What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“For mainly two reasons:

1. Regardless of how thorough we are checking for bugs and broken game mechanics, players who just play the game are more likely to identify them. That way, we can deliver a much more solid game once we leave Early Access.

2. The game now has a solid base and features. We decided to let the community choose what features and types of content they want to have added. Shortly after our Early Access launch, everyone who owns a copy the game can not only bring up new ideas but also vote on ideas other people have added. That way, we can truly say that we will create the game our players want. Early Access is the perfect opportunity for doing this.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our estimate is by January 2023. Since the community decides what we add to the game, it's hard to be very exact about a possible release date.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game will not only have much more content, but also content the community really wanted. There will be more unique dungeons to explore, more puzzles and the stories will be more profound. All bugs that players will encounter during the Early Access phase will be fixed in final version of the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Most of the systems work as they should in the final version:
- Fighting with different weapons such as bows, swords, magic runes, war machines
- Creating your village and developing it to the highest level
- Crafting all necessary tools, swords and armors in functional buildings in your village
- Creating NPC's for your village
- You can reveal the secret of the warhorn and finish the main storyline
- All systems linked to the survival element of the game: killing, looting, cooking, eating, drinking, crafting, etc.
- Solving puzzles that are essential to finish the game.

There will be more unique swords, runes and armor parts that you can craft or find in the final version of the game. Players can expect much more content, items and a more lively world with the final release.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, because we aim for player-driven implementation of features. After our first closed testing phase we quickly realized that we need more manpower, because the feedback of our players was not only overwhelming but also very valuable. Some great ideas have been introduced and we want to implement them into our game. Sadly, more manpower also means more costs. To cover those, the game pricing will be slightly higher after we leave Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Apart from the already mentioned voting process involving the community, we will have regular community-panels where the general state of the game is being discussed and where players will be able to talk about things that aren't necessarily feature-related. The players will have all the power in the process of shaping the world of the game.”

About This Game

Weary of the life as a lumberjack, you decide to leave the safe walls of your homeland in order to travel far away and begin the life of an adventurer. Months later, just as you start to doubt your decision, you arrive on an archipelago where you hear about something called “The Warhorn”: A relic capable of granting immortality!
You decide to settle on one of the islands – where your story shall begin.
The Warhorn is a take on the unique mixture of genres, the most important ones being RPG and city-building/management while other distinctive elements in the game come from the exploration, puzzle and open world genres.

  • Explore a vast open world: Including 5 themed biomes like spring / summer, autumn, winter, desert and jungle having their own unique sub-biomes with their own unique resources and denizens.
  • Solve challenging puzzles: While most of them can be done alone, some might need a helping hand – or two.
  • Face various foes: Every biome comes with its own set of animals, beasts and other denizens. Some of them may be neutral, but others could be deadly.
  • Learn new skills: Wield a sword, swing a hammer or laugh at brute force and master the elements like fire, ice and light. Villagers can teach you many things, but in order for them to share their knowledge, you might have to earn their trust first… or a sizeable amount of riches.
  • Build your empire: Learn how to build with different materials and create a village to your liking. Villagers will gather resources for you while your villages’ soldiers are protecting your empire.
  • Be ready for war: Build powerful war machines to either defend your village or attack another in a fight for resources, relics and secrets of this world.
  • Multiplayer: Everything in the game can be done together. Build the most incredible empire with your friends, trade with other empires or fight against them.
