What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“VThree isn't finished yet, and your input and feedback will help shape the game into the final result.

The community experiences, feedback, and play style will influence the final release version of the game greatly. Given that VThree is oriented around tight player controls and difficult but achievable level design, having more players and more eyes on the development process will allow a level of polish and control feel we couldn't otherwise achieve.

The public roadmap for VThree is linked in the community section, and your feedback & input are highly encouraged.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Between 3 and 5 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The primary differences between early access and release will be:

  • Finalized Controls
  • Completed Translations
  • Completed Level Editor
  • Community Server Builds
  • Additional Single Player Levels
  • Additional Multiplayer Levels
  • Community Level Sharing

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable, and technically stable with both Single Player and Multiplayer levels available. Be aware however, that the Level Editor is not yet completely implemented, the learning curve for the game is steep, and level selection is limited on both Single & Multiplayer modes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will most likely increase on release to reflect the completed state of the game, and we offer a lower early access price to thank early adopters for their support.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback, suggestions, and discussions with the community will be gathered from and take place on the VThree Discord channel https://discord.gg/qF36Ft7 , and the public roadmap is available here https://trello.com/b/0Jr2Xyf6/vthree-public-roadmap . We will also be soliciting a handful of community made maps to feature on release.”

Change to next update date

The date of the upcoming November update was mistakenly indicated to be on November 11th. It's actually the 13th. Sorry about that everyone, I don't even know what I was thinking when I wrote the 11th.

Next Update

The next V3 update will drop on November 11th. The game has been ported into the latest engine version, and made a big shift in both art and play directions.

I think you'll be pleased with the next update, and the direction it takes the game. Thank you all for being so chill about the pace of dev. It's on track to leave Early Access on the one year anniversary of it's release.

About This Game

VThree (V3) is the rocket jumping, gravity field floating, fast paced first person platformer you didn’t know you needed. Combining the best of DeFRaG and 3d platforming plumbers, V3 is as rewarding as it is insanely difficult.

In V3 there are no clip walls, no out of bounds areas. If you can get to it, you can explore it, and maybe even use what you’ve found to shave precious milliseconds off your run. Some of the best parts are off to the side and out of the way, and by exploring you can find better, faster lines to the goal.

  • Fully featured Singleplayer campaign
  • Unlockable abilities to advance your play
  • Persistent Multiplayer leaderboards to see how you stack up against friends
  • Dedicated multiplayer servers
  • In-game multiplayer chat

About Early Access
V3 is in Early Access, and is committed to making the most out of that. The roadmap with what features and additions to expect from the Early Access releases is public, and open for comment. Input from the community is encouraged, and the V3 Discord is active with regular discussions and debate on features and ideas. Check the Early Access section for more information.
