What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“APEX Tournament allows players to move around extremely fast in Virtual Reality. This fast-paced combat system is the first of its kind so it is very important to get your feedback! We are excited to learn how players will firefight and navigate through the level to help us refine level balance and gameplay.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“APEX Tournament will be in continual development for approximately half a year. We are expecting a full release at Q2 2018 with additional levels, weapons, and game modes.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The early access version of Apex Tournament has all the core features which allow players to experience high-speed immersive combat with the Hyper Dash system. On full launch we expect to have:

  • FPS MOBA leveling play style: This game mode allows team territory and skill level progression through a 20 min game session. We want to bring the dynamic gameplay of MOBA into the FPS world
  • Additional weapons: A lot more ranged and melee weapons!
  • Items for purchase: In addition to weapons we have offensive, defensive, and support items that will enrich the dynamic game play.
  • Survival mode: single player survival mode that helps player hone in their skills and reach top score to unlock additional bonuses.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the core features, abilities, weapons and levels are implemented. Apex Tournament at its current state is ready for users to experience high level combat.

  • Full motion of the Hyper Dash system that allows players to customize sensitivity threshold in different directions.
  • Over 15 ranged and melee weapons.
  • 3 maps both Team Death Match and Free for all
  • Character with multiple armor add-ons including helmets, shoulder pads and leg armor.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price will be increased gradually as more content is added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be crucial in determining which upcoming features should be prioritized and how they should be implemented. We especially need our plays feedback on game balance and level update. We will be religiously checking and interacting with our players on the steam community hub. We also have Facebook and Trello group setup for additional feedback, request features or report bugs”
