What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Drunk-Fu: Wasted Masters is still a work in progress and we'd love to get feedback into what direction we should take the game in its final pre-release months.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“With the current scheduling, Drunk-Fu's first official release will be this Summer. The release will be ideally followed by patches adding more game modes, levels & costumes prioritized by the community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final game will have more game modes, levels & characters. Bugs will be crushed, controls will be improved & optimizations done. Steam achievements, hot-joining etc. will be implemented for the final version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is an Online Alpha. The core mechanics are there, but there's a lot of polish & extra content we'd love to add. Steam achievements, hot-joining etc. are not yet implemented.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be sold at a lower price during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“There will be posts on the advancement of the game included with each patch (one every three weeks). We'll be active in the forums and answer to any and all questions & suggestions”

20th of June 2017: Aerial Combat Patch

The combat in Drunk-Fu: Wasted Masters just got a whole lot better! We added some new moves to make the game easier to approach and clarified when players get dealt damage and when they take it (when they get hit by a glowing fist or a weapon, duh!).

The new Double Jump & Air Dash features greatly improve the maneuverability of the characters and the improved Swarm-mode gives a more enjoyable Single Player experience.

Go try the patch out & tell us what you think!

New features:
  • Midsummer level
  • Double jump
  • Air Dash
  • Ultimate Whirlwind attack
  • Ground Slam
  • New combat sounds
  • Soumiverkkarit

  • Pad handling with greater player amounts should be more reliable
  • Levels polished & iterated
  • Pause menu should work more reliably now
  • End condition is triggered if remaining living players leave the game
  • Removed irrelevant controls & buttons from control maps
  • Improved trails
  • Music is now Stereo
  • Camera behavior optimization
  • Tips to the loading screen now have meaningful content
  • Swarm enemies are despawned on death now
  • Increased Swarm intensity
  • MP kills should be credited correctly now
Known issues:
  • Multiplayer NAT punchthrough is still iffy. Connections through Steam overlay seem to work more reliably than through the matchmaker
  • Whole of UI cannot be navigated with just the gamepad
  • Splash screen stays unresponsive for a while after start - just be patient and it’ll go through
  • Levels, visuals & sounds are a work in progress and some rough edges are to be expected
