2P Mode Now Available!

2P Mode Now Available!

2 player mode provides an easy way to experience the thrill of Chainman with a friend. Even a friend that perhaps is more reluctant to enjoy the immersion of VR Horror.

Unlike the single player experience, one player aids the other with the use of a helpful drone, controlled through the PC. The other player plays as usual in first-person using the Virtual Reality headset.

· 2 player Local Co-op.
· Player 1 controls a Drone on the PC. Player 2 plays in first-person with the Virtual Reality Headset.
· Locate and repair the generators to activate the door to escape (Only the VR player can repair the generator).
· If the VR player dies, the game is lost.

We hope this mode will enable you to share your love for horror games with those that are usually too afraid to try.

2P Mode will be released Oct.14 morning(LA time)

Sorry I made you wait. The release date of 2P mode has been decided. It will be the morning of October 14 (Los Angeles time).

You can play with confidence even if you are not afraid of scary games. You let your friends wear HMD and you can enjoy comfortably by operating and instructing with confidence on the monitor.

In 2P mode, the survival factor is stronger than the horror element, and it becomes a more action game

Also 2P mode can be played alone in theory, but it is getting very difficult.
If someone can play brilliantly alone, I would like to watch videos.

About This Game

CHAINMAN is a Japanese made VR Survival Horror with strong stealth gameplay.

You awake on an island with your arms restrained in chains as blood curdling groans advance on you. With no way to fight back you must use a combination of light mechanics, and the information left by other survivors to traverse the night and stay hidden from the horror that looms in the darkness.

・ Flares are your only distractions. Crates and barrels your only hiding spots.

・ Each enemy has a varied ability to see and hear you. Be careful not to approach some and weary not to shine light on others.

・ You must acquire certain provisions to advance through the island and escape. Predict the enemy's movement and find a route to safety.

・ It takes 2-3 hours to reach the normal ending.
Play more for an alternate ending.

We plan to update the CHAINMAN experience by the end of September. We will implement a multiplayer mode in which one player uses the pc and the other uses a VR headset.

As we’re a Japanese studio, please help us to create great VR experiences for all audiences, not only the Japanese. Let us know what we need to consider? The do’s the dont’s, the must haves and wants? We greatly value your feedback and hope to hear your constructive comments.
