Why Early Access?

“So far, we are currently in Alpha-phase. Now we want to take another step towards the final release and give more users easier access to our new game. We used the alpha for major bug-fixing and want to concentrate on polishing and balancing on a larger player-base, as our game is mainly based on PvP. We had a lot of changes in the Alpha Test before and are close to the finished product. We want to create a new experience comparable to Crush Online, which was the preceding game to Warmonger.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 2-4 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“As mentioned before we want to focus on balancing, polishing and monetization approaches. We will closely work together with the community and also take feedback into account in order to find out what our playerbase wishes and how to improve the game overall. The general achievement is to generate an optimal PvP experience and work towards an equally player progression in PvP as well as in PvE to give all aspects of the game the meaning it deservs.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“- Three different classes with mulitple exclusive weapons and its own abilities and focal points.
- A crafting and enhancing system to increase the effectiveness of weapons and equipment which can be used to personalize the characters.
- Dungeon help to receive the necessary materials.
- Persistent war fronts in which players fight for one of the two nations to claim lands, taxes and access to dungeons and materials.
- Battles against Monster NPCs or other Nations.
- Utilization of different skills of the towers and nexus to claim the win.
- Forming of Legions and building of Forts to defend their newly conquered lands.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is and will always be free-to-play. Of course there is premium currency in the game, which will also be available in Early-Access. If we do a wipe (we want to avoid them!) we will recharge your credits (aka Jewels) and give you an additional bonus of 10% We are still figuring out the monetization, so there might be changes to the item prices and what you can get where. We know that this is a PvP game and it should be about Skill and not about money. Money will save you time, a better look of your character and maybe very minor bonuses.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to continue to receive feedback mainly from our own discord server, where we personally chat and discuss issues with our players. We read every suggestion and bug a player is reporting. Also, we will use the Steam Forum to get further feedback and ideas, in order to improve Warmonger until the game is finished. We are posting every change in a dedicated discord channel and will use announcements on steam to post the patchnotes.”

Here are the changes which were applied in the last maintenance, enjoy the read and we see in Gaia.

Party system
We removed Party Bonus Drop Rate but compensate it with another system to still provide a benefit for playing in a group. This change was also made due to an exploit based on the bonus drop rate.
  • Removed Party Bonus Drop Rate
  • Party members will receive loot if helped during of a monster kill

2. Runes
We adjusted the calculation of the stats per level to fit the new max level of some of the runes. Note: Max level refers to a rune level +9

Decreased Magic Resist. Pene. [ 20 -> 10]

4. Consumables

- Rainbow reinforceing stone
Works now only in its corresponding rarity.
Example: Rare Weapon, uses Rare Rainbow reinforcing stone.

- Scrolls
We removed all Scroll which provide either Armor or Magic Resist. Penetration from the game.

Systems

1. Legion
We adjusted some mechanics regarding legion which try to provide a smoother gameplay. Soft locks with Level requirements or negative gold got removed.
  • Legions won’t go below 0 legion gold. Resets all affected Legions with negative to have 0 legion gold
  • Cost for building Nexus [500 Legion Fame]
  • Increased territorial Resource supply
  • Removed Level-up restrictions on forts
  • Legions won’t go below 0 legion gold. Resets all affected Legions with negative to have 0 legion gold

2. Stats
We adjusted some of the character stats to improve game experiences against Saints and adjusted the calculation for the Mana and HP regeneration ticks.
  • Punisher, increase MR per level: +3 (90 max MR )
  • Saint, increase MR per level: +4 (120 max MR at level 30 )
  • Guardian, increase MR per level: +6 (150 max MR at level 30 )
  • Changed HP / MP Regen tick from [5 sec ->1 sec]
  • Adjusted values on all Items to fit new regeneration ticks. -> general output stays the same!

3. Crafting
We adjusted the crystal requirements for reinforcement.

We slightly increased the output for dissembling items.

4. UI
Added an Announcement when daily "Holything" event start at 7:00pm , Renamed the event to "Holy gift."

5. Battle Arena Event
We added a new Battle Arena Event which will be started, hold and announced ingame. The Rules are like Mock battles and will provide a likewise experience.

6. Quests
We provided some additional Level 30 Quests and adjusted the reward of some of the already established ones.
It’s now also possible to have multiple Level 30 Quests active. Each unique quest only once at a time.

Bug Fixes
  • Ownership of Legion should now correctly work for the intended time amount after capturing a land.
  • Moving a Fortress via Fragment of Innus Core works now as intended.
  • Premium Buys now don’t work if your inventory doesn’t have enough space left.
  • Fixed a bug were mock battles provided more reward gold than intended.
  • Hero transformation skills now correctly stop after respawning.
  • Fixed a Bug which sometimes causes the game to crash after clicking on a dungeon.

Here are the changes which where applied in the last maintenance.

Upgradesystem
We changed the penalty for failing a upgrade. The Item which shall be upgraded will now nolonger be destroyed if the upgrading fails. Required materials however are still consumed.
  • Before: Item gets destroyed
  • After: Item gets decreased by one Level.
    (+3 -> +2)

Note: Using "Reinforcing Adjuvants" prevents this penalty.

Systems

1. Armor / Magic Resitance Penetration
We adjusted the formular for these two values. With this the effect of both got increased and should now be more effiecient.

2. Jewels
Yellow jewels can from now on only be traded after 24 hours of receiving.

3. Taxes
We increased the amount of gold which gets paid every hour and reduced national resources.

4. Jungle Mobs
We slightly inreased the movement speed of the Giant Bears.

5. Medals
Players one the Defense will receive 100% more medals in a PvP land battle.

6. UI
We added an additional message for notifying players when the Civil War starts.

7. Costumes
We added a new Costume to the game.
-Ninja
  • Dodge +5%
  • Movement +5%

8. Event Dungeon
We adjusted the places for Scattered Troops and Avenue of Spirit dungeons. The duration which while these are accessiable got increased. Players from both fractions can now enter. We also removed the waiting time after acquiring a land.

9. Quests
We added some Lv. 30 Exclusive missions which feature different tasks and ranks. Thay can be bought at Freja. Only one rank mission can be active at a time.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug related to the range of Bows and Daggers for Punisher
  • Fixed an issue where mulitple speed debuffs got dublicated applied
  • Fixed a bug which limited the region

Participate, not just in single matches, but in an epic war! Choose between factions and many distinct characters with tons of different weapon setups and enjoy truly spectacular and tactically challenging combat with and against other players or NPCs.

Warmonger is similar to Crush Online. IT is a kind of a sequel. The game mechanics have changed a lot and we have developed a great new game to adapt requested changes by the community. We have upheld the core features since these were what many players loved so much about the original game. First, we would like to test these new mechanics in an Early Access Phase so we will still have the opportunity to change them later on. Our goal is to optimize the game together with our community so that we can finally unleash the potential of this concept.
