Dino D-Day Public Beta is now open, Beta DLC Last Stand is up for sale

Dino D-Day now has an Open Beta where players who want to check out our upcoming free overhaul of the game, can do so. The Dino D-Day Jurassic Update isn't finished yet - but it is playable and we will continue to take feedback as we polish it to completion.

We invite you to come play with us and let us know what you think of the direction the game is taking. If you have thoughts and ideas we would love to hear them!

You can also purchase the Last Stand DLC now on our main Steam page. This is also a very playable version of the game which will keep getting refined as we get player feedback. It has new dinosaurs, a new Quartermaster upgrade store, new maps, a terrifying boss battle at the end of it, and finally and most importantly: it has a goat out for revenge who shoots lightning from his horns for Freedom.

For more info, and detailed instructions on how to opt into the Beta, visit our blog

A Jurassic-Sized Update and Last Stand DLC!

A Jurassic-Sized Update!

That's right, an update that can only be described as “Jurassic” in that it has taken us approximately 55 million years to complete. But in that 55 million years, incredible change has taken place! Layer after layer, like sediment compacting into mudstone on the floor of a vast alluvial plain 170 million years ago in a time when dino—uh, wait. Sorry. Got lost in a geological metaphor there.

Where were we? Oh yeah, a Jurassic-Sized Update headed to a computer near you! It's been a long time since we've shipped a really great update to Dino D-Day. At long last, we've got one for you...and this one is special! Dare we say...it's our biggest update ever!

For much more information, including news on the free update, the DLC, and FAQ about what we've been doing lately, head over here:

About This Game

The year is 1942. Adolf Hitler has succeeded in resurrecting dinosaurs. The reptilian horde has trampled Europe and the Mediterranean. Can nothing stop the Nazi’s dinosaur army?
Dino D-Day is a frantic, action-packed multiplayer game that transports you to a World War II that should have been. You and your friends can battle online choosing to serve the cause of the Allied nations or the Nazis. The Allied side includes seven playable characters including Trigger, a Protoceratops rescued from the Nazis. Each Allied class has unique weapons and abilities to use in combat. Gun down a Dilophosaur with your trusty M1 Garand, blast a kamikaze pterosaur out of the sky with your Thompson sub-machine gun, or toss out a dead jackrabbit to lure a raptor into a trap.
As an Axis player you will have your choice of three human classes and four dinosaur classes. Ambush your enemy with speed and stealth as the Raptor, mercilessly pound the enemy with a heavy 20mm gun as the Desmatosuchus, rampage through enemy groups as the Dilophosaur or pick up a body and throw it at an enemy for a double kill! Or if you prefer a rifle in your hand, the German soldier classes are the perfect complement to their dinosaur comrades.
You’ve played World War II games before…but have you played a World War II game with dinosaurs?

Key features:

  • Frantic online multiplayer action involving Nazis and Dinosaurs
  • 7 playable dinosaur classes: Velociraptor, Dilophosaur, Desmatosuchus, Stygimoloch, Trigger the Protoceratops, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Styracosaur.
  • 9 playable human classes
  • 26 classic World War II weapons and plenty of exciting dinosaur attacks!
  • Powered by Valve’s Software’s Source engine – the technology behind such mega-hits as Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Portal, Portal2, Left 4 Dead, and Left 4 Dead 2!

System Requirements

    Minimum:
    • OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
    • Processor: Pentium 4 3.0 GHz
    • Memory: 1 GB
    • Hard Disk Space: 5 GB of free space
    • Video Card: 128 MB, Shader model 2.0, ATI 9600, NVidia 6600 or better

This game is fun. No matter your skill, no matter your system, no matter the class you choose. This game embodies the ultimate dream of all young boys and I can assume many young girls. WW2 mixed with Dinos I mean it's magic! I awaited this game from the moment I heard of it. It's surprising a game like this took so long to come out. But the similarity to UT is what really makes this game fun for old school gamers. Let's be honest ever since Halo and CS ruined gaming forever people have been waiting for a game that isn't realistic. If I wanted to crouch and steady myself before every shot I'd go play paintball. I want to jump and flip like a jackass while some poor sap tries to shoot the ball of rubber I've become. It's simple the matrix was cool that's what I want from a game... any game. That said the graphics are ok at best but the gameplay more than makes up for it. The only real problem I have is getting hung up on walls and corners it's sort of the one button mouse of gaming. A nearly unforgivable sin since it was fixed in most games long ago. All things considered it's a great little number I'll be playing for years to come. -SEF

Ok, I'll be honest, I LOVE THIS GAME!!! Its addictive, fun entertaining and over the top! I'm only gonna review the game BEFORE the major update and BEFORE the DLC so here it goes:

The numbers:

Graphics: 5/10. Not too good but not the worst. If this review was an electoral voting system grapics would count for 1. All i'm saying: It doesn't matter. Don't be turned off by it!

