The Qualifiers Conclude

Congratulations to the twelve teams that battled through the Open and Regional Qualifiers to earn invitations to The International 2016. While eight of those squads have placed safely into the Main Event alongside the six direct invites, the four Wild Card teams still must face off in Seattle for the final two tournament spots, each one aiming to replicate CDEC's amazing wildcard-to-finals run from last year's tournament. With the Group Stage set to kick off in five short weeks, preparations are in full swing, and now that the qualifiers have concluded, all of the pieces are nearly in place.

About This Game

Dota is a competitive game of action and strategy, played both professionally and casually by millions of passionate fans worldwide. Players pick from a pool of over a hundred heroes, forming two teams of five players. Radiant heroes then battle their Dire counterparts to control a gorgeous fantasy landscape, waging campaigns of cunning, stealth, and outright warfare.

Irresistibly colorful on the surface, Dota is a game of infinite depth and complexity. Every hero has an array of skills and abilities that combine with the skills of their allies in unexpected ways, to ensure that no game is ever remotely alike. This is one of the reasons that the Dota phenomenon has continued to grow. Originating as a fan-made Warcraft 3 modification, Dota was an instant underground hit. After coming to Valve, the original community developers have bridged the gap to a more inclusive audience, so that the rest of the world can experience the same core gameplay, but with the level of polish that only Valve can provide.

Get a taste of the game that has enthralled millions.

Best played with a team or group of friends. You can play the game alone, but the experience of playing by yourself is underwhelmingly inferior to if you play with a group of people whom you know, and can work together well.

Playing by yourself exposes you to the risk of random matchmaking with the server you are in, and if you see feedback on how toxic the community is, this is where it comes from.

Difficulty wise, it can be steep for newcomers, and once you learn the mechanics of the game, you will have to keep yourself updated as there will be patches that changes/add heroes' abilities or items, which would mean meta changes.

If you played Dota 1 you should definitely try Dota 2 with all the improvements, content, graphics, different interface and much better gameplay.

A very nice game to play with your friends, there are some items to collect such as HUD style, vanity items for heroes, announcers, weather types, etc...

Totally recommended.

After playing THOUSANDS of hours in League of Legends, i gave Dota 2 a try. I can already tell Dota 2 is far better than LoL, in every way.

Its a fun game, but it will tear your soul out if you aren't careful. Also a free but rather rage inducing Roseta Stone. Learn up to 6 languages today!

Dota 2 is like an abusive relationship. It's not good for you, but you go back to it anyways because it's addicting. You'll lose a game, feel bad, play again, then if you win you'll feel just content. If you lose again, you'll play again. Repeat. There are good moments, there are bad moments, but most of all there are non-english speakers in english servers. Fortunately if you're looking to learn foreign swear words, this is definitely the game for you.

10/10 would cry again.

Well balanced game. But in order to enjoy this game you should play with the team. Ranked games with random team members bring no fun. Too many idiots who don't know that team (not heroes) wins and they don't know how to play as the team. My first fall occured immediately after qualification. I felt from 2300 to 1200. Over 1 year I spent to raise my score up to 2200. Then I've started falling down (1500 at this moment). So I decided stop playing Dota 2. I wish you all good luck.
