About This Game

Money Talks. Silence Pays. Prepare to Make a Killing. When assassins from Agent 47's contract agency, The ICA, are eliminated in a series of hits, it seems a larger, more powerful agency has entered the fray. Sensing he may be a target, 47 travels to America, and prepares to make a killing.
  • 'Blood Money' system: the cleaner the 'hit' the more money you receive which can be spent on bribing witnesses and police to reduce your notoriety, weapon customisation, specialist equipment and information.
  • Customisable weapons: modify Agent 47's custom weapons in a variety of ways including sound, recoil, rate of fire, damage, reload speed, accuracy and zoom.
  • Strong narrative: who is wiping out the ICA and what is their motivation?
  • New engine: the world of the assassin has never been so interactive or looked so good!
  • New gameplay techniques: including disarm, distraction, accidents, body disposal, human shield and decoy weapons.
  • New control and camera system: Agent 47 now moves independently of the camera.
  • New moves: Agent 47 can now climb, hide, scale ledges and automatically pass low obstacles.
  • Improved AI: guards will follow blood trails, investigate suspicious items and behaviour. New pathfinder engine provides improved tracking and movement with realistic enemy behaviour and interaction.
  • Soundtrack by BAFTA-winning composer Jesper Kyd.

HITMAN BLOOD MONEY is a great game. The reasons why I think this is because it has a large variety of choice in eliminating your targets, and a large scale rating system. It is large because once you complete a mission you can get from the psychopath rating to the silent assasin rating. The gameplay mechanics are fun but I do wish that there were more missions. The graphics are not the best but that is understandable since it was made in 2006. And it requires low system requirments which is a good bonus. To conclude if you like Hitman games and shooter games which consist of stealth gameplay or maybe more violent gameplay I would really recomend the game to you. I have played countless hours of it and the replay value is really good as you can change the difficulty level from rookie to pro!!
That's all from me, thank you for reading.

Friend: Perfect murder, now you can roll him up in the carpet from the stairs.
Me: Good idea.

If you enjoy watching your target blow up in slow motion, while you yourself die from your own stupid mistakes, then this game is for you.
Honestly though, I love this game to bits. An absolute classic for anyone who enjoys stealth or murder, and utterly worth the meager price steam asks for it.
Well, what are you waiting for? Go buy it!

...And the last level is incredibly satisfying.
Ohh, dat music.

Hitman: Blood Money is easily the best game in the series. And can easily be considered one of the greatest stealth games ever devised.

The reasons are numerous. Hitman Blood Money is a radical improvement over all of the previous games in the series. Taking elements that worked well from each of the previous games, and putting them in a single package. Coupled with numerous additions. Hits can now be completed by making the act resemble an accident, which typically is required to achieve a Silent Assassin rating. Additionally, after each hit you can view a newspaper which documents in detail what you did during the mission and even includes an artists rendering if you were seen by a witness.

But that wasn't all. Hitman Blood Money was ahead of it's time in a lot of regards. Much like the previous games you could practice your weapons in 47's hideout. Along with collecting weapons in missions that you could use in other ones. But you could also upgrade your weapons with things like different stocks, magazines and silencers. Normal today but relatively unheard of at the time outside of uber tactical games.

One flaw the previous Hitman games would occasionally have is missions would get a little samey after a while. They'd occasionally blend in together with a similar theme. Almost every mission in Hitman Blood Money is distinct, from an opera house hit to a mission taking place on a mississipi river boat. I remembered every single one, and their uniqueness adds a huge amount to how superior this game feels over the previous entries in the series. It really feels special and like the developers worked extremely hard on every single mission.

It is just the quintessential Hitman game, technically flawless and masterfully polished. If every series had its own "Blood Money", we wouldn't need sequels.

