What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We do not see a reason not to go on Early Access! Since we have the gameplay and our first 26 levels ready we would like to share it with the gaming community so we make the upcoming parts of the game even better!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We hope the full release will be as soon as possible from the moment we release our first build. With that being said, we will not compromise on variety or quality aiming to try to keep players interested by releasing major updates that will include new levels to experience in both Normal and Hell mode! The bottom line is it could take anywhere from 6 to 8 months depending on the challenges we are going to face.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full release will include:
4 different Temple areas to experience (approximately 75-100 levels), at least 4 bosses to defeat, multiple traps to outsmart, additional characters to meet and more gameplay mechanics (power ups) to make use of - of course! We wouldn’t like to spoil anything specific but you can expect a fulfilling experience even if you play the game from the point of Early Access all the way to the full release as we will be releasing a Temple area with each major update!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In the current state there is 1 out of 4 Temple areas available featuring 25 unique levels including a bossfight, with both Normal and Hell mode available. That leaves 3 worlds remaining until the full release! We are also very confident that finding bugs will be a real challenge since we have done our best in testing out the game. In either case we would really appreciate the help of the community in order to eliminate any possible issues that could emerge in the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No - the price will stay as it is, we believe that a one time payment of this scale will be fair for both us and the players. We are also planning to be active on Steam sales so more people can have the opportunity of playing our game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We would like to include the Community in the extend of problem solving and gameplay feedback in order to solve any issues that will come along the way and figuring out ways to develop the game in a way that it becomes as good as it can be.”

Early February Update Notes and Upcoming Content

A new temple area is close to release in which EVERYTHING is different! Even a mysterious female character was added so who’s up for some news about what’s happening in the world of Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries?!

Fellow reader we know that a month has passed since our previous post announcement (or millenia in Steam Early Access time equivalence ) so we hope to meet your expectations with this one!

For a starter we would like to mention that small changes have been made in the early stages of the first temple area so new players can have a little bit more time to get the mechanics of the game before the real challenge starts!

Alongside with that we also added a resolution change setting for users that experience lower framerates.
(You can lower the resolution by accessing the setting in the menu as shown in the image below)

We would also like to announce that if everything goes as planned we will be able to release the second temple area by the end of February - all levels of Normal mode are ready for testing but there is a boss fight and a HELL mode (for lunatics like our Level Designer that enjoy the extra challenge) to craft ahead!

We also have a commitment not to release anything un-polished or incomplete so bear with us for a few weeks ( ͡°ω ͡°)

On the flip side we still have time to tweak some stuff so your feedback would be of great importance to us!

We have released video since the last post announcement so please let us know what you think of our progress:

Robbie Swifthand - Area 2 Progress 2

Any feedback is welcome - our aim is to craft a game that will be as good as we can make it so no sugarcoating, let us know what you think!

Area 2 Progress

Robbie Swifthand finds himself in an area of the temple that is filled with plants!

The challenges presented are also fundamentally different than what he has seen so far since the traps work in entirely different ways!

  • BEAR TRAPS !!
  • SPIKES OF DEATH !!1!
  • INCREDIBLE MOVING PLATFORMS THAT KILL YOU !!11!!
  • DESPICABLE ROCKS THAT BLOW WIND AT YOU !11!!!!1!
  • AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, A DOUBLEJUMP POWERUP 1!11!11!!!!!!11!!!!1!

There is still some way until this area is actually finished but let us know what you think (◕‿◕✿)
