What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access will give me the opportunity to get feedback from players. It's not easy to balance a Real-Time Strategy game, especially if there are many factions. And Eternal Empires will ultimately have 16 factions, so I will need a lot of feedback from community on balancing and pointing out bugs if there are any. I will regularly update the game until it's finished.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I will not do the full release until I feel the game is finished. That might take a while since there is a long list of features on my 'To do' list. My current estimate is that it will take about 6 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More features, more content and more polished look.

That means more factions, each faction will have unique units and bonuses, more map options, multiplayer gameplay, modding API and more mod friendly game structure(less hardcoded and more data-driven) and more polished UI and graphics.

Also, all factions will be rebalanced with the help of community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is very stable and shouldn't have any technical issues.

At day one of Early Access Eternal Empires will have:
-skirmish mode with procedural map generation
-great UI for micro-management of units
-resource management
-base building

The game already has high replayability due to procedural map generation.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, price will change after Early Access based on community feedback. The price will not change during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am looking forward to working with the community on a number of things such as:

New feature suggestions:
I have many ideas myself but I would like to hear all the suggestions from experienced RTS players.

Game balance:
Since there will be many units and factions to balance, a lot of player feedback will be needed.

Bug detection:
I hope there are as few bugs as possible during Early Access, but if there are some the best way to find them is through player feedback.”