Unargueably the best game in the series. Also probably the best stealth game I've ever played, and trust me I wasn't interested in buying the game but when I bought it about 2 minutes in I knew it was worth it. 4 tips for people who've never played Hitman Blood Money: 1. X key is to use sniper scope 2. Save after parts that are important (if on easy, normal or medium), for example after one of many assassinations on that mission, so you don't have to restart if you mess up after that (you'll understand when the time comes) 3. You have to save after each level (don't worry these are unlimited) or else you will do what I did; play half of the game without saving because you thought the saves were limited and then log off (forgetting to save of course). 4. F1 is to go first person. Have fun.

Hitman: Blood Money

I remember playing this game a long time ago and having a blast. Revisting it on Steam was very much worth it.

Positives:

+ Agent 47 now has more choices than ever when taking out a target. This game is awesome, and leaps ahead of its predecessors. Each assassination has many, many different ways to be pursued, a lot more than Contracts, Silent Assassin or Codename 47. Feel like staging an accident at an opera? Head backstage and swap the prop gun for a real one, then blow the chandelier foundations up with explosives, so they drop on your 2nd target. How about taking out a target in FBI witness protection? The target is having a birthday party for his child, so you can incapacitate a clown and walk right through the front doors. Then slip into the sauna where a spare FBI suit is and strangle your target to death with fiber wire. This is just the tip of the iceberg. So much variety it's amazing - which also means HUGE replayability.

+ Graphics are pretty damn good for 2006, they hold up really well for a decade old game.

+ Story is cleverly interwovern between the assassination missions, revealing more of the plot as you progress. I found it to be quite interesting.

+ Stealth is superb in this game. You're going to need disguises, be it a waiter, garbage man, chef, policeman or whatever is applicable for your plan. Certain areas are restriced to those with access, so you're going to need the right disguises or move silently to avoid guard patrols. Hiding bodies is crucial to success, and for the first time in the series these can be concealed in freezers boxes or long, wooden crates.

+ How professionally you perform your hits impacts on your notoriety and how much money you earn. Cash can be spent on body armour and health upgrades or modifications for weapons like silencers, scopes and sights.

Mixed:

~ A lot of Hitman: Blood Money's gameplay revolves around understanding guard patrol patterns, timing and then perfect execution (this is of course if you're trying to achieve the perfect assassination). On the higher difficulties like expert, only 3 saves are permitted each mission and it can actually be quite difficult, until you work out the patterns. This is both good and bad. On one hand, there's too much focus on the previously mentioned mechanics which are time consuming. It can take hours to get the hit just right, with minimal civilian and bodyguard casualties. You'll be reloading endlessly, trying new combinations or methods to find what works best. On the other hand, this is part of the reason the game shines - to be the best assassin you have to perform like the best assassin. You need to think ahead and be on top of your game. It's a double-edged sword.

Negatives:

- Controls are a bit awkward, takes time to get used to. Could have been more polished for sure, but it's just a matter of adaptation.

Overall Score: 9/10

Conclusion: Best Hitman game of the series. It has style, great visuals, smart level design and solid storytelling. Don't miss out on this game, it's only a few dollars on sale.

Hitman. The known game franchise where you're put in the role of an assasin and which trademark is using disguise to your advantage. You will visit various locations in Hitman Blood Money and have various scenery on the missions. You go from Piers to Suburbs, to Operas to Las Vegas Casinos to Cemetary to Hideout.. you name it. The objective of the game sounds very simple but the ways to it, vary in how difficult it is to get to the objective, which is.. kill the target :)

There are quite many ways usually to complete an objective and that is nice that the player isn't being forced to play it a certain way only but is being given room to experiment with different style approaches. Good examples would be.. You could snipe the target from long range, you could switch a prop blank shooting gun to a real version of it, or you could use the environment to your advantage by forexample dropping a big heavy chandelier light over the target via carefully timed remote-triggering of an explosive. There are many ways to get the job done.

Game is fairly long. I finished it in 14,7hrs with a stealthy gameplay approach and I didn't feel like the game ended abruptly but instead was just the right lenght, since I didn't feel like it started dragging nor that it ended too soon but was just perfect lenght. Because the game is now quite old, it is possible to get it cheap even on normal price of 8,99€ and with that price, it is totally worth the ~15hrs it offers.

