Acerca deste jogo

Acorda...

Most horror game developers think that jumpscares are the key feature for horror. It's just jumpscare after jumpscare. You may be worrying/nervous throughout those games but only because you know you're going to get jumpscared. Jumpscares AREN'T scary. They make you p!ss a little bit but that's a natural human reaction. Everything can jumpscare you in real life from a creaky floor to someone just saying something in a quiet place. That's not horror. True horror is this game.

Amnesia: The Dark Decent, although quite outdated, is defenitly the scariest game I have ever played. I've watched loads of horror films and played many scary games but non of them have left me scared sh!tless throughout and after. I only grab a cushion and conseal my face because I'm always expecting a jumpscare. This game, like no others, truely terrified me, during and after. I even got so scared I rushed to the bathroom and nearly threw up. Luckily I didn't. This game left me sick and shaken throughout it and slightly disturbed me with its well written story. Since there are no other humans (that aren't dead or deformed) apart from you, you feel alone and forgotten.

I haven't been this scared since the time I went to the London Dungeons when I was an infant ten years ago. Bravo Frictional Games, bravo.

Competent, Unadulterated Survival-Horror

+ Atmosphere is palpable and relentless
+ The 'insanity' feature is well integrated into the game's environment, and the restrictive nature of needing to stay within a light-source adds a challenging mechanic to one's adventure
+ The little voice-acting present in the game is superb in quality
+ Graphics and textures, though dated, have aged well
+ Level designs are well-planned and make one feel thoroughly immersed
+ Controls are smooth, responsive, and blissfully minimalist
+ The story has multiple endings to choose from, and they differ enough as to be worth seeing
+ The plot is interesting and incredibly well-delivered
+ Pages and mementos are well-worth the effort to obtain, and do well to enrich the experience
+ Supports custom story-quests

- Save for a drive to see the other endings, there is little incentive to replay the main quest
- Plot is advanced through linear exploration and fetch-quests; this does not necessarily detract from the experience, and indeed this was the intended method of gameplay, but gamers uncomfortable with this style may find themselves turning away from the game due to an underlying tedium

"Amnesia: The Dark Descent" is possibly the scariest survival horror game out there. The atmosphere is thick and terrifying, and the scares are horrific and memorable. The gameplay is well crafted, and the story slowly unfolds to disturbing peaks, all of these things making this survival horror classic, a must play. Grab a copy when you can; and enjoy this imaginative, horrific, yet memorable horror masterpiece.
