I want my money back! Won't work with my AMD Radeon R390x graphics card. It was wonky at first shjowing disclolored graphics, so I updated my drivers. Now the game crashes everytime I try to play a game. It won't let me close it, and worst yet, it messes with my display so much that I can't even end it using task manager because my cursor vanishes on certain parts of my screen making me have to restart my PC. I wouldn't even be able to play online if it actually didn't crash because it won't find any servers. If you are lucky enough to have hardware that works for this game, great! I'll stick to playing this game on PS2. The graphics may be sub par, but at least I know it won't break my expensive gaming PC. 0/10.

This game is amazing (you can tell from the time played with me), even with playing against the computer. Put it on elite, crank up the bot amount to the max, play on the Death Star and watch as the hallways fill up with enemies. I loved it when the servers were up but even though they are taken down this is an amazing game. I love the facts that it records your kill amount and ranking with each class as well as the awards you earn in a battle. Just buy it. For $10 you get a game you can play countless amounts of times and still enjoy.

Star Wars Battlefront EA (2015)

EA went backwards, not forward.

1/6 the price, triple the content, mods, single player, campaign, instant action, galatic conquest.
One of the greatest games out there and even now the gameplay holds up. Graphically improved with mods there's barely anything to complain about. One of the best games I've ever played.

I fist played this game at a friends house, I really enjoyed it so I bought it for the xBox. Then I saw it on here and was like, "eh what the heck I'll buy it" so I bought it, started it up and found that it was even better than the console editions!
pros:
+don't need a good computer
+fun campaign that has story unlike the early CoD's
+instant action

cons:
-bad graphics compared to the ones this day and age
-gets very easy after a while
all in all: 7/10
for Star Wars fan: 100/10

Alright, since a friend of mine named Mo019 (who now goes by the names of countries and obscure historical references) has been making lots of game reviews lately, I'd thought I'd get my thoughts off of a couple of my own games as well.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is the third-person-shooter sequel to Star Wars Battlefront, releasing for Xbox, PS2, and PC. In almost every way, this game heavily improves from it's older brother, at bpth gameplay, and keeping up the legacy of the Star Wars franchise.

From a gameplay standpoint, Battlefront 2 is basically what you'd expect if you've ever played the first game. It's chaotic, and fun as hell. You can select from new maps from both the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy. Each faction has at least 6 different classes, the first four always making up a infantry, heavy, sniper, and engineer class. The last two are unique to that faction. Such as the CIS having thier frustratingly powerful Droideka units, or the Rebel Alliance having incredibly powerful Wookie warriors at thier disposal.

The game also has new gametypes besides your average deathmatch mode, unlike the first game. There's Capture The Flag, which can either compose of having to take the opponents flag, or both teams competing over one neutral flag. A major change to the gameplay department was the inclusion of "Heroes". Main Star Wars characters, both new and old. You can play as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Darth Vader, and Han Solo for example. These characters are much more powerful than normal units, as thier weapons can usually kill a normal grunt in about one hit. Two or four if lucky. The Jedi characters are handled nicely, as while they are powerful with thier lightsabers and all, all it takes is a smart soldier to take them off guard and have the killing blow.

Hero characters become available after a player has kicked enough ♥♥♥ in the game, but sometimes, becoming a hero isn't always nesscesary for every situation, such as being in the middle of a firefight.

Space Battles are also a brand-new feature. Simply put, two fleets are put against each other over space, or another planet/moon. CTF returns here, as you have to capture a barrel in space and take it back to your base. Assault is pretty much Conquest in space, where you have to destroy the enemy fleet by destroying communications, engines, life support, etc. It's pretty cool, and a nice innovative mode to an already good game.

From the story perspective, this Battlefront is far more narrative-driven than it's predecessor. It focuses on a retired Clone Trooper veteran, who has seen both the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War. You play through the events of the Clone Wars, mainly battles seen for barely a minute in Episode 3, which go in depth at the lore behind what the Jedi were doing, and have all the events seen from a soldiers' perspective. I liked it. The missions always had something new to mix things up, such as the Acklay, giant reptilian monsters wiping out your unit, or having the Empire destroy Kamino, leading to a Clone/Stormtrooper schism.

However, this abruptly ends when you complete the Battle Of Hoth. Probably since the developers didn't want to have the 501st get thier asses kicked on Endor or something. Still, I wish they could've gone more in depth into the story.

Galactic Conquest also returns, but now has much more depth than last time. You can buy upgrades for your troops, and purchase more units from the credits you gain as you conquer planets across the galaxy. I never really was too interested in Galactic Conquest, but it's good to see it return, back and better.

Time to adress my problems with the game. Nothing is perfect, and Battlefront 2 has some things removed that I'd prefer they kept. Classic maps such as the Bespin Duo, Tatooine: Dune Sea, Yavin 4: Arena, Naboo, Plains, and more are not present in this game, which kind of sucked really. These were enjoyable maps, and it sucks to see them cut out of this game. Newer maps like Poliss Massa, and Dagobah just really don't cut it. I never liked any of those maps that much.

Something else strange was how little things kind of annoy me. The 501st were never really involved at Utapau, Felucia, or Mygeeto. While the story wraps around this well, could it really have been that hard just to re-texture all the clones too look like thier respective units? Like 212th for Utapau. It could'nt have been that hard.
Air-Vehicles are restricted to space battles now, which kind of removes from the fun factor of bombing your enemies below with and air-strike.

Besides that, that's all I really have to say. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is my personal favourite Star Wars game, and one of the best games I've ever played.

Star Wars: Battlefront II is a 2005 first- and third-person shooter video game based on the Star Wars film franchise. Developed by Pandemic Studios and published by LucasArts it is a sequel to 2004's Star Wars: Battlefront and the second game in the Battlefront series. The game features new vehicles, characters, game mechanics, maps, and missions compared to the original Battlefront. Unlike its predecessor, Battlefront II features a more narrative-based campaign, retelling portions of the Star Wars story from the point of view of a veteran Imperial stormtrooper, reminiscing about his tour of duty in service of both the Galactic Republic and as part of the Galactic Empire. Gameplay additions over Battlefront include the use of Jedi, additional game modes such as hero assault, and objective-based space battles.

The general objective in most missions is to eliminate the enemy faction. Like Star Wars Battlefront, the game is split into two eras, the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War. You have the ability to choose between six classes during gameplay. Four class types are common to all factions; infantry, heavy weapon, sniper and engineer. In addition to the four standard classes, each faction has two unique classes which unlock by scoring a predetermined number of points. For the Rebellion faction, the Bothan Spy and the Wookiee; for the Empire, The Officer and The Dark Trooper; for the Republic, the Commander and the Jet Trooper; and for the CIS, the Magnaguard and the Droideka.

Battlefront II contains only one campaign, called Rise of the Empire. This set of missions is presented as the narration of a veteran of the 501st Legion, known as Vader's Fist, beginning with an attack on the planet Mygeeto during the Clone Wars and ending with the assault on Hoth as depicted in The Empire Strikes Back. There are a total of 18 missions, four of which are optional space missions.

Overall I would give STAR WARS Battlefront II a score of 8/10, it is a fun and entertaining game that doesn't have very much problems and the instant action with the bots is just awesome. Having played DICE's new STAR WARS Battlefront, I decided to go back and try the originals and I realized how much better they were, no customization and ranks, just pure fun. So if you're looking for a fun STAR WARS game I would recommend this as it just beats any other!.
