I remember playing this game when I was very young. Some of my fondest memories were me trying to beat the Geonosis section for the first time, and dying over and over again because of those elite Geonotians picking me and my squadmates off one by one. Now, looking at this game through older eyes, and playing it all the way through, I can tell you that it is one of the best $10 I've ever spent.
In case you haven't heard of this game before, it takes place in the events of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. You are part of Delta Squad, an elite group of four clones that are given tasks normally to covert or dangerous for normal clone troopers. You'll have to use your diverse arsenal, as well as team tactics to complete the tasks that are given to you.

PROS:
-Very nice visuals, that still hold up well after eleven years
-Solid voice acting all around, really fleshed out and loveable characters
-Excellent story, probably the best story of any of the prequel movies/games
-Combat is polished and exhilarating to play. Plenty of versatile tactical options
-Runs well on pretty much any competent PC; mine ran it at the highest settings at 60fps throughout
-Amazing soundtrack that combines John Williams' classic score with new and incredible music by Jesse Harlin

CONS:
-Some optimization issues for new hardware. In menus, the mouse sensitivity is waaaay too high to use, so you'll have to use arrow keys to navigate menus. Larger resolutions aren't present, so if you have a big screen, the game may look a little pixelated.
-I had one game-breaking bug. Delta 62 wouldn't move out of a corner, so I had to load my last save. That fixed the problem, but still annoying.
-Very abrupt ending in my opinion
-Game is kinda short (about 10 hours), but considering you're only paying $10 for it, I guess it's fine
-May be harder for new players. Even I, admittedly, had to swith the difficulty to Easy for a couple of nightmarishly hard sections
-No sequel. );

FINAL STATEMENT:
This game is by far the best singleplayer Star Wars game ever made. It's best quality is just how polished everything is, from it's grim and somber take on the Clone Wars, to the magnificent, tough-as-nails tactical combat. The beautiful soundtrack, the fantastic voice work, and the great graphics help suck you into the game even more. And by the end of it, you'll want more (even though EA and Disney will never give us any more). Sure, the passage of eleven years has given it a couple technical hiccups, but they pale in comparison to the rest of the game.

when i was 9 years old i saw this game while browsing on youtube and i really wanted to play it but i didnt have a steam account so i couldnt really figure out how to play it, a few months ago i saw the game on sale and i decided to buy it just for the nostalgic childhood moments. I didnt expect the game to be fantastic, just a standard game with bad graphics because it was developed in 2005. But when i played the game i was really surprised, i didn't expect the game to be so good, when you look at it; the graphics are actually very good for a 2005 game, the story is amazing and the gameplay is very enjoyable. Because of the variety of different weapons there are options of playstyles for each individual person. and the ability to remotely control your teammates is very nice too, i just wish there was a sequel or a remake kind of thing, i would be very happy to see this game remade with modern day technology.

Pretty damn good game I'd say myself for just under 10 hours of campaign gameplay! I love how it starts on Geonosis at the beginning of the Clone Wars in the 2nd movie, "Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones" and ends around the time of the Separatist Invasion of the Wookie homeworld Kashyyyk in the 3rd movie, "Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith". It is an awesome and excellent First-Person Shooter game for being made in 2005!

I liked this game, and keep wondering why there isn't a sequel out given *spoilers* *spoilers* *more spoilers*. I'm hardly a fan of the Star Wars prequels, but the characters and plot are interesting and solid. I especially love the first half of chapter 2, with its "haunted house" feel. I can even get over the fact that Scorch is voiced by Raphael Sbarge (that guy who will forever be Carth Onasi to me and who only has one acting style), given that all the squad's personalities are both clearly defined and show development across the plot-arc. For instance, I love how Fixer is incredibly straitlaced but sometimes the facade cracks, just a little.

I also don't play a whole lot of shooters, but I really enjoyed the feeling of being in charge of a squad that reacts to me without a whole lot of complicated keyboard commands to memorize. In fact, there's only one button to direct every terrain-contextualized action, and that's okay with me! A little odd that the boys will get infinite ammo of whatever type they're using while they're in a terrain position, but hey, Scorch lobbing unlimited grenades is also okay with me. The graphics are also fine for how old it is, and I like the little details like the visor windshield wiper for rain/blood/oil/scratches(!?). It was a little frustrating at times when running low on ammo or health and with no way to get more before having to survive difficult waves of enemies, but that's almost certainly because I'm not very good at shooters. :P

Overall, I really got the feeling that I was part of a team while playing this game, and it was really awesome.

Star Wars: Republic Commando was a great experience for the most part, but it got fairly repetitive after a while. I got VERY tired of how many times I've had to breach a door or kill Droidekas and Super Battle Droids, and It doesn't help how easy this game is. Anything one would consider "challenging" about it is how you run out of ammo in the midst of every other SBD/Droideka/Spider-Droid/Magna-Guard "Ambush". Because of the game's repetitive tendancies, the little length that the game has seems like less of an issue. The game does have it's moments though. For example, I personally found it fun mowing down Battle Droids and Geonosians every once in a while. The game's soundtrack was an enjoyable mix of music from the Prequel Trilogy, a bit of music from the Original Trilogy, and some original music written specifically for this game. Soundtrack aside, the graphics of this game compliment the feel of being in the Star Wars universe as well. Despite all the problems the game has, it still has that charm to it that many other Star Wars games have, so I definately reccomend it

Great Star Wars Shooter.
It has a very good story and the mapdesign is good either. You can still play the multoplayer with Game Ranger, a program to play old games in multiplayer.
