What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are a small team of people who have nostalgia for the age of early online-sandboxes and isometric classics — games full of freedom and possibilities. Wild Terra is the spiritual successor to sandboxes of that time produced using modern technologies and new finds in the genre. In our game, you, together with other players, create your own medieval world: from terramorphing and construction, to everyday life, economy, and laws, without any NPCs or quests.
In a game with such mechanics you are given a key role, and for versatile development of the project, we need a dialogue with you. By giving you Early Access, we hope to get feedback and suggestions to adjust the development of the game at an early stage. We consider all ideas, choose the best ones that don't contradict with our views, and implement them in the game!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Release of the full version is scheduled in the end of 2017. At the moment, the active development of the game still continues, it's an ongoing process of adding new features and adjustments of things that are already done.
Once we understand that all we wanted is implemented, fixed and perfectly finished, Wild Terra will come out of the Early Access. But the development won't end there, after the release we will continue to develop and add new content to our game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“While Wild Terra is in Early Access, we are going to expand the possibilities of the game with each update. It's hard to list everything we have planned to accomplish before release, but it is worth mentioning the most important things:
  • More new construction options, walls, roofs, fences, castle structures and industrial buildings
  • New types of weapons, armor, tools, and siege weapons
  • More possibilities and prospects in our skill system: blacksmithing, carpentry, mining, lumbering, survival, leatherworking, skinning and others
  • New crafting recipes and skills
  • A wider variety of animals and pets, different colors and customizations
  • Private servers with a thorough set of settings. You will be able to create your own unique universe
  • Mines, caves and dungeons
  • Night and day cycle. Weather effects
  • Clan system
  • Free economy
  • Polished PvP with combat skills
  • Arenas and team fights
  • Character customization
Beyond such planned features, will be adding TONS of aspects suggested or iterated on by the community, hence the point of Early Access!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Much of our plans, as well as players' proposals that are already implemented in Wild Terra. Together with you we will finalize the game, make it better and even more diverse with each update. We fling ourselves into the work on Wild Terra, and despite the small size of the team, at the current stage of development, updates are released once every two weeks. The game is being filled with new content, current possibilities are expanding, number of bugs and flaws is being eliminated.
There is already a large number of basic features in Wild Terra that will continue to increase:
  • Survival in a huge world
  • Hunting, resource gathering and scavenging
  • Animal taming and riding mounts
  • Free construction
  • Crafts and skills: Blacksmithing, Mining, Leatherworking, Pottery, Carpentry, Husbandry, Cookery and many more
  • Embellishment of dwellings and lands

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price of the game in Early Access is lower than the price of the final version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Any player can suggest adding something new or removing and reworking something that already exists. You can discuss your ideas with us and other players on forums. Furthermore, the community actively contributes to finding and eliminating errors/bugs of the game.
Thanks to our players, Wild Terra already supports 13 languages, and we hope that there will be more dedicated volunteers who will want to help us translate the game into their native languages. The community fills our Wiki with knowledge about Wild Terra, helping newbies to orient in the game easier, as well as organizing all available information and making it easier to work with.
All those who actively participate in development of the project, we regularly reward with in-game bonuses and access keys for their friends.
Join us now and make your contribution to the development of Wild Terra!”

About This Game

Wild Terra Online is a massively multiplayer life simulator in a fully player-driven medieval world.
Here everyone will find an occupation that appeals to one’s soul: world exploration, hunting, crafting, home decorating, fights and castle sieges.
Start as a survivor - become a medieval king!

Core features:
  • Huge open world based on a realistic medieval Europe.
  • Explore a world that is completely created and driven by players. There are no pre-built castles, NPCs, or quests in the game. Only players themselves are able to build roads, cut down forests, found new towns … shape the server as they want!
  • Open world with the possibility to build wherever you want. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a campfire for one night or eventually an entire castle!
  • Deep crafting system with different professions to indulge in: agriculture, animal husbandry, cooking, smithing, and more. There are lots of resources to gather and recipes to learn.
  • Success in PvP depends on tactics and a player’s skill. Having a high level and upgraded equipment does not always guarantee a win. Wise usage of advantages such terrain and choice of one’s equipment are also keys to winning fights.
  • Servers for those interested in hardcore survival with full loot drop on death, destructible buildings, and PvP. There are also quiet servers for those who prefer a calm atmosphere and a non-PvP experience.
