About This Game

Alien Swarm is a game and Source SDK release from a group of talented designers at Valve who were hired from the Mod community.
Available free of charge, the game thrusts players into an epic bug hunt featuring a unique blend of co-op play and squad-level tactics. With your friends, form a squad of four distinct IAF Marine classes. Plan your attack using an unlockable arsenal of weapons with countless loadout configurations against a wide variety of aliens. Blaze your way through an overrun, off-world colony, eradicating the alien infestation in environments ranging from the icy planet's surface, to a subterranean lava-flooded mining facility.
Along with the game get the complete code base for Alien Swarm that features updates to the Source engine as well as the SDK. Alien Swarm adds 3rd person camera, depth of field, improved dynamic shadows and a wide variety of gameplay additions to the Source engine.

It's a free game, can't really complain about content as there's a couple of hours to play through which was enjoyable with a mate. Would be nice if more was added, I'd happily pay for more content. Overall, a nice, simple and fun game.

This game just makes me love Valve. It's stupid, it's fun, it's free. Not Pay 2 Win, just literally they don't charge anything for it. Why? Because Steam makes them a mint, so they make free games, IDK, and IDC :D

Gameplay is goofy party action, 4 players, like a budget Left for Dead with alien chest burster things. Play it. It's free, you'll flip your ♥♥♥♥ for sure :D

The game of my childhood really. When i started playing this, i was still half a kid. Now i'm all grown up, but i still return to this game from time to time to give dem bugs some bullets and chainsaw into their face.

I love it. Best game ever.

Fantastic free online coop game with increasing levels of difficulty.

Alien Swarm is a top-down shooter. The game has a campaign that can be played in co-op with up to four players. There are four classes available: Officer, Special Weapons, Medic and Tech. Each class has two characters with different stats for one or more of the following: aim, ammo, reload speed, special abilities speed and others.
It's a great short game, also it's free! It takes about 1-2h to finish, there are quite a few difficulty modes and other settings that add a lot of replay value to the game, such as friendly fire dealing more or less damage, and onslaught mode, which brings a high variety of enemies to the beginning of the game to make things more interesting.
Unfortunately not many people play it these days, but I still enjoy it from time to time. So if you are in need of a player, then just ask. I'll be more than happy to join, and I should be able to bring a few friends as well.

Ive only played in practise mode but I was pleasantly surprised how good this is. All I need now is some friends to play coop with. Highly recommend 10/10

I remember playing this 24/7 awhile ago.Its an amazing teamwork isometric game where you cna get upgrades,new tools,and even new guns without any money required.Each role is important so good teamwork usually means you win.
