeed in them vary quite a bit, increasing replayability and preventing the game from becoming monotonous. If you're looking for a simple, casual puzzle game to pass the time, I don't think you can go wrong here.

Match-3 puzzle games are kind of my guilty pleasure in gaming. Games like Bejeweled are really great games to play when you need a break from that unbelievably frustrating mission in whatever other game you're playing at the time. There's a plethora of game modes that are all equally awesome to play (my favorite are the poker and ice blast game types), and there's even a quest mode of sorts where you can complete challenges. Is it necessarily a game that is going to attract the long-term attention of "hardcore" gamers? Nope, but it's a great game to play on breaks to clear your head if you're getting annoyed by another game!

This game is an absolute gem. Had this on PC for the longest time, finally got myself a copy on Steam.

There is just many things and mod to play. If you feel like you want to relax and just enjoy yourself while thinking and planning ahead before you make your next move, Zen/Poker/Butterfly are the modes for you.

Now if you want something fast pace and challenge yourself with time mode. Lightning/Ice Storm/Diamond Mine is your way to go.

My personal favorite has to be Diamond Mine, fast pace, lot of explosion going off. I saying to myself OMG I was so close to getting to next stage or I could of done so much better after each game, next thing I know I been playing for hours.

This is one of the most -If not the- satisfying and enjoyable match 3 games I have played. The graphics are nice, the music is fitting and doesn't feel too repetitive, the interface is alright, albeit a bit plain, and is responsive as needed. The game plays smoothly and is fun whether you want to relax for a while (Zen level) or try your reflexes and observation skills in the timed levels. A mode with little more time on the clock in the timed levels so as to play a little more "relaxed" in these levels wouldn't hurt but it's enjoyable as it is.
Bundled or not.. it's fine!

Even with 101 games in my Steam library, this game is, by far, the greatest game I own. I was, and still am, flabbergasted at how PopCap Games created this amazing narrative that made me laugh, made me cry, and had me sitting on the edge of my seat all throughout. If you're looking for a casual puzzle game, a heartwarming tale of self discovery, or something to do while watching Netflix at 2 A.M., then Bejeweled 3 is the game for you.
