About This Game

Set in the zombie apocalypse, Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) is the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning Left 4 Dead, the #1 co-op game of 2008.
This co-operative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through the cities, swamps and cemeteries of the Deep South, from Savannah to New Orleans across five expansive campaigns.
You'll play as one of four new survivors armed with a wide and devastating array of classic and upgraded weapons. In addition to firearms, you'll also get a chance to take out some aggression on infected with a variety of carnage-creating melee weapons, from chainsaws to axes and even the deadly frying pan.
You'll be putting these weapons to the test against (or playing as in Versus) three horrific and formidable new Special Infected. You'll also encounter five new “uncommon” common infected, including the terrifying Mudmen.
Helping to take L4D's frantic, action-packed gameplay to the next level is AI Director 2.0. This improved Director has the ability to procedurally change the weather you'll fight through and the pathways you'll take, in addition to tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match your performance. L4D2 promises a satisfying and uniquely challenging experience every time the game is played, custom-fitted to your style of play.
  • Next generation co-op action gaming from the makers of Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress and Counter-Strike.
  • Over 20 new weapons & items headlined by over 10 melee weapons – axe, chainsaw, frying pan, baseball bat – allow you to get up close with the zombies
  • New survivors. New Story. New dialogue.
  • Five expansive campaigns for co-operative, Versus and Survival game modes.
  • An all new multiplayer mode.
  • Uncommon common infected. Each of the five new campaigns contains at least one new “uncommon common” zombies which are exclusive to that campaign.
  • AI Director 2.0: Advanced technology dubbed “The AI Director” drove L4D's unique gameplay – customizing enemy population, effects, and music, based upon the players’ performance. L4D 2 features “The AI Director 2.0” which expands the Director’s ability to customize level layout, world objects, weather, and lighting to reflect different times of day.
  • Stats, rankings, and awards system drives collaborative play

This is one of my favorite FPS games of all-time. It's a true classic that is every bit as much fun to play today as it was when it released in 2009. Playing online is incredibly challenging and fun because of the varying personalities of people that play the game. It's nice to see the community is still alive and well.

I would give this game a good review since the game is okay but practically unplayable due to toxic players who will argue with you over a weapon and then ♥♥♥♥ you over as much as possible

I have been playing the L4D series on and off for years, and I recently got back into it once again. The community is still going strong, with thousands of players locking and loading to fight the zombie menace.

A big reason I came back was the mods: I have been modding the game for a long while now, but after taking a good amount of time away from the game and coming back and reinstalling a bunch of mods, both old and new, I can safetly say that the game holds up today with barely any issues.

You can mod the game to look graphically superior to most other games that have recently come out, you can change the way you play with gun skins and survivor skins. Heck, you can even change how your guns work with scripts. There is just so much you can do!

All in all, I recommend L4D2. It goes for dirt cheap during sales so I'd recommend picking it up!

FYI: Make sure you don't have any conflicting mods for the ultimate experience when modding your game. Test everything you download to make sure you are running smoothly!

Pros:

Replayability is very high, even for a handful of campaigns.
Survivors are unique and have a lot to say.
The Director will try to actively screw you and your crew over, so always be on your toes!
Mods are plentiful and are still being uploaded to the Workshop and other websites to this very day.
Gunplay is lovely, with the gore on the zombies being gruesome yet awesome to look at.
Versus Mode is fun and challenging.
There is a lot of story and lore to the game. Check the Wiki to learn a lot of information!
The Community!

Cons:

Vanilla can be very repetitive. Recommend getting a buttload of mods!
Prone to some random crashes. This can sometimes be an issue with conflicting mods or your operating system.
Griefers roam the landscape of the game. You'll come across them often. Deal with them accordingly.
Connection problems are still a thing. Make sure your wireless/wired connection is running well!
There are plenty of bugs and glitches in the game, most of them trivial, but some can be a real game killer.

Final Rating: 9/10 (Damn fun. Recommended you play with friends or people with a lot of hours. This is simply the best Zombie CO-OP game out there.)

Stay Together, or be Left 4 Dead.

Left 4 dead 2 is a very original game thats 50x more fun to play with friends. This game REALLY NEEDS MORE UPDATES THOUGH. Not like bug fixes or stuff like that, I mean MORE FEATURES!!!! IM GETTING PRETTY TIRED OF THE SAME STUFF LEFT 4 DEAD HAD FOR A WHILE. Only the workshop(arguably) is whats keeping this game alive.
Pls add some more features. Or I can just wait till L4d3 comes out :P

Left 4 Dead 2 is a pretty fun game, but i hate the fact that sometimes i join a game and i get killed by griefers. I usually make my own servers to have fun with and kick/ban players that dare to ruin the game.

