What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Drunk-Fu: Wasted Masters is still a work in progress and we'd love to get feedback into what direction we should take the game in its final pre-release months.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“With the current scheduling, Drunk-Fu's first official release will be this Summer. The release will be ideally followed by patches adding more game modes, levels & costumes prioritized by the community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final game will have more game modes, levels & characters. Bugs will be crushed, controls will be improved & optimizations done. Steam achievements, hot-joining etc. will be implemented for the final version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is an Online Alpha. The core mechanics are there, but there's a lot of polish & extra content we'd love to add. Steam achievements, hot-joining etc. are not yet implemented.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be sold at a lower price during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“There will be posts on the advancement of the game included with each patch (one every three weeks). We'll be active in the forums and answer to any and all questions & suggestions”

August 1

1st of August: Ringout patch

Two new game modes have been added! In ringout & ringout swarm players have infinite health and to win you must smack your enemies outside of the level.

Go try the patch out & tell us what you think!

New features:
  • Two new game modes
  • New level for the ringout-modes
Tweaks:
  • Aim assist targets middle of player torso instead of head
  • Weaponized poolsticks
  • Optimized physics for online syncing
  • Switched to linear color space for extra prettiness
  • Performance optimization
  • Level playlist support for different game modes
  • Updated engine-version
Known issues:
  • Multiplayer NAT punchthrough is still iffy and work in progress. It uses UPNP, so enabling that for your router will help. We are mapping alternative ports for users that do not want to use UPNP.
  • Whole of UI cannot be navigated with just the gamepad
  • Splash screen stays unresponsive for a while after start - just be patient and it’ll go through
  • Levels, visuals & sounds are a work in progress and some rough edges are to be expected

  • Improved swarm spawn performance
  • Test chamber should not be selected on startup anymore
  • Various minor performance improvements
  • Sound improvements & additions
