Returned my DICE copy of Battlefie- er front. I wish that EA had not become the monster that controls the gaming world. I wish we could go back in time when you would buy an entire game upfront for one price. Or when you could play alone and escape the competitive moshpit of DICE/CoD games.

My heart was broken when I played BattlefieldDICE... Like when my dog died but with more anger and resentment, even a little depression cause I'm passionate about the gaming life and it seems that only corruption remains in the industry. How do we get people to pay us more for our game? If i wanted graphics I would watch a movie.

BF2 is the last battlefront ever made in my eyes. It's a good game made by people who really put love into the game and considered what other people might think is fun. Pandemic Studios was defunct by EA in 2009 and I will never forget or forgive that mistake.

I think the most efficient way to review this would be a non (slightly) biased comparison of this Battlefront (Lucas Arts / L.A) with EA's new Battlefront.

-GAMEPLAY
L.A take the lead with this one. Pretty easily to be honest. Much more game modes, maps, factions etc.. 1-0, to L.A.

-GRAPHICS
What do you expect. L.A's is 10 years old. 10 YEARS OLD. 1-1.

-REPLAYABILITY
While EA's multiplayer leveling system offer some replayability, L.A's wider range, and much larger density, of content give L.A the point. Also, and i will refer to this quite a bit, not everyone likes multiplayer. 2-1 to L.A.

-SINGLEPLAYER
EA doesn't really know how to create a good singleplayer. At all. In fact, it seems they've given up on the idea altogether. Rest in peace EA - post Battlefield 2 / Bad Company. The lack of singleplayer is a negative point for EA, and L.A's extremely well done singleplayer, including a campaign, critically acclaimed Galactic conquest, and instant action give L.A a well-deserved point. 3-0

-MULTIPLAYER
EA get a point by default, as L.A's multiplayer was decommisioned a while back. While i deducted a point from EA for not having a singleplayer, i will not do so with L.A for the lack of multiplayer as, a) there was once upon a time, and b) the expansive singleplayer more than makes up for it. There are dozens of singleplayer only games and L.A's Battlefront is one of the best. 3-1 to L.A.

-MOD SUPPORT
Time has been of L.A's side, with multitudes of mods being released, a lot of them can be considered as unofficial expansions. A conversion pack has been developed, adding the favourite instant action maps from L.A's 1st Battlefront. Who doesn't like free additional content. 4-1 to L.A.

-PRICE
L.A's Battlefront is $15 on steam (I got my copy on special for $5). Fair enough for an old game. EA's is around $80. L.A's has a LOT more content, + mods such as the conversion pack. 1/5 of the price for (in my opinion) a much better game. 5-1.

-ACCESSABILITY
I can run L.A's Battlefront with 128 bots, maxed settings, easily over 60 fps, on my laptop. While L.A's Battlefront is only available on steam, Xbox + Xbox 360, and PS2, EA's is only available on the newer platforms (so tough luck for fellow laptop users). Also, for console users, EA's is multiplayer only (effectively) so hooray for online costs. Close battle, but point to L.A. 6-1.

OVERRALL
If this was a football match, L.A's Battlefront would be Barcelona, and EA's would be Norwich. EA has yet again disappointed with its money-mongering and lack of singleplayer ability. I'm pretty sure EA have just produced the 1st clickbait-like game, not sure why they didn't call it Battlefield: Star Wars and save the royalty costs. Congrats to L.A's Battlefront for beating a game 10 years newer,
