kuso is here!

Back on January 15th 2017 I was excited to announce my return to game development and share the debut demo of kuso. Now here we are, 296 days later, with the full game.

I'm very proud of my work on kuso, and I think it's a game that fans of LOVE, speedrunners, retro game enthusiasts, and gamers looking for a short and concise challenge will really enjoy. I hope that you have fun exploring these new hand-crafted levels in this fresh new engine, enjoy this amazing new soundtrack once again composed by James Bennett, and that you enjoy taking control of fiveEight as they make their way towards the light. I wonder how long it'll take for players to find every secret we've sprinkled throughout the game.

I'm so excited to see what comes from our players. Show me your record times, your discoveries, your theories. I want players to post artwork of their interpretations of fiveEight's world on the community hub. I can't wait to see streamed speedruns of players who have mastered the game as well as newcomers picking it up for the first time. I hope you'll come hang out with us in the kuso/LOVE community Discord and become our friends.

If you run into a bug, a problem, or something that seems amiss, make sure to post it in the Bug Report thread on the Steam Forums. We're dedicated to making sure that we fix everything we can.

And this isn't the end of the journey. I have some really fun and exciting plans for post-launch support that I'll be sharing with you again sometime in the near future. I bet you'll all love it.

Kuso is a phrase in Japanese that conveys frustration. I'm so fortunate today to be able to say that that's the furthest thing from how I feel right now.