Just beware of those types of people. :]

Kick simulator 2009:

  • Don't have more than 100 hours in-game? Vote kicked.

  • Accidentally miss a charge? Vote kicked.

  • Don't help a pounced survivore within two seconds? Vote kicked.

  • Only incapacitate one survivore as a tank? Vote kicked.

  • Don't share your pills? Vote kicked.

  • Steal somebody's kill? Vote kicked.

  • Walk fifteen meters ahead of your team? Vote kicked.

  • Your team dies but you make it to the safe room? Vote kicked.

  • Didn't attack the survivors the nanosecond your team did? Vote kicked.

  • Accidentally shoot a team mate? Vote kicked.

  • Don't speak Russian? Vote kicked.

Don't get me wrong, this is an absolutely amazing game, if there was a "neutral" button, I'd totally click that, but if you really want to have a good time, play with your friends. Otherwise finding a server with decent people on is very hard.

Convinced my mom to get me a Steam card for my birthday which I used to purchase L4D2. I had played a bit of L4D1 before, but it doesn't compare to this one. Every Valve game I've played has been fantastic, which includes Portal 1, 2 and L4D. The Physics are hyper-realistic, the textures are flawless, and on top of all that beauty lies the fact that it runs very smoothly on my computer. Not a whole lot of guns, but the realism and amazingness makes up for it. Valve is doing fantastic work, now all we need is Left 4 Dead 3!

Ahhh Where do i start....
I got this game for really cheap, 4$ to be exact, on a random weekend sale.
I know, not everyone is going to respect my opinion, since i "Just got 30 hrs" in this game.
I loved this game, i was so hyped for getting it downloaded the second i bought it.
At the time this was the game i needed in my life. But that opinion quickly changed...
So.. This game is supposed to be casual, it just has some fun gamemodes, no ranked, no competitive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t.
But, there are still (80% of players) people that take this game way too ♥♥♥♥ing seriously.
Like, there is nothing wrong if you want to be good, or you just wanna win, but here's where the problem starts:
IF you call out teammates for being bad, and not even giving them a chance to improve (Calling a vote to kick, and ofc everyone votes ♥♥♥♥ing yes.) that is a scummy thing to do.
IF you're being butthurt in the chat while you're playing a CASUAL game, you are an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!
And so much more...
Here, this is my story: I Was never particularly good at fps games, but I enjoy a lot of them. This game is one of them, BUT as I said I'm not good.(I miss a lot, I'm not very good at controlling recoil, and I have a poor eyesight.) And, today i tried to play 4 times:
1. I was bad with ♥♥♥♥ing boomer, i got kicked.
2. Someone overreacted to something i did, and i called him out.
3. I couldn't help my teammates up 1 round, and we lost that one.
4. I was in realism, and I couldn't help my teammate, and i got captured by a jockey, so we lost that ONE ROUND.
I literally couldn't play 1 ♥♥♥♥ing game without getting kicked for not being MLG PRO.
If you couldn't tell, I'm ♥♥♥♥ing mad, just reviewing my experience with this game.
I Loved this game, and I still want to, but these people just drag me away.
But... If after all this, you think you can handle these butthurt pieces of ♥♥♥♥, I can recommend the game for you because, as i said, its fun. It's probably the best Zombie themed games out there. Plus with addons, you can make it seem like a completely different game, which I find very good, and it pumps up the fun.
So in conclusion, This game is very good, but people playing it will drag most people away from playing it more.
So... Who should buy this game? Hardly trigerred people with nerves made out of rope. Pro Cod zombies players. No-life ♥♥♥♥.
However... I won't stop you from buying it, just keep this in mind...

Left4Dead2 is Left4Dead2!

One of the best. bloodiest and funniest zombie-shooter.
Unlike the previous part, now you have a variety of choices how and with what you're going to kill hordes of zombies. New special infected, new weapons (melee, shotguns, sniper, rifles and grenades), new medicine and of course new characters and new game modes. Also the large workshop with new campaigns, skins, sounds and a lot of useful stuff for any taste.

It is also great that there is an ability to play the campaigns from the first Left4Dead and there is a connection between the characters from both parts.

If you like zombie apocalypse theme, then this is the game you must play! Grab your friends and lets kill these undead ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s!

10 burning tanks of 10.
