Reviews

“Two Worlds II: Castle Defense is a well done strategic game, with Tower Defense elements and a good characters design. A nice choice for fans of the genre.”

“It's kind of surprising how good the game actually looks.”
80 – Gamezebo

“But Two Worlds 2: Castle Defense surprised me – in fact, it’s a better game than the “main” titles in the series. This one sits at the top of the pack in its genre, with great action, great presentation and plenty of meat.”

This is the type of game one would find for free on internet gameing websites, like Kongregate or Armour games.
It feels cheap and unfinished, not to mention short on story, levels, and gameplay options
not worth the money

The most fun I had in this game was zooming in indefinitely while on the first match, because when you zoom in too much it starts sliding the camera upwards. I spent a good thirty seconds scrolling up, and eventually the screen was black and the abomination was out of sight. There, I used my imagination, filling in the black space, to pretend I was having fun.
Read this review and you will get the full experience of the game.
You start the game.
Loading screen, music.
Asks for serial code, shift tab, punch it in.
Then, that's when the real fun begins.
It wants your address.
It wants your proxy address.
It wants your postal code.
It wants your E-Mail.
It wants your hat size.
It wants your age.
It wants your phone number.
It wants your first name.
It wants your middle name.
It wants your maiden name.
It wants your last name.
It wants your prefix.
It wants your state.
It wants your country.
It wants your gramma's address.
It hits you in the face within 1 minute of the game launching. Your other option to avoid this? Phone activation. Use your phone to activate your $0.25 game. It costs more to call the slums of India to activate the game you aren't going to play for more than 10 minutes than it costs to purchase it. I only wanted to play this for a few minutes while I waited for Dragon Age: Inquisition to install. Had I gone through with signing my soul to play this game that is on par with any flash game online that can be found by googling "free castle defense game," I could probably have beaten all of Dragon age with the time spent. Maybe you should play that instead.

Oh, by the way, incase you have the misfortune of owning it and haven't played it yet, when it wants all your info, just exit the game and relaunch. Won't ask for the info again. Brilliant developers.

Worst game ever.

The game doesn't explain anything to you, and it's settings are minimal at best, you can't change resolution without restarting the game, and for some reason you need an activation code even after buying the game..

I sold 2 of my 'towers' in this case they are soliders, on accident because the game doesn't tell you what the buttons do, I had it paused at the time so they didn't disappear until after I started it up again.

Don't buy this game, even if it's less than a dollar, it's not worth it..

Simple and short, really no lasting value. 6 units overall, 2 melee, 2 ranged, healer and slower. Place them, upgrade each ones health and attack 5 times, and use the three abilities of your main guy, the one you need to protect. That is it really. There are some resurect and teleport abilities, but they seem pretty useless as I did not need to use them once.

Even counting the "arena" which is the same map 5 times, increasing in difficulty each time, there appears to be only 9 maps overall, even though it seems to suggest at the end that there is more, maybe unfinished? Each map will take you 5-10 mins tops. There is a high score feature that you can upload and see your scores against other players, but it basically asks you to register to do this and I felt uncomfortable putting this in so never completed it.

Feels a lot like a phone or tablet game, even though I can play tower defense games on my phone that keep me busy for weeks, some of them free, all of them cost less than half as much as this.

There is no way in the world you can justify spending the full price on this game, or even on sale. Should have been a little side game that came as part of the package when buying the Two Worlds 2 RPG.

I had a 90% coupon, so I'am not angry, just disappointed.
You don't need much thinking.
Your towers(soldiers) are moving, so you have to teleport them from time to time to keep the troop together.
Yawn!

If there is one bright spot in Two Worlds 2 Castle Defense it is the combat animations, but this game is generally very dull in terms of content and actual strategy. The gameplay pretty much consists of placing troops, leveling them up, and waiting to win. There are a handful of spells to cast, but I rarely had to use them. The short 5 map campaign can be finished in just over an hour. This is one of those games you'll play once and likely never touch again.

I love castle defense games as long as there is some story in them and it is very focused on strategy. This game however, I did not find challenging. I placed my characters, leveled their attributes and fast forwarded. The story is lacking severely from what I've seen without any character connection or goal besides "You're doing this. Do it." I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

Game gets very dull, very quickly, because it doesn't introduce new features at all. Although the little it does, it does it very well , it's a tower defense after all.

Not really all that fun or exciting. Not a lot of depth and it's kind of repetitive.

Nice concept of a tower defense. Shame it only comes with 5 maps (15 to 20 short waves each), which they dare call a campaign! And 5 challanges.... Content wise not worth the full price by far. I had a 90% off coupon, still wondering if I should have bought at that price.

Pretty bad quasi-Tower Defense game. That the graphics are basic at best can be forgiven, but the gameplay is dreadfully bland and boring.
Even if (or maybe especially if) you're a fan of the Two World series, skip this one. There are _far_ better TDs out there in the same price range.

(On a side note, the game also has super-annoying online activation where you have to _type_ in your serial key, because copy&paste is disabled o_O )

A serviceable tower defense game. That's all it is. I got it cheap, so I'm actually pretty happy, but frankly I wouldn't pay nearly twelve bucks for it. Still, not bad to play, with a decent selection of options and graphics and music that aren't terrible. 3/5

It's not bad if you have some spare time you want to kill, I had a 90% off coupon for it so I paid $1.

Not worth $10 though.
