Update #15 - Six Feet Under

Welcome back, fellow investigators! Hope you're having a great 2017 so far.

This weeks' update main feature is the addition of the Alvira Shelter, a new environment filled with misteries yet to be revealed... before you get trapped inside!

In this location, survivors will roam the abandoned facilities while the creature stalks them from the many nooks hidden in this rotten bunker.

We've also reviewed the gameplay stats from the past weeks and done some balancing tweaks to a few characters.

New features:

  • New Level: Alvira Shelter
  • Added a new Cutscene when the investigators win the game.
  • Removed Christmas skins.
  • Changed "Create Private Game" option in the Main Menu to "Create Custom Game", adding the option to create a Coop-only (vs AI) game.
  • You can now drop items by holding the item key. You can share medkits this way.

  • Improved wording of the game tip telling the investigator what to do when the monster is in front of him.
  • Reordered Investigator/Flashlight stats in the selection screens to a more intuitive order.

  • Fixed Subject 23 Scarecrows not affecting sanity
  • Fixed some collision issues in Norwood Praire
  • Fixed AI still moving when the game ended.
  • Fixed connection quality not being properly shown when the player is dead.
  • Fixed music trigger distance not being properly calculated (it only triggered when really close to the monster).
  • Fixed replay screen not going back automatically to the lobby if the score was 0.

Gameplay changes:
  • Toy Torch: Reduced Stealth and Battery life
  • Pumpkin lantern: Increased light brightness (not range).
  • Subject 23: Summoner trait value increased, now it also reduces shared cooldowns
  • Anne Marie: Scientist perk now applies to tapes picked nearby.
  • Anne Marie: Increased bravery
  • Hannah: Reduced Exploration
  • Hannah: Increased Deafness effect
  • Jean Luc: Switched Martyr perk for Helpful (increase nearby investigators' Endurance)
  • Now item types are not entirely random when spawned, there's a minimum number of each.

Update #14 - We have a present for you

A new investigator joins the search in this update! Vincent, the retired actor, will show these youngsters how it's done.

We've also added a set of Christmas skins so you can properly enjoy the game these holidays. Ho, Ho, Ho!

This is the last update for this year (unless something it's broken and a Hotfix is required), we'll now go enjoy a well deserved Christmas Vacation and will be back in a few weeks! But don't worry, we'll make sure to pass by the forums and read your suggestions and feedback there!

New features:

  • Added a new unlockable investigator: Vincent
  • Added a set of Christmas skins.

Gameplay changes:
  • Statuette: The statuette now disables the creature's capability to see highlights until destroyed
  • Lightsticks can be dropped in place by holding the lightstick key.
  • Fixed Toy Torch invalid stats
  • Reduced negative effects of many investigator perks, improved beneficial effects of a few others.

  • Now the stats are shown in a 1 to 10 scale, and the numeric value is shown together with the bars.
  • Actions that take time to perform (such as picking up items, disabling totems, casting creature powers...) can be cancelled by pressing the Interact key.
  • Investigators now turn their heads when looking up/down

About This Game

Enjoy a fresh horror experience with White Noise 2!

White Noise 2 is the sequel of the successful White Noise Online. Be a part of the investigator team, or take control of the creature and devour them! White Noise 2 offers a 4vs1 asymmetric horror experience that won't leave anyone unmoved.

Play with your friends

White Noise 2 features a simple matchmaking system that allows you to play with your friends without complications. Enter the game, choose your side or leave it to luck, and start playing!

The investigators are back

As an investigator, explore the area, cooperate with your partners, and make sure not to get lost, or you'll be easy prey for the creature! Try not to lose your sanity and watch your flashlight battery level to avoid walking blind.

And the creature as well!

As the creature, stalk your preys and hunt them without being seen. Light can stun you, so use your powers to avoid it and wreak havoc upon the investigators, spreading them to make easier preys. Summon totems that will warn you of the presence of nearby investigators, and prevent them from picking the 8 tapes before you finish them off!

Back from the grave

In White Noise 2, death doesn't mean game over. Rise as a ghost and take advantage of your enhanced exploration skills to help the remaining investigators in their search.

Unlock new items

Unlock new characters and flashlights as you play, including the classic White Noise Online characters. Each one has different specializations and skills. Do you prefer a stealhty approach, or will focus on speed even while making noise? Better flashlight battery, or improved exploration skills?

Relive the best moments

Of course, the signature replay screen is back in White Noise 2. Once the thrilling session is over, take a laugh checking how the team walked in circles, or one of the investigators got lost!
