Get this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/devilmaycry3/mods/1/?

It is to DMC3SE what DSfix is to Dark Souls. It fixes the performance, controller and sound issues, making the PC version as solid as its console counterparts. In addition, the mod has options for on-the-fly style-switching, weapon-switching for all weapons, Doppelganger and Quicksilver styles for Vergil, Air Hike for every weapon, color saturation options, etc.

Devil May Cry 3 is still one of the best action games ever made, and this mod fixes every major issue with the PC port, and elevates the game to even greater heights.

Happy styling.

No need to worry about port anymore. Styleswitcher mod fixes everything and turns DMC3 into a dream come true who those who want to experience more out of the game. Ever wanted to use style switching from dmc4 with the 5 different weapon arms and gun arms in the game, then get dat styleswitcher mod. Want to customize some other aspects of hte games engine to allow for even crazier combos, styleswitcher mod. Is this game worth it even if you already own the the hd collection...sadly, only with the style swticher mod.

So yeah, as a port, absolutely flawed to the core but a super fast fix in just 5 minutes with styleswitcher mod. Why can't I stop talking about it? It's the best thing that ever happened to dmc3 that's what...though, that's my opinion, so why don't you make your own giving it a go. Infinite combo potential awaits you.

It's very easy to set up. Check out styleswitcher mod combo videos while you are at it.

The game itself is very good. Although the port is unimaginably bad. With a lot of dedication and hard work it's possible to fix almost all the problems.

"THIS PARTY'S GETTING CUHRAYZEE! LET'S ROCK!"
*Presses music button, nothing happens*
*Smashes jukebox, nothing happens*
*Dante proceeds to slay demons in silence*

Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening. -Or Special Edition, as it is now.
The best game in the series yet, in my own humblest opinion.

The story is awesome, gameplay is top notch just like any other DMC game.

Now... The port.. is bad.. It IS playable and you CAN use a controller.
But it is STILL A BETTER PORT THAN DARK SOULS 1 WAS. But people seem to ignore that.

I love this game to bits.
If you do happen to own a Playstation 2, 3 or 4, consider getting the original or HD versions there instead.

EDIT: Yes, I was able to complete it with my keyboard entirely, but I do enjoy it more with a controller. The controller support is good.
