One of the best Star Wars games ever made. I would recommend to all who wish to experience the Clone Wars "First Hand".
Official Multiplayer Servers are down but the AI is still very fun to play with, and aren't naive either. 11/10

For those who can't play on Windows 10:

Go to your Steam Library
Right Click on Star Wars Battlefront II
Click "Properties"
Click on the "Local Files" tab
Click "Browse Local Files"
Click "GameData"
Right Click on "BattlefrontII"
Click "Properties"
Click on the Compatibility Tab
Check the box under "Compatibility Mode"
Select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" in the Scroll Box
Apply and launch the game.

A game years ahead of it's time, Star Wars Battlefront 2 deserves no explanation. It's gameplay, it's interactive story, it's variety of modes and Jedi Heroes have all but boosted the game into stardom. I remember playing this back on the old PS2 so many years ago and even now, it never fails to entertain me. It is one, if not the best Star Wars games to date and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a Star Wars fan or a FPS fan. The graphics maybe out of date, but everything else that this game has to offer blows that all away. It has something for everyone and it's worth the $10.

10/10
Pros:
Excellent Gameplay
Well Thought out Mechanics
Good Variety of Maps

This is more than just nostalgia for me. I still think this is an amazing game and I play it frequently. It can be a bit hard to get to work on windows 10, and that's the only thing that would make me advise against buying it (plugging in a microphone on my pc fixed it if that helps anyone).

I got this to work on windows 10 by plugging in the mic. That was literally it.
I spent so many Saturday nights with this game on PS2.
WARNING:After playing this campaign, you WILL suddenly have a newfound appreciation for stormtroopers and you WILL feel sad every time you watch Star Wars and see the Death Star getting blown up.

*SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR EA*

Lord Vader finds your lack of competence...disturbing...

10/10 would "squash the scum" again.

A good old game, that takes u back to the old days where u played it on ps2. It's kind of sad that they shut down "Multiplayer". But no excuse for not playing with a second program called "GameRanger".

Over the decades so many star wars shooters/action games have come out that i have honestly lost track of all of them..really, on the whole they blur together like the identical legionaries of rome total war or slightly more accuratley the endless procession on transformers movies and in that vas ever growing ocean of same-ness, uninspired fraudulent copycats and zombified story telling there is a slightly less zomby esque gem free to embrace indviduality filled with uniqeness.

Glowing adulation aside Star Wars battlefront 2 the sucessor ((although in my opiniion sucessor in name and not much else)) to the similarly named orgional takes the lessons learned by the first game and nearly throws them out of the window, no longer does the game play like a star wars themed call of duty rip off, no longer do are you constricted to narrow missions and goals, you can play a capmiagn of which theres one for every section of major star wars lore at the time this game came out in adition to the matching scenarios for Battlefront 2's most advertised (( at the time )) galactic conquest..and thats its by the way simply saying galactic conquest sums up what you need to know about that game mode because it is literally nothing but dragging army and fleet icons around and fighting zoomed in empire at war style.

But in the end nearly no other shoooter and certainltn not a star wars shooter gives you the ability to play as a ground soildier or hero in a army assaulting a planets strongpoint, battlefron 2 will give you something however shallow at times that is uniuqe in the world of star wars shooters and still special in the world of gaming, catch it on any kin dof sale and you will be getting more than your moneys worth, buy it at full price and at least you will be getting what you paid for in full.

Star wars battlefront 2:

Amazing maps.
Cool troops and heros you can play as.
Being a Ewok and trolling stormtroopers. XD
Galactic conquest.
A working multiplayer system from start to end.
CLONES!!!
And DROIDS LOTS OF DROIDS!!!
A awsome campain.
A fun single player mode.
Good voice actors.
Very fun space battles.
And very easy and good controlls.

Star wars battlefront EA

No campain. WHY!?
You can only play as the Empire or Rebels.
No space battles.
Hard to learn vechicle controlls.
Very glitchy. (Hopfully just for now)
Can't be a Ewok. NOOOOOOOOO!!!
No galactic conquest.
Not so fun single player mode.
50% working multiplayer.
Only 6 heros and villains.
Small amount of maps.
Kind of bad audio.
And no clone wars era.

Star wars battlefront EA: 4/10 for now.

Star wars battlefront 2 9.9/10

Would scrape some droids as a clone again.

Pros:
- Good-looking
- Tight controls
- Optional 1st or 3rd person view
- Very fun game play
- Original Star Wars soundtrack
- Epic fights on huge fronts
- Galactic Conquest
- Instant action playlists

Cons:
- No multiplayer support* (uses gamespy)
- Campaign lacks replayability
- No steam achievements

*There are 3rd-party applications which can allow multiplayer. I personally use GameRanger, which works great.

Summary
This game is a marvelous experience. The battles are massive, so you never feel like you're carrying your team when you put effort into a battle. Strategy and non-strategy are both viable ways of winning a game. It is unfortunate that it uses gamespy, however, because the game is no longer supported since it shut down. Achievements would provide some much-needed replay ability. Overall, though, one of the best games in my library by a long shot.
