Şu an bile tekrar terar bitirmeye doyamadığım puzzle tarz oyunların da babasıdır half life. Kısaca fazla söze gerek yok rate: 10/10

Kinda hard to say anything new and interesting about how good Half-Life is in 2016. It's easily the best linear FPS I've played and one of those games you need to play before you die. Only thing I'm not a big fan of in this game is all the platforming which almost never works in first person games (the most notable exception being Metroid Prime). However I can forgive it since it's great at everything else.

Half Life, one of the many games that "changed the game". However, no game innovated it's genre as much as Half Life. Before 1998, fps games didn't have any story, instead you simply blasted through levels to beat the game. Half Life added a story, with talking characters and all the parts of a storyline you heard in that crappy English class. Then Half Life starred a huge modding community, which produced some of Valve's biggest franchises, not to mention started up some other popular developers. After all of this, Half Life 2 came out and became the new star.

Overall Half Life is great, and I recommend it for everyone to try.

P.S: Notice how I didn't recommend Half Life: Source? Yeah don't get that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port.

This classic game deserves to have a play, but if you want to see it in better graphics, i recommend Black Mesa, other than that, this game is definently worth a play.

Half-Life is an all time classic masterpiece. It's a story rich game, full of revolutionizing gameplay material for its time. Its interactive atmosphere, creates a sense of realism to the player. While the graphics were amazing for its time, they are clearly outdated, but either way this game does deserve a play as it is truly amazing (Gameplay wise, and story wise). Gameplay wise, Half-Life's shooting and combat is smooth, and the interactive environment can cause pretty cool easter eggs, as well as intriguing story pieces to uncover throughout the Black Mesa Facility. Story wise, Half-Life focuses on a silent protagonist, which may seem strange for a story rich game. However, Half-Life's character's silence causes the player to react rather than the character, letting the player feel as if they were in the game, and make choices that reflect on themselves not on the character, which really causes the player to feel as if they form a part of the story. I won't spoil the story but I have to say it is unique for its time, and not everyone will be attracted to it, but it's worth a play from my side. :D

Pretty important to lore. Good gameplay, kinda reminiscent of Doom or Quake. Bad graphics, but fun, and important- really helps with Halflife lore. and pretty fun, long enough.

You play as some serial killer in a research facility that runs around with a crowbar, murdering the staff, some soldiers, innocent wildlife, and even a flying fetus at the end.

This game's got more variety than The Ed Sullivan Show. Tired of shooting aliens? Here's some Marines to shoot. Tired of shooting things? Here's some platforming. Tired of running around the corridors of a research facility? Here's some desert canyons to navigate. Tired of Earth's gravity? Here's some low-gravity alien terriain to bounce around.

Half-Life is well, quite possibly one of the best FPS games ever created. This was my favorite game during my childhood which led into Counter-Strike. Coupled with great action, detailed environments and an awesome sci-fi story nothing beats Half-Life. After all these years it's still an awesome game and is a joy to play in super high resolution and also with the included HD textures. Everyone needs to play Half-Life at least once in their lifetime, you won't be disappointed with an unforgettable story and protagonist - Gordon Freeman.

What can I say? It's ♥♥♥♥ing Half Life. A classic fps game that I grew up with as a kid playing it on a toaster oven. The only issue with the game is that the last area has a lot of awkward first person platforming with weird physics that breaks the pacing in an otherwise very well paced game.

This game is simply amazing for a game made in 1998. Its graphics are older, yes but it has been a challenging puzzle game. The storyline is also a bit easy to follow. The weapon selection is actually larger than Gmod or HL2 with up to ~15 weapons. The ending and opening scenes are also quite amazing. The only problem I found was controlling the long jump module, which is crouch-jumping. All-in-all, give it a go, its a remarkable and memorable game. 10/10

Don't you DARE let the Graphics and release date fool you, this game is glorious. Challenging, fun. Exciting, and kinda scary, this game has got to be one of my favs. BUT DONT STOP HERE!!!! Play ALL the half life games, you can't let it end here. However, I would suggest that you are experienced at FPS, cause this game is very, VERY hard. I'd recommend playing half life 2 and the episodes before this if you're not experienced at FPS.

Although its good, I honestly expected... more to a kickoff of a revolutionary franchise. I'd only recommend this if you are a TRUE lover of fps's like Doom, other then that, I'd perfer its sequel, Half Life 2.

Still a really good game though.
