About This Game

Thrillville™: Off the Rails lives up to its name with 20 death-defying rides so outrageous, they inspire the same word from every park visitor who sees them: “WHOA!” Players build these incredible “WHOA Coasters” to leap from one track to another, launch through the air like cannonballs, blast through a burning ring of fire and more.
But the new fun doesn’t stop there. Off the Rails features 34 playable multiplayer minigames, 15 all-new theme areas, over 40 thrill rides, a new story that ties together more than 100 missions, and social interaction with park guests that’s better than ever. The in-depth conversations both advance the plot and suggest better ways to manage the park. But is every guest to be trusted?
  • Experience the visceral fun of interacting with a theme park you create.
  • Build and ride your own creations, talk and joke with all your guests, and play dozens of minigames.
  • Visit 15 themed areas, like Battleville, Winterville, Spaceville and Aeroville, all spread throughout five new parks.
  • Create 20 death-defying WHOA Coasters such as:
    • Hotrod Stunt - A nitro boost propels a car across a broken track.
    • Pendulizer - A giant arm grabs the car just before a gap in the track, whips it around in a full circle, then sets it down on the other side.
    • Escape Drop - The track holds the car stationary as it lifts itself from level ground to a full 90-degree drop. Then it lets go.
  • Distinguish your rides even more with enhanced customization options. Attach animatronics, flowers and flaming hoops to all of your coasters and rides.
  • Play 34 minigames – 14 new, 20 returning from the original Thrillville but with new levels.

System Requirements

I wish the original Thrillville was available for steam but the sequel is just as good. You basically build themeparks, eack park has three different themes to choose from, there are also mini games and side missions and of course building rollarcoasters. Its not as detailed as RTC or anything but that actually plays to the games strengths and you never get bored since there are plenty of other things to do besides build. I loves the original for PS2 but the PC port of the sequel works very well.

Thrillville: OTR is pretty good but not that bad

PROS:
The roller coaster creator is easy to use
Tons of mini-games
The ability to interact with park guests
Decent Graphics

CONS:
Awkward Camera
Some of the mini-games have poo controls
Random Crashes
The background music grows stale and annoying rather quickly

7/10
Would make a 70 dollar roller coaster again

Ahh. Used to love this game when I was younger. It brings back so many memories.

This PC port isn't so bad either. It runs really well for the most part, and is optimized pretty decently. The only issue I have with it is that there's no way to play the game windowed.

Aside from that, it's a decent port. I can recommend this game if you liked games such as Rollercaster Tycoon and other games. It even has plenty of mini games to try out.

Great game for all ages, you manage a theme park that people will love! Create coasters, race tracks, and water rides. Build rides, paint almost anything, play games, and help nerds get laid. The only down side to this game is the graphics. They are disgusting for 2007. Also, you will proably need to change the compatibilty for your OS to Windows 2000. Over, this game is a lot of fun!

Was a bit of a console peasant to the game back then. I'm not like that anymore ever since getting it on Steam, but hey. This is like Rollercoaster Tycoon, but with some elements added in. Like talking to your guests and playing many kinds of minigames like Stunt rider. Sadly, space is limited in this game.

I remember this game way back in the day and it was one of my faves. Going back to it now it hasnt aged to well but is still a decent and simple game to playthrough for the sake of nostalgia.

No idea what I'm playing lol. Just a kids game with rollercoasters and amusement vendors. No onder why you took it off the console so quickly. Sorry but nobody here, including me likes such a game. Maybe kids do but i don't the game itself is a ripoff of most amusement park games and has no interest for me.

Would recommend this if you're into tycoons or sandbox sorts of games. It's very interactive as you can talk to the visitors of your park (Even flirt!!). And there is so many missions, five different parks with 3 different sections in each, it's crazy!

I can understand why I spent so much of my childhood playing this on the PS2, what a classic!

Played this game back in 2007 as a kid on xbox 360 where i had a lot of memories from this game, just realised it is on steam and instantly bought it. Glad the game runs well and looks awesome in 1080p compared to my old 360 graphics.

11/10 would kill park visitors again

I bought this game for nostalgia purposes. Me and my sister use to play this game on xbox before, we played all minigames and stuff and it really was fun, tried playing it again and still had fun. Would recommend it for players who have played it before. 10/10

A very fun game. Especially great if you played it on PS2 a while back when it came out. Not as fun these days, but I find myself playing it longer than I thought I would.

Pros:
-The rollercoaster building system is great, kind of weird at first, but if using a controller, it becomes easier.
-Since it's a PS2 game, there's nothing to buy, no DLC. Everything's included. The arcade games could be full games with a little modifying. They're not just thrown in, they're nicely thought out, and they're fun. One's even a 3D flying game, with great controls.
-Can talk to guests.
-Custom rollercoasters.
-Run around your park in third person.
-Interesting parks

Cons:
-Power Meter gets annoying.
-INVERT CAMERA MEANS THAT IN THE FLYING GAME, YOU HAVE UNIVERTED CONTROLS ON THE LEFT STICK. WHY.
-No decorating like RCT.
-Can have only one of each arcade game, but that's fine because of the power meter annoyance.
-No landscaping like RCT.
-Customization could be better, but it was a PS2 game, though the PC version -could- have been upgraded in some way. Though, looking at the date of the game, I really can't blame it too much. What could have been added to make it better? Not anything I can think of without changing the game entirely.
-No tunnels for rollercoasters.
-Only building in predetermined areas.

Overall:
A fun game with not much in the way of you and having fun. Even though I said there were all these flaws, it's fun. And they're only really "flaws" because I'm used to RCT.

I remeber playing this on my ps2 when i was a little boy. The good times i had on the original Thril ville but i always wanted off the rails but never got the chance to have it so i found it on steam. Bought it. Then connected my PS3 Controler and played it like it was a PS2. Aww the memories.

you can make every coaster super expensive, make every coaster absolutely broken and terrible, insult and ♥♥♥♥ off every single person you come across, place absolutely nothing but ice cream stalls in every park without even a single bathroom, and make every building bright eye blinding neon pink. 10/10

After playing this and the first Thrillville on my PSP, seeing this on the Steam store brought a wave of childhood memories. Buying this game will be one of the greatest decisions of your life. You can engage in conversations with anyone in the park and can even have relationships. The coaster building and park management mechanics are also very well done.

What's sad is that the minigames are better than some of the crap on the steam store nowadays. @-@

+
-Simple, easy and fun for any audience.
-Colourful graphics
-Social interaction is cool
-Decent minigames
-Fun (perhaps a little chessy) music to match the feeling of the game

-
-Not very challenging
-Limited amount of space for building

That's all I can think of. I played this game forever seven years ago. :D

Tl;dr: Buy if you want a fun, simple theme park sim. Don't if you want a challenge.

This game , IN MY OPINION, is BETTER than rollercoaster tycoon, With Nostalgia, it brings social Intercation, Cool Rides, a Wacky Scientist named Mortimer who looks like the guy from back to the Future, and overall, the best thing is the park itself, or PARKS, with an s, YUP, there are a total of 5 dif. Parks to play all with 3 areas with totally different genres. the 5 parks are, Thrillville Stunts, the Starter park based on action (duh),Which contains the areas Throttleville, Battleville, and Saddleville (cowboys). then there is Thrillville Explorer, which contains Relicville, Summitville, and Scurvyville ( WOO PIRATES!!!!!). then Thrillville Other worlds, with Uragiville,Astroville, and Oceanville. Thrillville Giants is next, with Candyville,LawnVille, and Casaville. FINALLY there is Thrillville Holidays, with Fallville, Winterville, and Summerville. the only downside is that it is kinda short.
