Warhammer: Treasure of the Old World

The 'Warhammer: Treasure of the Old World' is now available for purchase. With the similar aesthetic spirit shared between the Dota and Warhammer universes, these new additions from the Dota 2 Community will look right at home in the blood-soaked lanes of the battlefield.

As a special bonus, if you pre-purchased Total War: WARHAMMER on Steam prior to May 24, you will also find a special version of this treasure in your Dota 2 Armory that contains visually-unique pre-purchase-only versions of the item sets.

Thank you to all of the Dota 2 Workshop artists who submitted designs for consideration. The number of quality submissions could not be contained within a single treasure, and we hope to add more of these sets in the future.

About This Game

Dota is a competitive game of action and strategy, played both professionally and casually by millions of passionate fans worldwide. Players pick from a pool of over a hundred heroes, forming two teams of five players. Radiant heroes then battle their Dire counterparts to control a gorgeous fantasy landscape, waging campaigns of cunning, stealth, and outright warfare.

Irresistibly colorful on the surface, Dota is a game of infinite depth and complexity. Every hero has an array of skills and abilities that combine with the skills of their allies in unexpected ways, to ensure that no game is ever remotely alike. This is one of the reasons that the Dota phenomenon has continued to grow. Originating as a fan-made Warcraft 3 modification, Dota was an instant underground hit. After coming to Valve, the original community developers have bridged the gap to a more inclusive audience, so that the rest of the world can experience the same core gameplay, but with the level of polish that only Valve can provide.

Get a taste of the game that has enthralled millions.

I really do enjoy this game, a lot. i've played it for quite a while, and if you're looking for a good, solid moba, this is one I recommend pickin' up. Because it's engaging, addictive, and very fun. At first, the amount of stuff you realise you have to learn to be good at this game will seem pretty daunting, cause there's so many items, over 100 characters, and lots of different ways to use them all. But eventually you'll get familiar with all of them, and it only gets better from there. I REALLY enjoyed my first few weeks of this game, like big time. And if you haven't played a moba before, and this happens to be your first one, then I encourage you to try it. Yes, there is a bad reputation surrounding this moba, and pretty much all mobas, but you'll have so much fun at first you won't even care. Besides, it's free, so it can't hurt. But the part of this game that really upsets me about it, is the stupid community. Mobas, or Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, require lots of strategizing, and lots of teamwork. One person making to many bad decisions can make the game much harder for everyone else on the same team. So naturally, teamwork and strategy needs communication. But sadly lot's of people abuse this. People are supposed to be saying things that will help. I know that's vague, so what I mean by help is stuff like suggesting strategies, warning teammates, and asking for help, etc. And mostly, it is used to guide teammates who may need help on some things, like if there is a new player, you can suggest they pick this character, or they buy these items, or helping them out on what to do, and what not to do. Basically communication is there to help out players, or help win the game over all. But people can take this game, way, way WAY too seriously, I mean you may end up getting upset once you start learning more about the game over all, because you'll see players doing things you would have done when you first played this game, and be like; "What the heck is this guy doing?" you'll see players who have less knowledge about the game making mistakes, and flubbin stuff up. Naturally, most people get frustrated at this point, but most of these people make the wrong decision. When these people see someone who is making mistakes constantly, and messing up left and right, instead of helping the player out, and giving them tips to improve, they just get really angry. Now of course you'll run into jerks like these in every game, but they appear far too often in Dota, specifically. You will always, and I mean, alllwaaayyys, have some egotistical jerk in your game once you start leveling up and learning new things, because the game matches you with people who have your same level of experience. It's sadly rare to find only one of these people on your team once you've played for quite a while. They'll either let out their anger in a very blunt and rude manner like this; "you are the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ player I have ever seen, why are you playing this game??? You are actually mentally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" Or, you'll see them express it in a pathetic, and petty passive-aggressive/overly sarcastic manner like this; "jeez, wish I coulda gotten some help there. Now we lost! oh well!" or they just leave outright, no words, nothing. Leaving you and the rest of your team at a severe disadvantage. You can spot them by how early they say; "we lost, good game" or basically admitting defeat before the game even reaches the 10 minute mark. Sometimes it's the five minute mark, somtimes it's after everyone has picked their characters, or even before that. You will ALWAYS have to deal with at the very least, one of these unbelievably obnoxious, egotistical and petty jerks from the moment the game starts. Which will affect the chances of winning more than you think. Because they'll start arguements which will have people yelling more than playing the game, cause mutes which can affect teamwork, and over all, make people care less. Because who cares if you win or lose when you've had a jerk breathing down your neck the entire game? And lots of the time there are some light-hearted people on this game who are here to have fun, they don't care about losing, or winning, or their K/D, or anything, they just wanna have fun, and jerks will make people like that just wanna leave. So over all, I think dota can be fun. Very fun, but after playing for a while, the game will be ruined more, and more, for you and for everyone by the horrible and toxic community. If you have 4 other friends to play this game with, then you won't have to worry about it. But if you're like me, and you're left hoping that the random people you encounter will be decent human beings, then the game will be a lot less fun after a few months of playing. The game itself is good but the people are not, not at all. And in a multiplayer game, that matters.

Dota 2 is one of the most spectacular MOBA games ever. It went through a lot of changes and updates. When I start playing Defence of the Ancient it wasn't that much donation and sets. But what we see now? The amount of sets is too damn high, the creators just makin' money, you can't even define the character by some of it's stuff. Also, sin not to mention the community. It is smth terrible and disgusting, I played only 50 games out of 1100 without trash talking about me and my relatives. Just think about it, is it normal? Dota 2 literally is like narcotic, you should pass a long way to stop playing it. I wasted 1,118.4 hours in the shuffle. It is the biggest regret in my life 'till now. Take thought, does this stupid game worth your own time, money and nerves? I don't think so and that's why I don't recommend this game to any of YOU!

I really love this game, and if you like moba then you should try it, the gameplay should not be hard to understand, a big map divided into three routes (Top, Mid and Bot), two teams of 5 players (5vs5), many heroes with different ability and tasks (support, carry, tank), the goal of the teams is to reach the enemy base by destroying enemy tower and minions, there are lots of mechanical and things to learn but it'svery simple if you take time to read a guide or/and play the tutorial.
one suggestion is to not get depressed by elitist person who will tell you things like: F**k you, your dad, F***ing SS! etc. because there are lot of people like that.
however, in my opinion what makes dota different from other moba is the tactics / strategies usable, well balanced (recently I've some doubt xD), based heavily on skills, a lot of heroes to choose to play and have fun with, totally free and frequently updated.
one of the biggest problems I found is communication, for example when you select EU server and English language, the game start and is most of time like..
Me: Hello guys ^^
Team:привет друг
Team:merhaba arkadaşım
Team:Hola amiga
Team:朋友你好

Game so good...
But if you do not have a team or a premade, it's an adventure into the hell of feeders, toxic people and noobs. Communication is one of the most important factors in addition to the tactics and strategies.
+Different types of heroes.
+Various types of game.
+Excellent graphics setting.
+Wombo combo
-Do not play Russian server, many toxic people.
