In the first of the six chapters make "use" of a drunken monkey, later drags Brian from moose head to the leg prosthesis sorts of unusual trinkets around with you. As the collectibles can solve problems that often has the expected wow effect. But not always. Especially in the last game thirds accumulate abstruse mystery, which does not have a red thread logic more. On the whole, the adventure in the clarity of its sites and the quantity of the goods remains pleasantly balanced so that sometimes helps too simple trial and error. If you move the mouse over an interesting point, the cursor changes; Right-click to switch between "View" and "interact".
That figures and backgrounds form a credible entity may provide longer wish minutes, but in fact it is the greatest strength of Runaway 2. For the Spaniards of the Pendulo have the currently most magnificent 2D game drawn. Runaway 2 by pulling a stylish safer, more colorful and contrasting comic look, even in the snow twilight of Alaska. Before the partially low detail backgrounds are impressive figures move smoothly and with great variety of movement.
Runaway 2 is a humorous game in the tradition of comic adventures from LucasArts era. The quality of the models is not always achieved, because some jokes seem too contrived. The Science Spinner Joshua, for example, is in the game for tiresome nuisance. Nevertheless, in Runaway 2's good to smile, also due to many swipes - on Indiana Jones, for example, on Adventure standards, but also to games editors, we hereby publicly denounce and condemn. The final chapter served the game as many reflexive running gags that it is a sheer joy. There you will find, for example, on a pirate ship "a chest of useless objects" in it, among other cutlery, ear swabs, air freshener, a pirate brain and a rubber chicken with a wheel in the middle. If you understand that :)
I have not seen such a figure dismantled as Gina: In the adventure it does not matter, their "savior" Brian, meanwhile, makes around with other women. Wasted potential of this game, anyway enough of. Many characters (especially the bad) builds Runaway 2 only in order to forget it then. All logic and much of the comfort of the first half going towards the end flutes. And the open end is no power source, but a disappointment!
So, take a deep breath. I had fun playing? But yes! Because with all the weaknesses Runaway 2 is a great adventure. This is mainly due to the beautifully atmospheric, finely animated graphics and - at least in places - the ironic joke. Both rewarded me by going to solved problems. The atmosphere fits, the locations are exotic, Brian sympathetic and idiosyncratic. And who has been covered in the wrong-headed logic of the game world, many of the puzzle finally gets out too. A recommendation Runaway 2 is thus always for GENRE fans - but by far not a reference.
Score: 71 / 100
