Hotfix 1.03 Now Live!

Hey Vectorheads! Yep, it’s time for another Sprint Vector hotfix--thank you for reporting these issues to us! Please keep the bugs coming through Discord and email (support@survios.com).

Patch Notes for Hotfix 1.0.3 (released February 22, 2018)
  • Voice Chat Improvement – Players should no longer encounter an issue where, on rare occasion, they are unable to communicate with other players using in-game voice chat.
  • Level Load Improvement – Players should no longer load into multiplayer sessions later than intended.
  • Map Layout Changes – Adjusted player damage volumes on certain maps to better line up with level.
  • Oculus Room Scale – Oculus setting should now default to “Room Scale” if the system detects 3 or more cameras.
  • Checkpoint/Finish Line behavior improvement – Players should no longer be teleported backwards to a previous checkpoint during a multiplayer race.
  • Challenge Mode Restart Issue - Challenge - A "Restarting..." message will remain stuck on the screen if a player dies while restarting in Hardcore.
Additionally, here are the known issues that we are currently working on:
Known Issues (as of February 22, 2018)
  • AUDIO - On occasion, game audio will not be present after loading into a level.
  • MULTIPLAYER - There is a known issue with multiplayer servers causing players to periodically be disconnected. We are investigating the cause of this instability and intend to release a solution as soon as one is available.
  • MULTIPLAYER - Players will sometimes lose speed lines and aim assist cones after passing through power-up orbs.
  • MULTIPLAYER - Players getting stuck on endless Multiplayer loading screen. Workaround: Pull up your Windows date and time settings to make sure that "Set time automatically" is turned on.
  • OCULUS - Oculus users experience strobe effect on loading screens. Workaround: Turn on "Rift Core 2.0 Beta" found in the Beta tab of Oculus Home settings.

Weekly Challenges: Week 2 Kicks Off Now!

Greetings Vectorheads! With the first weekly challenge on the Termination map out of the way, we figured we'd cut you some slack this time around...

Nah, just kidding. Mr. E is all about hype, so we're throwing you a coin-shaped curveball this week! For our second week, you must navigate The Premiere solo challenge map on Coin Collect mode!

When you've achieved your top time--you must beat a time of 2:20 to qualify (remember, coins add time, so your time should be higher!)--submit your official entry using the form on this blog (we can't link to Google Forms through Steam, apologies for the inconvenience). Entries must be submitted by Sunday, February 25, at 11:59pm PST and are limited to one per player. However, if you put up a better time after you've already submitted, don't fret: you can update your existing submission with it.

Since Mr. Entertainment doesn't want things too complicated, the fastest time each week wins! These challenges are only going to get more difficult as the weeks go by, so consider this your training regimen for the Master League. Good luck, have fun, warm up, and stay hydrated!

What are the Weekly Challenges, and why should you participate? Not only do the Weekly Challenges encourage you to show us what you got on an assortment of maps and game modes, but a victory gives you a shot at participating in Mr. E's Master League, an upcoming community competition where only the speediest survive! On the official Survios Discord--which currently has over 1,200 active members!--you'll also earn exclusive Vectorhead flair and an invite to a private "winner's circle" channel.

About This Game

The most popular game show in the universe is always scouting for stars...and its newest and brightest is YOU!

Hosted by everyone’s favorite robo-personality, Mr. Entertainment, Sprint Vector sends its intrepid contestants running, jumping, climbing, flinging, drifting, and even flying across crazy interdimensional race courses and challenge maps where your speed and finesse are put to the test. These intense head-to-head matches have become the must-see event of the millennium!

Sprint Vector is the ultimate competitive VR game: a multiplayer adrenaline platformer that merges the physical thrill of extreme sports competition with the unhinged energy of a zany game show spectacle. Survios’ innovative Fluid Locomotion System lets you comfortably attain and maintain extreme speeds in VR. Use your entire body to run, jump, drift, zip, climb, fling, shoot, dodge, and fly with intuitive motion controls! Add in a pulsing electronic soundtrack, hilarious running commentary, powerful projectiles and boosts, as well as multiplayer support for up to eight players, and you’ve got a hit show no matter what planet you’re on!

Step into the vector blades of an intergalactic star, rev up, and explode onto Sprint Vector’s colorful landscapes on a variety of races courses and challenge maps. Scale towering pyramids and plunge into alien ruins, leap across giant pits while dodging debilitating blobs of sludge, or survive the trap-riddled roads of an ancient city—but watch out for your fellow sprinters! It’s just one slow mine, nitro, or impulse jump between glory and defeat.

  • Competitive multiplayer matches: Public and private online multiplayer modes pit up to eight players against each other in intense, high-speed races as you vie for a spot on the Global Leaderboards.
  • 12 killer race tracks: 12 complex race courses full of obstacles, shortcuts, and game-changing power-ups make for endless replay value.
  • Nine challenge courses: Take on these diabolical courses designed to test your sprinting prowess to the extreme. Tackle three specific challenges across nine single-player challenge courses with Local and Global Leaderboards.
  • Customizable solo play: Run through courses and learn the ropes at your own pace with customizable solo game settings.
  • Weapons and Power-Ups: What’s a little friendly competition without a bit of self-serving sabotage? Take aim at both the course and your competitors with glove blasts and game-changing power-ups.
  • Eight intergalactic competitors: Choose from eight colorful characters “recruited” from every corner of the galaxy, from notorious Daxx to ethereal Luna to streetwise Hendrix, each with multiple skins.
