About This Game

The world is changing and Tropico is moving with the times - geographical powers rise and fall and the world market is dominated by new players with new demands and offers - and you, as El Presidente, face a whole new set of challenges. If you are to triumph over your naysayers you will need to gain as much support from your people as possible. Your decisions will shape the future of your nation, and more importantly, the size of your off-shore bank account.
Tropico 4 expands on the gameplay of the previous game with new political additions ∼ including more superpowers to negotiate with, along with the ability to elect ministers into power to help get your more controversial policies passed. But remember to keep your friends close and your enemies closer as everyone has an agenda! Your political mettle will be thoroughly tested, as new natural disasters will have the populace clamoring for you and your cabinet to help them recover from some of the worst Mother Nature can dish out.
Tropico 4 also brings a new level of social interaction with the addition of Facebook and Twitter integration. Post comments on Twitter direct from the game and have updates go out when you complete missions or unlock new achievements. You can even take screenshots of your burgeoning island and post your dream creation on your Tropico 4 Facebook page and compare your interactive Dictator Ranking on the online leaderboards.

Key Features:

  • New campaign consisting of 20 missions on 10 new maps.
  • 20 new buildings including Stock Exchange, Shopping mall, Aqua Park and a Mausoleum to El Presidente.
  • Six new interactive disasters including volcanoes, droughts and tornadoes.
  • Council of Ministers – selected citizens to ministerial posts in the government to help push through your more controversial decisions.
  • National Agenda – receive objectives from Tropican factions, foreign geopolitical powers or opportunities relating to current island events such as ongoing disasters.
  • Facebook and Twitter integration.
  • Screenshot gallery – take screenshots of your tropical paradise and share on your Facebook page.
  • Trading system – import and export goods to/from other nations to boost your economy or production.

To be perfectly honest, Tropico 4 isn't a bad game at all, but it's almost exactly identical to Tripoco 3 with the interface changed to be much worse. It's been around the time when relasing a tidalwave of tiny small DLCs became a practice, and the developers clearly made Tropico 4 only to jump on the milk train. Content is 99% identical, graphics 99% identical, new UI that's uncomfortable to use after Tropico 3 because it covers the whole screen instead of being the compact nice little interface we were used to... and even Huanito is gone, who made all the radio streaming forever fun and interesting.

If you have Tropico 3, just skip Tropico 4. If you don't have either, you can get this, but I'd recommend Tropico 3 over it.

A fun and very good city builder, with enough quirks to make it truly stand out. Very easy to pick up and play - this was my first Tropico game, and Im very happy with it.

I got this Tropico 4 from humblebundle.com for free, thank you.

And also i would love to rate this game 8/10, firstable i thought why dont you give a shoot to the game meanwhile the game is free. Then i have tried and played it, and i don't expect that the game is GREAT. Frankly i got it free too.

I enabled free housing after building so many condos to make my people happy and rid my beautiful country from their filthy slums. Bad Idea. The condos remained uninhabited and the ungrateful ♥♥♥♥♥ kept building more slums after I destroyed them, I gave them enough warnings to stop. I had to do what any civilized leader would do.....
I sent hitmen from my army to track each of them down, one by one. The ones who built their slums away from the city got to be deported and jailed elsewhere, whereas those who dared to bring filth into my city were executed. And any uprising that fought against my power would end with severe consequences. I swear to you, I remembered the faces of each one of the rebels and kept note on where they lived and killed them all.

TL;DR

1. Citizens in rage because of lack of food

2. Riot starts

3. They burn down all farms because of it

11/10 seems reasonable

Highly Recommended.

This game is a marvel and has got so many things right and any other City Building game should learn from this game.

It is basically a city building game where people can be really dangerous and you have to care about them. You can't just ignore them develop your city. If you do that the game will be over sooner than you might think.

And the best part? You can choose how you want to play it. You can be honest with the citizens of you city or you can be a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Start a military enforced rule, Slaughter everyone who speaks against you and all that. It's up to you how you want to play it.

It is difficult to keep your people happy and it is even more difficult to stop them from assassinating you. I have played 15 hours/5games so far and 2 times my character was assassinated and 3 times I lost election.

Every time I have tried to be honest and good leader. But still after some time people start getting angry for some thing that you forgot to take care of and soon enough either you are going to die or you'll lose elections.

There is so much depth in this game. It shows me that someone has now turned into a rebel, So, I can actually find him in my city and have him killed by paying the military and they'll make it look like he was killed in an accident.

It looks really good. They have paid close attention to every little detail in this game.

Best game.

Love it!

I am definitely going to try and be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in this game to see how much fun it is to play it like that. Besides, These people don't really like honest work.

:)

Go and get it already.
