Why Early Access?

“Many of you have been waiting for our game for quite some time now ... We would really want to release it, but at the same time, we really want to propose an awesome shoot'em up experience! This hard to balance situation made us consider Early Access so that we can involve YOU! And it leaves us a bit more time to finish cooking a few things we have in the oven. :)”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Pawarumi will be in Early Access during two to three months. A fairly short one then, but that will be enough for us to finish tweaking everything we planned to make Pawarumi a truly memorable shoot'em up experience!

Most of the features we are planning are actually already implemented on our side. We're just polishing them really nice before releasing them so that your feedback will really be meaningful to us.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will feature better performances overall, the complete story mode, achievements, better audio, the last level of the game, with the final boss and, of course, all the improvements requested by the community that we will have deemed meaningful and possible to implement!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the early access is pretty close to the final experience. However, greatness is in the details, and a shoot'em up requires a lot of attention to detail. The more we tweak the small things, the more you will enjoy the final experience!

Saves might break in part or in full.
The leaderboard may be reset.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price might change.”

Bug tracking
We work a lot to provide you with a bug free experience. The occasions we ran into bugs in the numerous times we showcased the game around the world can be counted on the fingers of only one of us!
But we are a team of only two working full-time on the project. This means that even if we play a lot our own game, we might never run on very specific bugs! Plus, we have become very good at playing Pawarumi and we might not find bugs that are triggered by newcomers to the game. And we need you for that! Oh and if you are better than us, which is truly possible with enough training, you might find other issues. So please help us catch those sneaky bastards!

Level design feedback
As you will see, Pawarumi is not just another shoot'em up. Its game design offers a lot of flexibility to approach the entire game. Because of this, it's pretty much impossible for us to experiment every single way to beat the game. You might create routes that we will never think of! So if you think that we could improve a pattern, a wave of enemies or anything else, please tell us! If it makes the game better for you, it might make the game even better for everyone!

Scoring system balancing
Like every good shoot'em up, Pawarumi has a deep scoring system. In fact, it is so deep that very few people outside the team members experimented with it fully. So it might need some tweaks. If you feel that you've broken the system, report it and you will save everybody's experience!

Translation
We translated the game in 10 different languages! We speak a lot of them, but we might not see typos, too literal translations or weird or funny language mistakes, so please tell us if you find any! Although we might keep wonky stuff if it is funny enough, "All your base are belong to us" is part of the legend today. :)”

Update #1 Linux Support and More!



Hey everyone!

Linux Gamers, we promised, we delivered!
From the beginning of the development of Pawarumi, releasing the game for Linux was on the schedule. Even with its growing community of players, Linux gamers are still often forgotten by the game industry. This is something we couldn’t let happen as we have Linux users in the team at Manufacture 43!

That’s not all folks
Being in early access mean that we listen to your feedback… In fact, saying that we read them will be more accurate. Whether it’s on the Steam forums, our Discord server or other dedicated forums we thank you for all your valuable feedbacks. They help us make the game better for everyone. Among the things we tweaked, bullet visibility was improved, better sound feedbacks have been added to support the game mechanics and user experience overall has been tweaked to be more satisfying.

Coming up next!
Soonish, the last level of the game will finally be available to the world. This last level has proven to be tougher to create than we first taught it would be. This is mainly because it ended up being a lot more fun and original than what we had planned at first! We are hard at work on it and we promise it will be a true last level, worthy of your training on the first four!

About This Game

IN A WORLD where the Council rules the nations with an iron fist, you play as Axo, pilot of the legendary ship Chukaru. Experience her fight with the limitless armies of the Council, become the master of Chukaru’s power and find the true meaning behind all your actions. A dark secret is yet to be revealed!


Accessible to the simple press of a button, Pawarumi offers you three different weapons and one super attack to rain divine fire on your enemies! To protect you in your intense journey, a shield will automatically trigger when you're about to be hit. It will annihilate any bullet around you! True to the shoot'em up genre, that shield is powerful but depletes very quickly so you'll still have to be very careful!

THE TRINITY MECHANIC


By shooting with the right weapon on the right type of enemy, Chukaru's unique Trinity Mechanic enables you to deal extra damage, heal your shield or recharge your super attack at any time! Not unlike the famous game of rock-paper-scissors, this original gameplay mechanic gives a whole new tactical layer to the genre.
