Base Raid 1.0.0 - Steam Workshop, Grenade Launchers and much more!

Base Raid 1.0.0 is now available.

After years of working on Base Raid we have finally reached a state for the game that we can call it "finished" in a way. We will although of course still fix any issues and might work on new features but we will move our main focus to future games. So, thank you, everyone, for helping us get here and we hope you will enjoy our work.

- The Base Raid dev team

Steam Workshop

Base Raid now has Steam Workshop support which lets you share your own creations to the Steam Community with a single push of a button straight from inside of Base Raid. We may also add in some of the workshop stages into the game if we find great stages.

To learn more about posting your Workshop stages, visit this guide: Workshop Guide

Grenade Launchers

There's a new type of turrets; grenade launchers. These new turrets obviously shoot grenades but more interestingly they can shoot four different types of grenades which can be chosen from the base editor.

The grenade types are as follows:

Basic
These are just regular grenades, nothing fancy here.

Incendiary
These grenades create some flames when they hit something.

EMP
These grenades disable generators, turrets and shields inside of a small area.

Cluster
These grenades break into three separate grenades and then explode one by one.

Generators

There are now generators which are required for all the turrets and shields to work. They also have a much more intuitive editing interface than the turrets.

New Vehicles

There are also some new vehicles in the game:

Armored Jeep
This is like a regular jeep but has a tougher armor.

Flamethrower Jeep
This is slightly sturdier than a regular jeep but also has a flamethrower attached to it so it can deal some extra damage.

Jet
This is a faster plane than the bomber but can carry less bombs.

New Bombs

There are new bombs that the air strikes drop:

Incendiary
This bomb creates some flames when hitting it's target.

Large Bomb
This is an extremely powerful bomb which consist of multiple explosions and flames. Definitely worth a try!

Small Changes

The flames in Base Raid have been completely renewed and are hugely more dynamic than the ones before.

Some stages have been balanced.

Some major and also minor issues have been fixed.

“Base Raid, while not yet in a finished state, is full of potential. I can't wait to see what else they add to make the player flex those creative brain cells.”

About This Game

Base Raid is a 2D base build and defence strategy game.

The game will be improved with what the community is looking for.

In the game your goal is to build the best base to crush the enemy before it crushes you.

Everyone loves having the chance to build what they want to, but people also enjoy destroying other peoples’ creations. In Base Raid you can build anything you want to with the only limit being the available materials and resources.
When you’re done building you can then get to the real fun part:
Destroying buildings.

Buy airstrikes and tanks and blow up the enemy base or capture the towers, keeping the enemy away at the same time. By destroying the enemy base you get more resources to build even better bases.

If you are the kind of person that wants to just see how bad your friends are at the game, you can build a base with limitless resources in the stage editor and challenge your friends.

The game currently has singleplayer levels with two game modes.