Controls: 8/10. Like TF2.

Handling: 7/10. Advrage FPS game 'feel'.

Story: 6/10. Not much but it does have somthing, and now with the past few updates has come more explamation.

Game play: 10/10. This is what makes the game great. It is like a lower level COD multiplayer game but with DINOS!!! multiple classes and assortments of weapons allows you to be able to blast through hours of fun! Cant't stress this factor enough!!!

Creativity: 2 part rating here: 8/10
a. FPS: Done before, nothing special.
b. Dinos: Over the top. One of 3 games on steam that have 'FPS Dino' theme.

Price: 10/10. Was FREE at one point but normally goes on sale for $2.50 so save your pennies!!!!!

Hype: 10/10. Thought was gonna be good but ended up being Great!

Over all: 8/10 Very Fun! Must have!!!

NOTE: This is a review for BEFORE THE DLC AND BETA CAME OUT!!! Saved all that for another review.

Game of the Year 1945. 100% accurate to WWII, I should I was there. Buy it now for accurate history portrayal, with Nazi kamakazi raptors.

Dino D-day is a great game. Unfortunately, the population is far too low and saturated with cheating. You might say "Oh, just go to a different server," but let me repeat: THE POPULATION IS FAR TOO LOW AND SATURATED WITH CHEATING.
As in, at any given time, there is about ONE SERVER with a good amount of people on it, and on that server there is bound to be 2-3 cheaters on it. You simply CANNOT ESCAPE. If you leave the server, they are bound to follow if they want to annoy you because you are easy to track when only two servers have anyone on it.

Until Steam Vac gets rid of these cheaters and the developers fix their DLC, I can't recommend this game anymore. I suspect the cheating is the major reason why the population has not been able to grow.

You can still play with bots, but I doubt it's worth the price if all you are playing against is bots. There is NO campaign, and all the maps and gametypes are the same for bots and players alike.

In short: Fun game ruined by cheaters.

Por más que halla estado free y que lo tengan todos y digan que es malisimo, me parece un juegazo. La idea de combinar la segunda guerra mundial con dinosaurios me parece genial, y creo que este juego es... Hermoso, les digo que lo prueben.

This.Game.Is.Amazing.Yes while some aspects are a little bleak, IO think ypoou guys can do way better.I propose that you make a co-op campaign where you can either play as Allies, or Axis on a mission to rid the world of Nazi dinasaurs, or those pesky Allies!

Last time I played this was back in Dec 2013 (even at that time I thought I would revisit this game). Wow had only one guy to play with and I really had some deep conversations with that guy...(yes I know, why?) because I had alot of time to kill back then. But it wasn't like a 'normal' conversation. I just wanted to wait for other players to join but no one came....for 4 hours. So I told the guy to go play another game because this game is dead to a tee but he said he only had team fortress 1 and this game in his account. So I said 'why?', theres was crap load of sales at that time. But he said there was nothing interesting to buy and talked about the crisis happening in the Syrian Civil War (at tthe time). I promptly told him I had diarreha to take care of and left......yeah...................

so the main point of this useless story: there was no one playing, this game is dead

Pros:

-you can be dinosaurs and kill wehrmachts or allies
-Sexy looking Free French Girl Character named Camille (now I think about it, its eh)
-good selection of weapons but not too much
-smooth play like DOD:S
-Can choose between soldiers or dinosaur (dont pick microraptors their total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, get killed off by one bullet)
-I think you can devour dead bodies or pieces of fish, not sure which

Cons:

-Could of added vehicles to stand out, or anything that wouldn't be the same as DOD:S but with dinosaurs
-the damn T-REX is useless in urban maps, dafuq, they just hide in the blown up buildings and shooting like their peeking in and out all the damn time.
-need more marketing/exposure to the public, nobody is damn playing this
-Empty Server
-No people
-Trying to hard to be a cross between Left 4 Dead and DOD:S
-No people
-Empty Server
-Microraptor, its a total bull♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dinosaur; add more health to it or add a A-bomb device attached to it.

Dino D-Day 2? No thanks buddy
