What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“After releasing Civil War: Battle of Petersburg we saw how much people care about our games. Bugs were found and quickly fixed, thanks to the involvement of the community. Engaging players early on will help us build a better game. With your help, we can make this game a reality!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Two years at the very least.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Full save functionality. A detailed graphical options menu. Boss battles. Currently you can find only the bass guitar and the keyboards. The final version will let you find full gear for the band. Multiple difficulty levels will be added. Only normal mode is currently available for battles but we will add an easy and hard mode. Story bits in comic form. A proper ending with all the instruments being played and the Greymen reunited.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can travel the wastes, slay mutants in underground battles, collect items and buy weapons with random powers. There are currently no boss battles. The saving function is incomplete. Only your location and the amount of mutant teeth collected will be currently saved. Found items are not saved. The procedural weapons will be lost, but you get back mutant teeth spent on them.
The game currently has no ending. You can grind endlessly for mutant teeth in the underground battles in search for the perfect weapon of the day.
There might be visual glitches, animations not starting or ending correctly and layers might not work as intended. Controller is not supported. Opening the inventory works only correctly by clicking the backpack. Opening the inventory with any other inputs is not functioning as intended. A lot of work is yet to be done.
Even with the problems described above, we feel the game is very unique and now is the right time to let gamers immerse themselves into the world we created. We are two years into development and only recently introduced the strategy part into the game. We used everything we learned from Civil War:Battle of Petersburg to build a fun combat system. The community can help drastically change the game for the better and we can see if we went into the right direction with our design decisions.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will increase once with the addition of new content and functionality before the final release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We welcome everyone to join our Steam Discussions board and give feedback there. We will read everything and make a list of priorities in what the community would like us to change or fix first.”
