About This Game

Alien Swarm is a game and Source SDK release from a group of talented designers at Valve who were hired from the Mod community.
Available free of charge, the game thrusts players into an epic bug hunt featuring a unique blend of co-op play and squad-level tactics. With your friends, form a squad of four distinct IAF Marine classes. Plan your attack using an unlockable arsenal of weapons with countless loadout configurations against a wide variety of aliens. Blaze your way through an overrun, off-world colony, eradicating the alien infestation in environments ranging from the icy planet's surface, to a subterranean lava-flooded mining facility.
Along with the game get the complete code base for Alien Swarm that features updates to the Source engine as well as the SDK. Alien Swarm adds 3rd person camera, depth of field, improved dynamic shadows and a wide variety of gameplay additions to the Source engine.

SO much fun playing this with friends. One of the best coop experiences. For free. We ended up playing this so many times already instead of many other games you pay a lot of money for (that got us bored quickly whereas killing aliens with my sniper rifle never gets old). Somehow brings back memories of old school coop games without crappy old school GUI.

Ive only played in practise mode but I was pleasantly surprised how good this is. All I need now is some friends to play coop with. Highly recommend 10/10

Alien Swarm is a top-down shooter. The game has a campaign that can be played in co-op with up to four players. There are four classes available: Officer, Special Weapons, Medic and Tech. Each class has two characters with different stats for one or more of the following: aim, ammo, reload speed, special abilities speed and others.
It's a great short game, also it's free! It takes about 1-2h to finish, there are quite a few difficulty modes and other settings that add a lot of replay value to the game, such as friendly fire dealing more or less damage, and onslaught mode, which brings a high variety of enemies to the beginning of the game to make things more interesting.
Unfortunately not many people play it these days, but I still enjoy it from time to time. So if you are in need of a player, then just ask. I'll be more than happy to join, and I should be able to bring a few friends as well.

SUPER FUN! I always have a really fun time when i play this with my friends we play normal and hard mode. ITS SO FUN! There is a reason this game has had overwhelmingly positive reviews on steam. if you havent played this yet play it! though it's a shame that it was abandoned the game could have had more levels, more weapons and more different kinds of aliens :steamsad::steamsad:
