Why Early Access?

“I am a one man team and this is my first release. It would be difficult for me to complete this game without feedback from the community. I want the community to give some feedback about difficulty of the game. I also want the community to provide feedback about the missions in general. Which ones they like more, what I should focus on in future missions, etc.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About six months, but I plan to have a closed beta for about a month or so prior to actual release. The purpose of the beta is to iron out bugs and balance the missions.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The game currently has no sound, and only has 9 missions. My goal is to use early access to balance out the current missions, add sound, and add additional missions. A few extra parts may be added as well. The first step is to fix all the bugs, then balance the missions and tweak the current parts in the game, after that, I will look into adding sound to the game. Once all that is done, I should have a better idea of what direction to take with the game, at which point, I will start adding more missions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game has 9 fully playable missions. There is currently no sound, and the sandbox mode is still a work in progress.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I'm trying to set the price based on the amount of content in the game. As more content is added, I may decide on a higher price point.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I would like them to post any bugs and issues in the discussion section of the store page. I will also provide an email address, which I will be checking regularly. If there are some bugs or issues, it may be a good idea to include a video of it.”

Update 2

Greetings!

Thanks to everyone who bought the game, and to those who are interested!

Update 2 involves some small changes to the UI scaling. Previously, the UI would only work well on 16:9 aspect ratio, now it should work on all aspect ratios. If there are some issues with this, or other bugs/issues, please report them in the Discussion section of the store page. Screenshots and Videos help a lot.

I'm still working on fixing up the wheels mechanics. Currently, I don't have any news on it. I've tried a few different things, none are really perfect. I need to spend more time tweaking the physics. As soon as I have something ready, I will update the game.

Update 1 is Live!

Hello everyone!

It was very exiting launching my first game on Steam, but it was also a big challenge. Upon watching the video reviews, I've noticed that there are many issues and bugs with the game. This is a first in a series of updates intended to fix the issues!

Update Notes:

- Added tooltips that explain what the parts are, and how to use them.
- Fixed some bugs with placing and grabbing parts.

The next updates will focus on improving the wheel mechanics, fixing more bugs, and adding some kind of explanation for each of the missions.

It seems to me that the best way to test the game is to watch complete strangers play it. This way, the people testing it have no idea how the game is meant to be played, so they end up uncovering lots of issues. The video reviews are extremely helpful. I thank everyone who left a video review, and I would appreciate if more people could record gameplay footage for me to analyze.

About This Game

Billy works in a high tech factory, only... he’s kind of a dummy. His job is to test all kinds of wacky vehicles and contraptions. Your job is to make sure he survives the test in one piece... or not, we are overstocked on these units anyway, so go nuts!

The game contains two game modes, Mission mode and Sandbox mode. Mission mode currently has 9 missions where the objective is to get the crash test dummy, Billy, to the checkpoint. To get to the checkpoint you have to overcome certain obstacles, such as jump over a wall, fly up to an elevated platform, fit through a small opening and so on. To achieve this, you must design a vehicle using the available parts, such as building blocks, wheels, jets, rollers, de-couplers and many more. Once you are happy with your vehicle, you must pilot it through the level and get Billy to check point. While doing so, you must also keep an eye on the maximum g-forces acting on Billy. Exceed the threshold and the mission is a failure. Good luck!