Simply Stunning. the transition of coming from the outstanding absolution to another outstanding blood money was magnificent. it took a while of getting used to but the creativity of the levels and the way they are designed with multiple outcomes is superb. absolution was a linear game with roughly one outcome to each level; but what made up for that was the beutiful - emotional storyline which took a place in my heart. blood money provides almost a sandbox with each level and is mainly a trial and error basis. you fail, you try again. The more you fail the more knowledge you get on the level which enables more precise judgement of when to move, when to attack and when to do a certain act. whether its waiting for somebody to look away, or waiting for them to pass a precise spot. the pure essence of the game is all about timing. it's stunning! my advice is that if you muck up the first time don't leave the game and feel downhearted the game was designed for you to fail time and time again so you become more experienced on the levels.

A classic game one that all should play.....but
I'm not liking this on PC like I did on console.
Controls are pretty clunky, sure they can be customized...but it just didn't feel "right".

Hitman:Blood Money is one of my favourite games in my entire steam library. It's just so damned good. I've personally never played a hitman game before this one, but because of it I'm probably going to buy more Hitman games.
I'm not good at this review thing, but I'll try.
H:BM Is a game where you play a bald clone who's job description is "kills people for money." It doesn't matter the requirements, Agent 47 will do them.
In other words, you are kind of a badass.
Every mission is a new, different experience with new, different people. From sneaking into a wine tasting event to pushing a woman dressed like a devil into a pit of sharks, every level feels different and awesome. The targets you have to kill are all varied, all actual PEOPLE. That being said, that illusion is broken a bit when it comes to the AI, as well as the general look of some of the NPCs. The game has an odd shade to it; the lighting in the game giving a slightly eerie feel to it some times. It also tends to make some NPCs look a bit on the ugly side. However, that is excusable. It's a game from 2006, and it looks pretty good for that area. That however, is irrelivent. Sometimes, the AI pisses you off because it is all the same, slightly stupid AI. NPCs tend to do dumb things, oft times yelling at you for no reason or just staring at you gormlessly. Everyone stares at you, even while in disguise. The actual annoying part is when NPCs see a dead thing. Like a normal person, they ask: "U k m80?" and then they see the actual death, and go "o snap he ded wat do panic" and run off to get an officer. The problem is, when someone dies, it's buisness as usual a few minutes afterword. But, I suppose common sense vs gameplay mechanics.
Everything else about the game is fantastic. The controls are nice, having three different buttons to perfom actions and select what you wish to do. Some quirks such as Hitman's inability to strangle or knock people out from the front, his apparent love of jumping over all the things, the fact that some rails do not seem to have the ability to have bodies thrown over them, and the magic that is invisible walls that never seem to stop you except when it makes the least sense. I'm looking at you, one weird fence that I can't throw thing's over. However, these are nitpicks, and the actual game is fantastic. You constantly feel ♥♥♥♥ing awesome when you take down the target, and even when you do play the game like Ground Hog Day and abuse saves, you still feel like you've accomplished something. Every level is an intricate clockwork of amazing level design, and there is always one weakness in the security. and finding those weaknesses or seeing opportunities or even devising your own crazy plan that works in the end (With a couple hitches) is a fantastic feeling.
Plus, Diana is pretty cool.

Blood money is sooo good. It's nice cas it's a sandbox game, like Absolution was amazing prob cas it was my first Hitman game, also it's just a stroy game. blood money is a stroy and sandbox and that what makes it so nice, i don't have enough for the new HITMAN game, but when i do get my hands on it, and a nice pc that can run it great, it'll be the #1 game, Also am stall hoping they lead on from Absolution and stall make sandboxs games, that'll be awesome too.

A game like Blood Money will be seen as a classic and studied for future replication of greater games in the near times.
