About the Game

Critter Crunch is an award winning, arcade-style puzzle game, starring the loveable Biggs. Using his long, sticky tongue to grab critters from vines above, he feeds them to each other until they burst, dropping tasty jewels for him to gobble up. Using Critter Crunch's 'Food Chain' mechanic, players will eat their way through a smorgasbord of levels and gorge on a feast of modes, including Co-op and Versus multiplayer.

Oh, and barf. Rainbow barf!

From the creators of Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery comes one of my favorite puzzle games. It was the first game I bought on Steam and I went in not knowing what to expect. It is the definition of pleasant surprise. I found myself having giggle-ragefits and fistpumping at creating awesome chains. I love everything about it. I love the humor, the art, the diverse mechanics, the puzzles, and its surprising amount of depth. I don't say this often but it's worth it full price. I honestly cannot think of a flaw unless you hate cute things. The story is one you rarely see in a game: You're trying to be a good father named Biggs. Your goal is to keep the island free of cute critters and vomit rainbows into your kid's mouth to keep him fed while a human traveler discovers information about your homeland!

It has online multiplayer capability, single player, and has a leaderboard for people who really wanna challenge themselves and get them combos. The online multiplayer has Co-Op and Versus mode, both very fun to play with friends. The single player mode offers an Adventure, Puzzles, Challenges, and unlockable Survival modes. For one puzzle type, you're given a number of moves to get rid of all the critters. If you deplete those moves and the critters aren't gone, you'll be mobbed by a flurry of adorable creatures. Succeed and you can proceed to more difficult levels.

I enjoyed the crap out of this game and I strongly recommend it to anyone who loves puzzles, cute things, and/or something to sit back and relax to.

I've had this game on PSN for years, and when it came to Steam I bought it again. Really great puzzles and playing VS matches gets really intense and fun. Also, adorable characters and graphics!

A great game for short multiplayer sessions between two friends / a couple. Solo campaign work nicely but the charm lies in the ability to play it with another person.

This game proves that no matter how cute it is..."DAMN NATURE! YOU SCARY!" It's a good game for all ages with funny fun facts. It also guides you along in teaching you the mechanics of the game. A good casual game to have in your library.
