What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Our main objective in Tanki X development is the satisfaction of our players. Unlike other tank action games, our project does not pretend to have realistic military or battle elements, and can’t be called a simulator. We want our audience to experience the same joy that we’ve experienced playing the tank arcades on consoles, back in the 90’s.

Our main vector of development is that the battles must be fast, saturated, and unordinary. We understand that we will need to collaborate closely with our players in order to reach this goal. Of course, we have a lot of ideas ourselves, but every one of them will be subject to a decision within our community.

Therefore, we’re inviting you to join the Tanki X community and help us make a stunning tank action game that goes beyond its genre!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is planned to be released by the end of 2017.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The released game will include more features which will significantly change the gameplay, adding fun and depth to it, as well as providing comfortable conditions for the players, by fixing bugs and optimizing the game.

Here is a list of things that we’re planning to have in the released version of the game:
  • Team lobby
  • Ranked matches
  • Clans
  • New game mode
  • New modules
  • New maps with interactive elements
  • More skins for hulls and turrets
  • Stickers on tanks
  • Avatars
  • Fixed bugs and physics errors
  • Server and client optimization

And we are not planning on stopping. The game will continuously improve and new features will be added, and with every update, new ideas will be born, some will inspire new features, others will improve the old ones.

The community is an inexhaustible source of ideas. We are sure that thanks to your feedback and suggestions, we will always find something to add or to improve.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current condition of Tanki X gives the player the exact feel of the fast driven battles on futuristic tanks.

  • You can choose to battle in one of the 3 available game modes (DM, TDM, CTF) on 9 maps of different design and size.
  • Our servers handle several thousand simultaneously playing users.
  • The tanks are assembled with the help of 11 different turrets, 7 different hulls and more than 10 modules with different mechanics.
  • The appearance of the tank can be customized with more than 50 skins, 50 paints, and 13 ammunition effects.
  • The equipment is balanced (the balance is adjusted with every update release)
  • New updates are implemented every week
  • New and unique content on every major celebration event.

In time we will add new game features such as ranked games and clans, which are meant to give the game more depth and meaning, but you can already get familiar with the basics of the game and form an opinion about the project.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, after the release, Tanki X will remain a free to play game.

Besides that, all your in-game progress and purchase history will be saved through the release of the game. We won’t reset or roll back your ranks, not your equipment upgrades, and the composition of your garage will remain intact.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Tanki X is an unusual representative of the tank action game genre, but we believe that its unusualness defines its uniqueness and that will allow it to take a good spot on the market and attract a wide audience.

We very much rely on the kind of users that will immediately get interested in the concept of our game, its core gameplay or its visual style. We’re hoping that they will be the first to install the game and help us figure out what exactly in our game triggers the fun and satisfaction of our player, and what does the opposite. Having determined the tastes and the needs of our players will help us define the future of our project’s development, set priorities and increase our chances for success.

This is the reason why we’re asking for feedback on every released update, and regularly ask our community to take various surveys, both major and minor studies on various game-related topics.”

Patch Notes 16.11.2017 - Matchmaking Ranges

Greetings, tankers!

Matchmaking ranges

We released an update this morning, in which we've changed the reputation points ranges according to which players are matched in ranked and quick battles:
  • 0-170
  • 140-300
  • 150-550
  • 450-850
  • 650-999999
We continue working and testing the matchmaking system along with the rating system, gradually increasing the number of online players. Because there aren't so many players with high reputation points playing the game, we've increased the reputation points ranges in the upper side of the ranking ladder, while in the lower side, we've made it so that these different ranges intercross each other more often. The system will initially try to match players with a very close reputation points indicator, however, in case the system won't be able to find such players, it will look in the in the pool of players that are in the rating intercross area.

The Deathmatch mode and the Space battles have one common range, except for the newbies, who are matched with players with under 170 reputation points. We're looking for ways to change the format of these modes, in order to make them more popular.

Other changes:
  • We updated the text in the X-crystals section of our in-game store. It should now be clearer.
  • We've added bots to the initial few levels of the Bronze league. We're testing different settings and behaviors of bots, in order to improve their work.
  • Players to have lost upgrades levels of their mine module, due to a bug in the tutorial, have been compensated with a nice bonus of +1 upgrade.

Whatever the update is, please, discuss it constructively.

“Tanki X is an awesome ride, with super responsive controls, smooth framerates, bombastic explosions and fun gameplay.”
Alpha Beta Gamer

“From the entire variety of well-made tank action games, Tanki X is the only one that has tanks jumping from platforms and become invisible.”

“I went in thinking that I’m going to play a few matches but ended up playing for two straight hours before exiting the game. The 15 minutes long matches are fully action packed with shooting, tactics, and all sorts of other tricks.”

About This Game

Tanki X is a multiplayer tank-action game that proves that there’s more to tanks than just thick shells and firepower… Strap on your seatbelt because you’re in for some serious adrenaline!

You decide what your tank will look like and how it will behave in battle. Choose from 11 turrets, all with different ranges, firing rates, and unique features such as repair nanobots for healing allies, bullets that bounce off walls to reach hidden enemies, and lots more. There’s even a turret that sprays enemies with a blast of ice to slow them down to a crawl.

Mount your weapon of choice on one of seven hulls of different shapes and size, all of which feel and handle differently. Wasp is renowned for its high speed and nimbleness, which makes it great for jumping off platforms and spinning around your target. On the flipside, Mammoth is a veritable fortress that will take lots of firepower to bring down.

Customization doesn’t stop at choosing turret, hull and paint job. In fact, each hull features five slots where you can install “Modules”. These Modules give you active and passive abilities that allow you to customize your gameplay for specific roles. You’ll be able to turn invisible, drop Spider Mines that will track down and kill your enemies, and lots of other cool and deadly functions.

There are 3 game modes in Tanki X. In “Capture the Flag” and “Team Deathmatch” you will need to rely on teamwork, tactics and cunning to get the upper hand. Then there’s the classic Deathmatch, where it’s everyone against everybody else — always fun. There are also 9 maps offering different backdrops, layouts and tactical challenges.

Earn crystals in battle to upgrade your equipment, remain competitive, and customize your tank further with aesthetic items such as paints, skins and colored projectiles.
